Company Overview

Our team delivers service and repair to residential and properties. We offer leak detection, hydrojetting, sewer camera inspections, and gas leak detection. All our technicians holds certifications for installing tankless water heaters. We handle various piping systems, including PEX and Kitec systems.

We also offer remodels and repipes. Our company was founded back in 1979 by my father in. We opened a branch in in the year 2009. Right now, we have 6 employees and we operate every day of the week.

I live in Rescue, CA with my partner Erin and our sons, Jonathan and Nicolas. As a family, we are active in sports and enjoy the outdoors. Traveling is one of our passions. Both my sons and I are fishing and hunting. My wife is an accomplished chef.

Just like the rest of the reviews, our home warranty company sent these guys out to investigate a leak under the house. Long story short, he told us our entire pipe system would have to be replaced throughout the entire house, said we had electrolysis because we had galvanized iron hooked into copper. Said we would have to replace the entire system and quoted us over $5000. We double checked with a plumber recommended by friends and he actually laughed at the first estimate and fixed the leaky pipe for a few hundred dollars. Tried to call Ideal back and their number had been disconnected. Not surprising. We're thinking of dumping the home warranty company who continue to do business with these people.

DON'T LET YOUR HOME WARRANTY SEND THESE GUYS OUT!
They came out and diagnosed... that yes...we have a propane leak on our water heater, in our garage, attached to our house. 2 months later and numerous unanswered phone calls from Ideal Plumbing...3 phone calls to my Warranty company, 3 calls to the Tech that diagnosed the leak. We are finally getting someone else to come out and hopefully fix the problem!! This is ridiculous and dangerous! We are talking a ""gas leak"" here folks! Should have checked them out BEFORE I paid the $75! I do feel sorry for John the technician...I hope he gets a job with a reputable company. He seemed sincerely sorry that the problem has not been fixed but obviously has NO influence to get the job done!

Oh geez, where should I start. I too was given this company by my home warranty company. One plumber came out to fix my refridgerator and that seemed okay. The BIG problem is when they came to fix my master bath water leak. The first plumber said it was a bad gasket, well that was not the problem, the second plumber actually figured out that the problem was and stated the first plumber should have seen the problem. The second plumber said he could not fix the problem since he did not have the parts on his truck. He said I would need reschedule a second appointment, sounds simple right, well I called over 30 times and no one answered the phones, and twice when they did answer, they stated that my parts were on order. 6 weeks later, I finally found out from my home warranty company why they were not respnnding to me. They stated that they could not repair my problem due to warranty violations. On top of all that, they took my original parts with them!!!

The warranty did send out a competitent plumber.

Do not use Ideal Plumbing!!!!

DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY OR ALLOW YOUR HOME WARRANTY COMPANY TO SEND THEM OUT.!!!!! We had an appointment set for this morning, the appointment was for our rental and was made a week ago. At 9:00 am. a message was left on my recorder that our appointment was canceled and we would have to call the offce to reschedule. I immediately called the office and spoke to ERIN. She informed me that her technician had not shown up for work and she had to cancel the whole day. (This is my problem why?????) I asked her if she had someone else available since this had been scheduled for a week and her response was totally rude and unprofessional. Erin got very snotty and told me I should call my home warranty company and get someone else. That is EXACTLY what I did. Only after this episode did I read the reviews here and it appears that I dodged a bullet. Sounds like we would have had nothiing but problems anyway but based on the office staff and my first impression I am not taking that risk. It also seems strange that the ""owner"" only responded to three of the reviews here, one he got the area wrong, the second was the ONLY good review and the third was about software.........very scary UNPROFESSIONAL COMPANY. I have already called my home warranty company and told them of my experience and told them never to dispatch this company to us again..

Ideal Plumbling was sent out by my home warranty company to address an air conditioning issue. They came out twice and the A/C was not fixed. Four unreturned phone calls to the office and I finally called the home warranty company to assign to another company. Poor customer service and follow through. I've suggested my home warranty company not refer to them again.

If I could give zero stars I would. I agree with the other reviews, the ONLY reason this company has any business is because they are contracted with home warranty companies. Our propane water heater failed and this company was dispatched. The tech wasn't smart enough to figure out that our water heater is propane and not natural gas, thus he put it back together incorrectly, stripping threads and cracking components. Since it was loose, he turned off our gas and left without advising us. He then lied to our home warranty company reporting that the unit had been tampered with causing the home warranty to decline the claim. Talk about CYA. Thanks to the ineptitude and dishonesty of this company, we are now paying the $2k to replace our water heater and have been without hot water for 4 days now.

Not only do they lie, but they are slow to return calls, and have the audacity to suggest to a frustrated customer that they can still shower, it just won't be hot. I wonder how often they choose to shower and shave with cold water, much less bathe their infant!!!

Thoroughly disgusted with this company. Buyer beware.

Liars, unprofessional and borderline extortionists. This company was contracted to do some work for a home warranty issue...a water heater replacement. Based on all of the other bad reviews I don't feel the need to go into great detail but dealing with this ""company"" was a horrible experience. They are unspeakably slow with their service; when questioned about a charge they responded ""that's what we are allowed to charge""; they lied numerous times about contacting the warranty company and even my husband. End result, we did the work ourselves for a fraction of the cost and we didn't have to deal with them or pay them the outrageous prices that they were asking. Win for us!

This place sucks got a call at 7:30 am the day of my appointment to tell me sorry we can't come out are plumber got a spider bite and had to go to hospital so we need to reschedule for next week! So they think I can just take as much time off as needed no customer service I strongly do not recommend dose any one know a good reliable plumber

Honestly, they really get ZERO stars but that's not an option. FUCK EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS PLACE! Both of my bathrooms have been unusable for the past 48 hours and someone from this place was supposed to be here yesterday between 8-12. Then they said, 1-4. THEN....NOBODY EVER SHOWED UP, OR EVER CALLED US TO LET US KNOW THE STATUS. My husband called the place over 15 times yesterday and only ONCE did somebody pick up. THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL, LAZY, RUDE, and INCOMPETENT piece of **** service you will ever come across. Not to mention the fact that this business is in Cameron Park, and they were supposed to realistically get someone to my house in Natomas, Sacramento at 4pm when they close at 5...What the hell is that? No logic. It is now almost noon and our situation is supposed to be handled as an emergency, so we should be expedited yet, the lady on the phone is getting pissed off at us for being angry and says, ""The fact that you are scheduled at all is because it's an emergency."" Wow. Ideal plumbing MY ASS.

Do not choose these people as your plumbing option. From what I gather the only reason they have any business is because they get jobs from warranty companies. Anyone who has had experience with them would never call them again. I was scheduled from 1 to 4 and was told they would call 30 minutes before they arrived. They never called and never showed up at all. The following day someone from the office noticed a number of voicemails and called me. They obviously hadn't listened to the voicemails because they were calling to see if everything had worked out. I told them no one even showed up. They told me they would figure out why and call me back. They called back an hour later to tell me they didn't really know what would happen. They then told me they would call me back when they had scheduled a time. They never called me back. I called and was treated very rudely as I was now talking to someone else who was unaware of the situation. They told me I was scheduled again from 12 to 4. I asked if I could be expedited and she told me I was lucky to even be scheduled today. I was lucky she said. I will see if they even show up today. Long story short don't go with this plumbing company.
