Lars came out to repair our heat pump system, which another company told me that it needed to be replaced. He was very conscientious, courteous and extremely efficient. He repaired the system with parts on his truck in no time. I highly recommend them.

So, our in sink disposal died as predicted by the plumber at the last visit. Called Ideal yesterday and the receptionist was very kind & professional. Was able to schedule for 2 days out. Received a call that they could come sooner. Yes please. Alfredo & Rafael arrived promptly. Am so pleased with the work & advice provided. I can't say enough about Alfredo. He works fast & thoroughly with the greatest disposition! Would definitely recommend & use this company in the future.

Yesterday we turned on our 16-year-old air conditioner for the first time since your installation of our new conduit. The difference was dramatic. Not only was cool air coming out of each vent at least twice as forcefully as it ever had before, but the hot air exhaust from our compressor seemed like the business end of a jet engine!

I've come to fully appreciate that in your business what you do is out of sight, and consumers need to trust that a conduit install is completely sealed and efficiently designed. I've learned the hard way that out of ignorance or indifference many HVAC companies fall woefully short of this trust. Even one of SDG&E's approved HVAC companies failed us miserably.

In spite of the fact that this job, in our shallow under-house crawl space, proved far more difficult and took longer than planned, your installers took no shortcuts. They made the point that the owner of Ideal Plumbing directed them to always do their jobs correctly, as if they were doing it for their own home. Refreshing to experience such a work ethic.

If you have a difficult plumbing question, there is a guy there called Bill who really knows his stuff. He walked me through fixing my Toto toilet and even gave me a gasket I needed for the job. That's service. When I have a job I decide I can't do myself (which will be soon because my plumbing skills are limited :) ), I'll definitely use Ideal. I'm sure Home Depot/Lowes is cheaper for parts, but you can waste a heck of a lot of time there getting the wrong parts and messing up the job. Speaking with someone knowledgeable is worth a heck of a lot of money.

I called several recommended plumbers but chose this one based on positive reviews and a quote on the phone saying the job would be $400-600. They promised they would send a very experienced technician and it would be a 1/2 day job. The cost was $832.00 which included some $30.00 fee I was also never told about. The other plumbers quoted a flat rate fee per one hole faucet and another flat fee for 3 hole faucets which would have been $200.00 cheaper but I went with IDEAL because of my phone conversation. I am very upset and called the company and they denied anyone said that to me and took no responsibility. The technician seemed nice and knowledgeable but I will NEVER recommend this company for its misleading sales techniques. VERY UNHAPPY WITH IDEAL PLUMBING!

As a realtor I need to know that the tradesmen I refer to my clients offer consistently good work at a fair price. When the air conditioning at a listing wasn't working and another company told my client the unit was missing a compressor I called Ideal to find out what a new system would cost. Although they were very busy, they fit my client in on the next day. The tech (Matt) came out and was professional and extremely knowledgeable. After a quick peek at the unit he determined it was a broken wire and not a missing compressor that was causing the problem. Needless to say he saved my client a great deal of money. I was very impressed with his ability to quickly assess and solve the problem. This isn't my first dealing with Ideal but the first time I have done a Yelp review on them. All previous interactions would also have been five stars!

I needed a new kitchen faucet Monday, August 22. I called Ideal and I was given a quote of $300 for the Kohler faucet that would match my existing sink and $115 for labor. They were able to come out the same day (so, I'll change the one star to two stars).
The repairperson was on time and business-like, and I feel knew what he was doing. However, price was never mentioned until completion. He gave me the invoice and I was shocked to see the bill was $600+. I am a Vietnam Veteran on Social Security, and money is precious to me. I believe any reputable business would advise the client if the actual price is going to be outrageously more than the original quote. I understand quotes are quotes, but verifying the client is willing to pay $200 more should be required of a business.
I won't use them again. If you decide to use them, use caution about the quote.

After reading the response from the CEO, he obviously was not informed that I was not informed of an hourly fee, never mentioned at all. I was told the price of the faucet plus labor of $118. I was never told about a $30 fee at all. When I was transferred to a person for this quote it was obvious he was occupied with something else.
The response from the CEO convinces me that this company is not a company that cares for anything other than their bottom line. I revise my review to One Star. I recommend no one trust or use this company! $600+ for a faucet. Think about it!
