Another Friday plumbing emergency. while using the garbage disposal without warning it came to an abrupt halt and it was still full. Instant stress! I don't know anything about garbage disposals except the on and off switch. I was expecting to have to replace it. I took a deep breath and immediately reached out to Tony the owner of iFixdit. He came to my rescue previously with replacing my water heater. I explained what happed and he patiently and meticulously walked me through troubleshooting the problem. And with his knowledge and expertise we got the garbage disposal running . He is a true professional!!

I had a pipe burst in a poorly installed wet bar sink left by my home's previous owner. My HVAC company wasn't licensed to repair it. Due to other old valves in the house I couldn't stop the leak without shutting off my steam heat boiler. Plumbers my HVAC people recommended either didn't return the call, or flat out refused to cross City Ave. to do the job. I live near Montgomery County, PA. I've had many contractors refuse to come two blocks into the city. Ifixdit Plumbing, busy on jobs, called back in less than 15 minutes, was at my house in 24 hours, repaired the leak by cutting out the sink and capping the pipes at my request. Also replaced the two bad valves that forced me to shut off my heat. My new go-to guys!

In May, the sewer started leaking a bit, and the basement smelled.
Having no plumbing problems in the past (purchased a rehab), I googled plumbers for a non-emergency repair.

Tony came out and told me the water was NOT a sewer leak. That the source was a water-line problem and the smell was street-side requiring 1000's in excavation.
The very next day the basement flooded, with sewer water, because (shock) the sewer line was clogged.

Tony came out and for $300 pulled out a single tampon. He claimed that one item caused a clog in a main sewer pipe... He did not re-snake, run a videoscope or do anything else.

The problem which he was called for, the smell, was not solved. It got worse, so I assumed it was the result of the flooding, and treated the basement for mold. It didn't help.

In July, the basement flooded again. This time far more at about 1/4 inch deep. Tony, laughing, refused to come out.

It cost me $60 to rent an auger to get the clog cleared. It caused about $1000 in damages, 2 weeks to clean.

For $300 Tony's sloppy self ""missed"" a quart of tampons. 31 to be exact - an entire box minus one tampon he found- a former tenant flushed into the toilet. The smell is gone, of course.

Oh, I-fixd-it, alright. Tony didn't.

Please, hire someone else.

Edit: the response includes numerous ad-hominem accusations, the least that I am not a real customer. Included is that they guarantee their work. I had to tread ankle knee for several hours in the value of THAT guarantee.

Tony came out right away let me know up front that there was an estimated charge which would b waved and included in the price if I wanted the work done . The next day after his other customer was serviced he was here as promised, he took his time and made sure the job was done RIGHT! Tony was very helpful and professional. He responded late in the evening around 7pm when my basement sink was backfilling with sewage. He arrived quickly and was great at explaining what we were looking at and what was the issue. He was able to quickly fix the blockage and gave me some tips on how to spot an issue before it gets bad.

It was a regular morning when a family member was in the shower. When I hear one of the worst sounds to a homeowner.... water crashing down into the living room. We Immediately turn the water off. I pulled the access panel and could not find a leak anywhere. We did not want things to get worse so I jumped on Angie's List didn't like what I saw. He is a master plumber and found our leak in no time. His price was very reasonable. He even gave us a price to replace all of the old lead pipes in the entire bathroom. I would use him again.

Contacted Tony through Yelp and he came pass within hours to look at my list of items. Full disclosure, I had plumbing issues in my basement, kitchen, bathroom, and main drain outside; totally stressful. Tony provided me an estimate and we scheduled to complete the job around my schedule.

Having everything work properly actually took a couple days to get use to, I wish I did not wait so long to contact him. I would definitely recommend to all my friends and family; now stop your waiting!

Great experience with Tony. I had a clogged drain that was backing up into my basement. I had one plumber come out before him telling me it wasn't a clog. I called Tony on a weekend and he picked up right away and scheduled me in quickly. He came and quickly diagnosed that it was, in fact, a clog. He came when he said he would, cleaned up after himself, and his price was good. After being impressed with his work, I had him replace a pipe for me and do some other maintenance stuff and he was great to work with for both. Tony is now my go-to plumber... though I hope I don't have to call him for a long time.
