Do not use this place! Worst company I've ever dealt with. Forced to use them by my home warranty company. They sent a guy out to look at my clogged drain, he spent 5 min checking it out and decided I needed a new part. He collected my check and left. Never heard back about a rescheduled appointment to install the part. My warranty company called them to see what was up, they never responded to them. So in short they took my money and never got back in touch with me or the warranty company. So again, don't ever use them.

2 sinks, 2 drains, 1 water leak under said kitchen sink & the bathroom tub drain....

These are all the areas that Ideal Plumbing and their plumber Pete came out to our Casa to have a look-see at......

Of course I never would have selected them to do this if I weren't strong armed into it by the home warranty company: First American Homebuyers Protection Corp and yes I did just enter their name as I felt compelled to after my convo with them which included this sentence:

""The last contractor you dispatched never actually made it as they were beyond terribly neglectful at returning calls let alone the rudeness of the man-child answering their phone... Plus I Yelped this Ideal Plumbing company & the previous company MSE Plumbing who never even made it out to our Casa as I released him from his obligations due to the fact that it took a week to get the first appointment and when that didn't pan out they expected to push it out another week therefore; released. Now I am requesting another more competent contractor, but I Yelped them and they have terrible reviews stating the only reason they used them was due to their home warranty mandate""....

Needless to say that didn't go over well and so Ideal Plumbing was booked and scheduled for the job.

Result:

The office of Ideal Plumbing called promptly & within a day after receiving the work-order from the home warranty company. Our issues were not 'emergency' so I'm satisfied with this time frame.

The tech called within 30minutes to let us know they were on their way out.

He looked at ALL the areas and fixed the ones needed and so far a week later everything is working as it should.

He also took the time to educate us on the workings of the original 1950's drain in the tub which is actually working perfectly however the way it drains is due to the design of it back in the era... This I think I appreciated as much as the work done itself as now I can stop cussing it out every night when I drain my bathwater. He didn't have to go the extra mile to do this. So +1 for good form Plumber Pete.

$60 copay for the service using the home warranty & it was worth it as we've got to many other fish to fry with this new Casa several have now been scratched off the list from hell......

Would I recommend them?

I'm not sure as I have no idea what their regular non-home-warranty rates are nor if they treat their non-home-warranty customers differently or not, but I can vouch for the fact that on this lone call they did exactly what needed to be done, did so quickly, efficiently & respectfully & so far the work is holding up perfectly.... Rest assured however that should I have a need to update this review in the future I won't hesitate to do so but for now it stands.

I am satisfied and love the faucets that don't leak.

Less than Ideal Plumbing gets zero stars for me. I had to use this company because of my home warranty and am frustrated I even had to pay for their so called service when they did absolutely nothing. First appt. they never showed so a wasted day off work for me which they should pay me for. No call, nothing. I call them and was told by receptionist there was an emergency. When I asked why no call, I was told oh sorry.
Rescheduled, he showed up an hour late, again no call. Had no clue where my water shutoff was, asked me where I thought the leak was from and told me he couldn't figure it out. He was there 30 min. and left after telling me it would cost $2,500 to fix. Fix what?
My home warranty called me to deny my coverage based on his find. I asked what did he find? And they explained he found the leak, he turned off my water for me and estimated the work at $2,500 and that it wasn't related to anything my home warranty would cover. Interesting.
Horrible company service. DO NOT USE THEM!

first off let me start by saying home warrenties are the worst. this is the second time i have had to use them and a shady technician was sent out to deal with the issue. warrenties are a waste of time and money.

that being said these guys first put us off 7 days due to the laziness and when our appointment finally came they didnt show up until an hour late. now the guy is alll gruff with me and is pretty much throwing a temper tantrum while fixing my sinks pupes which blatently have a hole. he didnt even see it, i had to point out the 1/2"" hole to him. again, just pay the money and discontinue the warrenty. these companies choose the worst of the worst each time, and these guys lived up to this reputation perfectly.

My mom called right before Christmas Week and they made her wait 2 weeks to fix it!!!! She had no hot water for the whole holiday and she is 70 years old. They lied to her too. She even had to clean up after them too and charged her more than the warranty coverage which was $1,000 (no chump change for a water heater). They would get negative stars if possible. Don't go there!!! Staff are rude and unprofessional.

Just like the rest of the reviews, our home warranty company sent these guys out to investigate a leak under the house. Long story short, he told us our entire pipe system would have to be replaced throughout the entire house, said we had electrolysis because we had galvanized iron hooked into copper. Said we would have to replace the entire system and quoted us over $5000. We double checked with a plumber recommended by friends and he actually laughed at the first estimate and fixed the leaky pipe for a few hundred dollars. Tried to call Ideal back and their number had been disconnected. Not surprising. We're thinking of dumping the home warranty company who continue to do business with these people.

DON'T LET YOUR HOME WARRANTY SEND THESE GUYS OUT!
They came out and diagnosed... that yes...we have a propane leak on our water heater, in our garage, attached to our house. 2 months later and numerous unanswered phone calls from Ideal Plumbing...3 phone calls to my Warranty company, 3 calls to the Tech that diagnosed the leak. We are finally getting someone else to come out and hopefully fix the problem!! This is ridiculous and dangerous! We are talking a ""gas leak"" here folks! Should have checked them out BEFORE I paid the $75! I do feel sorry for John the technician...I hope he gets a job with a reputable company. He seemed sincerely sorry that the problem has not been fixed but obviously has NO influence to get the job done!

Oh geez, where should I start. I too was given this company by my home warranty company. One plumber came out to fix my refridgerator and that seemed okay. The BIG problem is when they came to fix my master bath water leak. The first plumber said it was a bad gasket, well that was not the problem, the second plumber actually figured out that the problem was and stated the first plumber should have seen the problem. The second plumber said he could not fix the problem since he did not have the parts on his truck. He said I would need reschedule a second appointment, sounds simple right, well I called over 30 times and no one answered the phones, and twice when they did answer, they stated that my parts were on order. 6 weeks later, I finally found out from my home warranty company why they were not respnnding to me. They stated that they could not repair my problem due to warranty violations. On top of all that, they took my original parts with them!!!

The warranty did send out a competitent plumber.

DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY OR ALLOW YOUR HOME WARRANTY COMPANY TO SEND THEM OUT.!!!!! We had an appointment set for this morning, the appointment was for our rental and was made a week ago. At 9:00 am. a message was left on my recorder that our appointment was canceled and we would have to call the offce to reschedule. I immediately called the office and spoke to ERIN. She informed me that her technician had not shown up for work and she had to cancel the whole day. (This is my problem why?????) I asked her if she had someone else available since this had been scheduled for a week and her response was totally rude and unprofessional. Erin got very snotty and told me I should call my home warranty company and get someone else. That is EXACTLY what I did. Only after this episode did I read the reviews here and it appears that I dodged a bullet. Sounds like we would have had nothiing but problems anyway but based on the office staff and my first impression I am not taking that risk. It also seems strange that the ""owner"" only responded to three of the reviews here, one he got the area wrong, the second was the ONLY good review and the third was about software.........very scary UNPROFESSIONAL COMPANY. I have already called my home warranty company and told them of my experience and told them never to dispatch this company to us again..

Ideal Plumbling was sent out by my home warranty company to address an air conditioning issue. They came out twice and the A/C was not fixed. Four unreturned phone calls to the office and I finally called the home warranty company to assign to another company. Poor customer service and follow through. I've suggested my home warranty company not refer to them again.
