Mimi R.Have you ever been depressed for days after hiring someone to solve your problem? No? Then hire this company to find out what despair and being held by your throat against a wall feels like.
I had the water heater in my home spring an unexpected leak. The leak was mild and not causing damage to the home, but I wanted to get it repaired ASAP for return to functionality, and peace of mind.
The good news is I Need A Plumber sent someone out same day. I spoke to the plumber Ryan, and it sounded like things were going as they should-the new water heater was in, and we had hot water again.
That relief was very short lived.
At the end of the day, I received a call from Ryan saying my toilet had sprung a leak in the process of moving it to install the water heater...and would need to be replaced as well. Cue up an additional $700.00.
His tone did a 180 from our conversations earlier, and he threatened he would go home and leave the toilet leaking, if I didn't pay them the additional amount. I asked him if the toilet had been leaking before he had moved it, and he said, ""NO"".
Now here's the thing-I get that older things can be delicate. I worked on restoring very expensive cars, think Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance - have I ever damaged something in the process of maintenance and blamed it on the client rather than taking care of it? NEVER.
That's not good business.
I feel like I got a hard upsell at the end of the day to meet a sales quota, and I obviously couldn't leave my toilet purportedly leaking, so I had no choice but to bite the bullet. After pleading, he reluctantly agreed to just replace the gasket that had broken, rather than the entire toilet, so I could have a functioning toilet.
That was still an additional $400.00. It was clear that he gave zero care for the stress he was causing. I have never encountered such unprofessional behavior, including not being able to produce a video to show me of the leak, which was supposedly major.
In summary, this entire experience with the plumber has been an expensive, painful, and utterly infuriating.
We have 55 units in our building, and no one else has had this problem with their toilet being broken while repairing the water heater. The other residents smartly used a different company which we arranged for when I was serving the HOA board.
I will not be recommending this company to our residents. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this plumbing service to anyone. Save yourself the trouble, headache, and money by looking elsewhere for a caring and honest plumber.
I had a leak in the water pipe from the street to my house. Besides turning the water off at the street, I didn't know where to begin. Tim explained before they could help I needed to find out exactly where the leak was. He gave me a couple of Leak Detection Companies to call. Once they found the leak Tim and his crew came out as quickly as they could and fixed what I found out to be a 'substantial' leak!
It was a very hot day to be jackhammering my driveway and digging down to find the pipe but the crew took care of me!
They explained what exactly they was going on, how they needed to fix it, quick and friendly and left the area as clean as they could!
There's only so many days you can 'pretend you are camping, with no running water'
Thank you for giving me water again!
I'm doing a happy dance!
Wuyang C.Good service and cost-effective! We had a faucet leaking issue, and the agent solved it quickly with a good price!
New what they were doing and fixed the water leak issue caused by a lousy contractor that didn't bother to put in a p-trap and left a cracked pipe in the shower drain. Now, No more sewer fumes and no more leak. Yeah!
John C.My back outdoor hose faucet would not run water this season. So I waited a couple months to figure out who to call to fix this issue. I used the yelp tool to figure out what plumbers to contact locally and after waiting 2 months to figure out who to call-I called I Need a Plumber Now. I didn't really need a plumber now, but I want to fix my back grass so I need the hose faucet to be fixed. I Need a Plumber Now was one of the few places that had a potential estimate of how much it would cost to fix my issue by phone and were able to come the same day. They do offer a free estimate, but obviously it's hard to tell until you really see the issue in person.
I was initially quoted around $400 flat rate for the repair, but when the two workers came they realized the issue wasn't as easy as replacing the outdoor faucet stem. So they gave me a little bit of a higher price and had to fix the issue through the drywall inside instead of replacing the stem outside. After cutting through the dry wall they noticed that issue also included some improper pipe fitting. So they replaced that too. The project went from easy to a couple hours so it wasn't a quick fix by any means. They showed me everything and made sure that no water leaked throughout the repair. Unfortunately, the project ended up higher than I would have liked, but I didn't feel cheated because all of the numbers were presented to me straight up with no pressure along with them clearly explaining everything that was being repaired. I would contact them again for a repair if needed in the future.
I looked at Yelp for a plumber to fix our leaking kitchen drain and found I Need A Plumber. They actually answer the phone. Within 24 hours Thomas came over and diagnosed our problem in 45 seconds. It was simple. It's a relief to finally find a great plumber.
Joe S.I recently tried to clear a clogged sink and ended up creating a mess for myself. I contacted I Need A Plumber Now along with several others on Yelp. I Need A Plumber Now responded promptly and worked with me to set up an appointment for the next day. Although there was a small delay, they communicated their arrival time well.
I was concerned about the cost. I've heard more than one story about plumbers charging too much. In my case, I Need A Plumber Now charged me a fair price, completed the work promptly, left everything clean and were very pleasant to work with.
I've found my ""go to"" plumber for the next time I screw something up!
I'm writing this review on behalf of my 81 year old mother who called me in a panic today. She did her laundry and her shower, tub and toilet all filled up. I looked at reviews and suggested she call I need a plumber now because of the good reviews And she was really taken advantage of by a previous company.
Well, they were amazing. Came right over. Snaked everything out and even cleaned out the tub, shower and bathroom floor for her because it's very hard for her to do those things.
They gave her a quote at the beginning of between 500-700 dollars. Came in right in the middle. very very reasonable and incredible customer service.
She'll be recommending the company to all her neighbors but I wanted to also get something on line.
Thank you""I need a plumber now"". !
Nina C.Contacted this company for a toilet repair, but ended up replacing it due to the age. Very satisfied with the toilet replacement. Ryan was very professional, pleasant, and on time. I was given a time frame, and he called prior to arrival. He was informative with the process and explained all the pertinent parts. Highly recommend & will do business with them again!
We needed to replace our kitchen faucet, was leaking badly. I called I need a Plumber now, and Ryan came out within a half-hour! He installed our new faucet, checked for leaks and other issues. He and his partner did a great job, and at a reasonable cost. I certainly would recommend this Business, and we sure will be using them again! Thanks, Ryan!!
