In 1989, Tim and Karen Keefe established Gil Plumbing, welcoming their son Elliott into the world shortly after. The family worked together until 2015, when Tim and Karen decided to transition into semi-retirement. Elliott became the owner of Gil Plumbing in early 2015, and with the help of Tim and Karen, he established Illinois Plumbing & Mechanical Company in November 2015. In November 2018, Elliott invited his wife Amanda to join the team, and together they strive to deliver excellent plumbing services and customer care to Grayslake and nearby areas.

As a fourth-generation plumber, Elliott grew up surrounded by family members in the plumbing industry, including his father, grandfather, and two uncles.
