A Local Las Vegas Plumbing Company That Embraces the Spirit of Giving Back
Ideal Services Supports the Community That Has Supported Us
Las Vegas, NV: Ideal Services, a local plumbing, AC/HVAC, and electrical contractor, has made a donation exceeding $12,000.00 to the Cimarron High School Athletics Department. This donation helps meet the students' equipment needs and covers other sports expenses.
About the recent donation, Ron Madruga, owner of Ideal Services, said, ""Ideal Services has been dedicated to serving the Las Vegas Valley for over a decade. The community has been incredibly supportive of us. Las Vegas is our home, and it’s where we are raising our family. Our kids participate in sports, and high school athletics played a major role in my life growing up. I realize that sports programs are frequently the first to face cuts when budgets are reduced. I wanted to assist in offsetting some of that, which is the reason my company made this donation.

Lynette T.I had a service call through my Home Warranty and was assigned this company. Day of Appointment the guy didnt come by allotted time given to me. He called 45 minutes late and left a message that if I didnt call in 10 minutes I would have to reschedule. I called back and he was hugely abusive in manner of speaking to me and hung up on me. I called office and insisted on another tech. One was sent a couple days later and he fixed it quickly but we paid him in cash and the shoddy receipt that wasnt legible couldnt be read and now we have been billed again. Way unprofessional and when calling the office my call was disconnected 4 times before I got to talk with anyone. One girl said dropped calls were normal for them!!! I hope no one is forced to use them like I was by my warranty company
Caron B.Upon arrival, until they left they were very professional. David Betterton and another plumber showed up and David shook my hand and I led them inside and showed them the little hole in my kitchen faucet and how my hand held shower head was leaking and not work correctly. They had another kitchen faucet assembly with them but/and had to call Fidelity Home Warranty for approval of the hand held shower head. David was on hold forever (20 plus minutes)getting approval for the hand held shower assembly and was installing the kitch faucet assembly while he was on hold. He patiently waited for the approval and then had to leave to pick up the hand held shower assembly. He said it would take and hour for their return and almost at the exact 1 hour limit my doorbell rang and they were back. They go the same WaterPik assemble that I had before.
I now have a perfect working and nice looking new faucet assembly in my kitchen and new hand held shower head.
I am soooo happy with Ideal Services and when I need a plumber again I hope I get David Betterton again too.
These people were sent-out by American Home Shield. Their personnel are usually courtesy but simply miss their mark. A handle came-off my sink. I wasn't exactly sure how to accomplish the repair and felt an ""expert"" should have done in a few minutes. Walter came to the house, looked at the component, played with an Allen Wrench, and advised that the item could not be repaired, a new faucet was needed, and wanted to install something totally different. THE BOTTOM LINE....... after going back and forth with Ideal Services and American Home Shield, I learned that I had no coverage for faucets, paid the $75.00 service fee, and actually repaired the handle myself. Do not use these people! They have no patience, common sense, professional expertise, and will ""throw you under the bus"" with the home warranty company!
We had to go through this company through our home warranty, they replaced the water heater and did some plumbing in the garage. Come to find out 3 plumbers later all told us that whoever did your water heater did a horrible job. The mounting was corroding and needed to be fixed. We called ideal back out because THEY GUARANTEE THEIR HORRIBLE WORK, so they gave us a 4 hr window, a NO SHOW! We called and the dispatcher said I cannot find the driver ( wow another RED FLAG) so my husband said I want to talk to the owner, of course hes no where to be found either, and if he cared would he run his business like this, doubt it! We were pissed to wait between 8am-12 for a 4 hr window and no courtesy call to say my driver is running late, instead we called and they said sorry we don't know where hes at. This company sucks, do not use them, go through angies list or something else because you will regret using ideal..
No no no. Awful and completely useless and unprofessional. Customer service is rude and unhelpful. Technicians apparently do not know what they are doing. If you want something done right and in a timely manner, I advise staying away from ideal services. Period
Angela O.This company has technicians that go to the wrong address and work on the wrong house! Scary if they can't get your address correct, we must also question their expertise!
I will say that the tech that came to replace our water heater was amazing. Personable, professional, knowledgeable and efficient. Their tech, David, may very well have been the best quality tech we have ever had in our home and I'm sure he will excel at all he endeavors. I WISH I COULD SAY THE SAME OF THE COMPANY HE WORKS FOR, was quoted one price by 2 different of their employees and charged $20 more ultimately. The owner even spoke to me and said he didn't see the price I was quoted anywhere so regardless of what you are quoted be sure you check your paper work to verify or you may be surprised when you are asked to pay the bill. Just be careful to check all numbers presented and that they match what is on any paperwork you are given. I would give David 5 stars, the company, 2, maybe.
First American sent out Ideal Services after we discovered a leak in the wall behind our kitchen sink. Because the water seemed to be in the area of the drain pipe, he immediately just assumed that was the problem and instead of looking into it further, just recommended me to a restoration company for water damage (who I also thought was awful upon meeting him). Had another plumber come out and the real issue was an improper repair in the water line. Had Ideal just cut a little hole into the drywall by the drain, he'd have seen the drip coming from above the drain pipe. It felt like he was looking for reasons/excuses not to do any repairs. Would not have Ideal back ever!
Awful. Completely unacceptable business practices.
Five weeks after showing up an hour late to diagnose my problem (and collect my service fee!), they have canceled one appointment because they didn't reserve a ladder (to complete a job on a ceiling fan - pretty obvious need). Then they were a no-show on the reschedule. Then when I requested to be first on their call sheet for the next time, they sort of said they would try to do that, but again tried to reschedule on the day-of because they didn't have a helper scheduled. The supervisor I spoke with (at 9:30 am) offered no alternative or reconciliation except ""the technician should be there between 8-12, that's all we can do ma'am."" After several failed appointments on their end, I requested at the very least some kind of priority, but she gave me a brush off and the usual insincere ""have a nice day."" I finally called my home warranty company to switch vendors. Absolutely infuriating nightmare for a simple repair, and they have no accountability and no incentive to actually show up and service a customer.
HOMEOWNER BEWARE! This is the worst company I have ever hired to work at my home. I wish negative stars were available.
We purchased a new above ground spa in October 2015 and it was wired 110V with a factory installed 15' electrical cord with a GFCI reset button at the end of the plug, and could also be converted to 220V. I called Ideal Services in March 2016 to send an electrician to change the wiring from 110V to 220V because the spa would run more efficiently. I previously had a spa in the same place on the patio that was hooked up to an existing 220V wiring.
The electrician quoted $2200 to bring the existing 220V wiring up to current code buried underground, install a disconnect switch, and install a new 50 amp GFCI breaker. I paid $1100 deposit and scheduled the job, with balance to be paid COD on completion.
The electrician arrived on the scheduled appointment date and began the job. I asked him if he needed the spa installation schematic, and he replied no. At the end of the day, after completing the wiring as quoted, he informed me that the spa was not working now. He suggested the spa needed service by a qualified spa technician. I paid the balance of $1100 at this time according to our agreement even though the spa did not operate.
A couple of days later, the electrician called and stated that he researched my particular spa and discovered that it requires a 4-wire rather than 3-wire 220V line that he installed. He returned to correct the wiring. Now he informed me that I would have to pay an additional $1645 to run a new 4-wire line. I objected and refused to pay an additional amount. My spa was useless at this point, so I told him to put it back to 110V. He said he could do that, but I would have to pay additional $800. He completed the job, and again informed me that the spa was not working. He heard it try to start once and shut down. He suggested again that it needed service by a spa technician. I again refused to pay the additional $800 until the spa was checked out by a qualified spa technician.
I called the spa distributor and contacted the spa technician they referred. He found that the transformer on the circuit board was blown out, and that most likely the wiring was done without properly disconnecting a neutral wire prior to changing the voltage which caused the transformer to blow when it tried to start up. Since the cause of transformer failure was done by faulty wiring, the warranty was now null and void. The cost for parts and labor was $550 to replace the circuit board. Spa technician also noted that one valve in the control panel had been closed. If the spa did start, this would have caused the motor to burn up. No one but the electrician has worked on, or opened, the panels to close a valve since it was delivered in November 2015 and set up by the distributor!
Proper wiring instructions to change wiring from 110V to 220V was available to the electrician in the spa located on the inner wall of the removable control panel directly to the right of the power control plate where he was working. If he had read the instructions, he should have known the proper wiring installation before completing the job on the first visit. Electrician cut and TOOK the 15' electrical cord with GFCI reset button. This was a factory installed electrical cord in my spa and belongs to the owner! He also removed a 50 amp breaker from the electric box on the side of my house and TOOK it, another part belonging to the homeowner!
When I tried to resolve these issues with the owner, Ron Madruga, his attitude was very rude and very poor customer service. After sending out another technician to inspect the spa wiring, he said his company would accept full responsibility for the damage done at my property and stated he thinks his company did the work contracted. After discussing and telling him I intended to contact the Contractors Board and write poor reviews, he said ""remember this, it's tit for tat"" and hung up on me.
Ideal Services did not complete the job for wiring 220V to my spa as contracted. There has been no offer to adjust the price for the work done. The price I paid to have my spa re-wired for 110V (which I already had wired from the factory) was excessive pricing! Ideal Services did repay me for the $550 spa repair expense. The 15' electrical cord with GFCI reset button and the 50 amp breaker has not been returned to the homeowner.
