Company Overview

Our team delivers service and repair for both establishments. Our services include leak detection, high-pressure drain cleaning, sewer line video inspections, and detection of gas leaks. Our staff holds certifications for installing tankless water heaters. We handle all types of piping, including pex and Kitec systems.

Moreover remodels and repiping. Ideal Plumbing started back in 1979 by my dad in. We established our office in Shingle Springs, CA in the year 2009. At present, our team consists of six dedicated employees and we are open every day of the week.

I live in with my partner Erin and our sons, Jonathan and Nicolas. We are active with sports and enjoy the outdoors. We enjoy traveling together. Both my sons and I share a passion for fishing and hunting. My wife is a talented cook.

Liars, unprofessional and borderline extortionists. This company was contracted to do some work for a home warranty issue...a water heater replacement. Based on all of the other bad reviews I don't feel the need to go into great detail but dealing with this ""company"" was a horrible experience. They are unspeakably slow with their service; when questioned about a charge they responded ""that's what we are allowed to charge""; they lied numerous times about contacting the warranty company and even my husband. End result, we did the work ourselves for a fraction of the cost and we didn't have to deal with them or pay them the outrageous prices that they were asking. Win for us!

This place sucks got a call at 7:30 am the day of my appointment to tell me sorry we can't come out are plumber got a spider bite and had to go to hospital so we need to reschedule for next week! So they think I can just take as much time off as needed no customer service I strongly do not recommend dose any one know a good reliable plumber

Honestly, they really get ZERO stars but that's not an option. FUCK EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS PLACE! Both of my bathrooms have been unusable for the past 48 hours and someone from this place was supposed to be here yesterday between 8-12. Then they said, 1-4. THEN....NOBODY EVER SHOWED UP, OR EVER CALLED US TO LET US KNOW THE STATUS. My husband called the place over 15 times yesterday and only ONCE did somebody pick up. THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL, LAZY, RUDE, and INCOMPETENT piece of **** service you will ever come across. Not to mention the fact that this business is in Cameron Park, and they were supposed to realistically get someone to my house in Natomas, Sacramento at 4pm when they close at 5...What the hell is that? No logic. It is now almost noon and our situation is supposed to be handled as an emergency, so we should be expedited yet, the lady on the phone is getting pissed off at us for being angry and says, ""The fact that you are scheduled at all is because it's an emergency."" Wow. Ideal plumbing MY ASS.

Do not choose these people as your plumbing option. From what I gather the only reason they have any business is because they get jobs from warranty companies. Anyone who has had experience with them would never call them again. I was scheduled from 1 to 4 and was told they would call 30 minutes before they arrived. They never called and never showed up at all. The following day someone from the office noticed a number of voicemails and called me. They obviously hadn't listened to the voicemails because they were calling to see if everything had worked out. I told them no one even showed up. They told me they would figure out why and call me back. They called back an hour later to tell me they didn't really know what would happen. They then told me they would call me back when they had scheduled a time. They never called me back. I called and was treated very rudely as I was now talking to someone else who was unaware of the situation. They told me I was scheduled again from 12 to 4. I asked if I could be expedited and she told me I was lucky to even be scheduled today. I was lucky she said. I will see if they even show up today. Long story short don't go with this plumbing company.

They sent plumber out to fix a leak in my bathroom on a Friday morning, he cut a hole in the ceiling found the leak in the ABS P-trap. Said he didn't have the parts to fix it and the office would call me later to set up a time to come back. (so a plumbing van isn't stocked with the parts to fix an ABS p-trap leak.....? After numerous attempts to reschedule the home warranty company called them and they finally set something up....we'll see how the repair goes...but I'm not impressed with this company's scheduling, lack of basic repair parts (why couldn't the plumber run to Home Depot and grab a new p-trap?) and leaving me with a hole in my ceiling and a bathroom I can't use over a leaky p-trap....now I have lose income on another days work waiting for them come back to fix something that should have been a easy repair...It would also help if the plumber carried ladders on the truck...lucky for me I had one he could use or the job probably would have ended then and there.

I was referred to Ideal Plumbing from my home warranty company. After contacting Ideal to setup an appointment, I was told the first available was 4 days away on a Thursday from 9-12PM. I explained to the contact that I couldn't use my kitchen and asked for anything sooner, I was told I would be placed on a cancelation list and would receive a call if they could get me in any sooner.

I tried to contact Ideal the next day to inquire about the cancelation list and see if anything had opened up. It's nearly impossible to reach anyone at this company. They might have some voicemail option but it doesn't always pickup and mostly the phone just rings and rings. They have one woman who answers the line once in awhile and she doesn't even try to be accommodating.

To make a long story short, I finally got a hold of Ideal and they advised that a tech phoned in sick and they would not be able to move us up any sooner that the Thur. appointment was the best they could do.

Okay fine, the day finally comes. I phone Ideal to make sure they have the correct contact number to gain access once the tech arrives. No answer, for hours and hours no one is picking up the phone and they have no message option. I get a call around 11:15AM advising that the tech was in an accident and no one would be showing up today. I don't believe the tech had an accident; just this weird lady that I guess handles the scheduling was making an excuse for not being able to keep my appointment after waiting almost a week.

Well I called the warranty company back and they referred another company that did a fabulous job. Preferred Plumbing and Drain came out the same day and fixed the issue no problem! Kudos Preferred Plumbing and Drain, you made Ideal Plumbing seem like amateurs (which they probably are) and I'm very grateful. Stay away from Ideal Plumbing even if they could get the job done, if you have a problem you will likely never be able to reach them again! Sad you can't give 0 stars, this company sucks!

This is the worst company ever. I filed a claim through my home warranty company for some plumbing problems and they sent Ideal out to do the work. The guy that came to my house went to the wrong address and instead of calling me, he just left. He finally came back after I called and pleaded with him, but he was not happy about it. When he did show up a seemed to be half asleep and in a cranky mood, which he eventually apologized for.

The plumber evaluated the problem and said he would submit the claim with the insurance company, but never did. I have waited 3 weeks, called the company multiple times, and nothing. So I still have a leaking faucet and nonfunctional refrigerator water line. I have spoken to the manager and multiple employees, but still no one has called in the claim. So now the home warranty company is so fed up with them they are asking me to call another company and go through this whole thing again. I have never been more unsatisfied with a plumber/company in my life.

Hopefully their actions and my complaints will get them taken off the home warranty list.

Very rude and unprofessional.

Had some work done in my master bath to repair my leaking toilet. The plumber that came out was was fairly nice but seemed to be in a hurry and i could tell that he wanted to just get the job done as fast as possible and not care about the quality of the job performed. When he was done in my bathroom there was a huge puddle of water under the toilet and several cigarette butts where left on my drive way. NOT OK.

Would not recommend this company to ANYONE. How dare they even use the word ""Ideal"" in their business name.

PG&E decided I had a gas leak and I called my home warranty company. The poor guy they sent didn't have the proper equipment and he was too big to fit properly in the crawlspace under the house. The next morning they sent another plumber, who also arrived without the proper equipment to test the air in the walls. He insisted there was no leak, and told the home warranty company the job was completed. The home warranty company sent out plumber number 3 (different company) this afternoon, and he could smell gas as soon as he came in the house.

First guy tried hard, but couldn't do the job. Second guy was anxious to go home. NOT impressed.

They were dispatched to fix a leak in my sink and bathroom, at my Sacramento property. Didn't even look at the bathroom.

Took over two weeks to order parts for the sink. Another two weeks for them to get out there. They finally replaced sink fixture, got paid by my insurance company, but leak continued. Now they say the garbage disposal is the cause of the leak and would not fix because they wanted me to file a second claim with insurance company.

I filed a second claim and got the garbage disposal replaced. Surprise, surprise...there was nothing wrong with the garbage disposal.
