They misquoted the hourly rate, and I ended up doling out $350 for a simple garbage disposal replacement. The technician was late the the appointment and also didn't apply discounts until repeatedly reminded. I'll look elsewhere next time I need plumbing work done.

I will never recommend or use Ideal again. They are anything but. While the tech's work was competent, I was quoted one price, and greatly overcharged. I was told that it would cost $98.00 for the first half hour and $62.00 for each additional half hour. That the time would start when the tech arrived at my door. He arrived at 11:15 that day, not 11:00 AM as he put on the bill. Also he listed .5 hours of travel time. Not counting the 2lbs of gas for $70.00, which is correct, I should have been charged before tax, $98.00+$62.00+$62.00+$62.00= $284.00 plus the $70.00 for the gas equals $354.00 right? I was charged $462.00 minus a 10% discount that I had to ask for. As a senior on social security, I cannot afford to be cheated this way. Ideal? NOT hardly!

I have used Ideal in the past, present, and will continue to use them in the future. I replaced my furnace with a high efficiency Armstrong Air (Lennox) in 2005, my air conditioning unit in 2009 or so, and recently needed some service on the furnace / A/C fan. The DC fan motor controller decided to bite the dust, and no worries... make a quick call, they had a same day service timeslot open, and get it fixed. Bang, boom, done. Electronics fail, and I'm not blaming the furnace company. I'd still buy Lennox/Armstrong in the future, and I'd definitely choose Ideal to do that bid/installation.
