Hydro Physics
Company Overview
Inspection of the waste water system. Plumbers benefit from our services.
We are part of a franchise network headquartered in Colorado. The founder in Colorado developed this philosophy of ""being transparent about what lies beneath"" 15 years prior to our inception.
Rick Delamare launched his pipe inspection franchise when the industry was largely unknown. One client at a time, the business expanded to thousands.
I am the spouse of Rick. I manage the administrative aspects of the business including scheduling, ordering, and clerical tasks.

Always a great company to rely on, been using them for sewer inspections for a number of year now I use them to buy my sewer cameras and have them services, Rick and his wife are the best in this industry. Thanks for being there.

I found them to be professional, efficient and very reasonably priced compared to the five quotes I got. We where buying a new home and got our sewer inspected. We got the report and video the same day.

This is my 3rd time using Hydro Physics in the last 10 years for both my rental property and my own home. Rick Delamare is friendly, professional, arrives on time and charges a flat rate. I would advise anyone who has received an estimate for a sewer repair to get a second option from Rick and his crew.

Company is as good as it gets! I've confidently referred them to all of my clients that need a sewer scope and my clients are thrilled! The best is they have no skin in the game (doesn't repair) so they give a very unbiased report. Also, if there is something wrong they find it and mark it so you don't have to pay the person repairing it to find it again. You get a video and written report. I can't say enough good things about them!!!

We recently bought a house and had Rick inspect the sewer prior to making an offer.
He ran the scope through the system and found a big issue that's actually on the city's side of things. He gave us all the info we needed to get Seattle to acknowledge the problem (should it ever cause a backup in the future), getting us off the hook for those (potential) repairs, to the tune of $20k or so. Worth every penny for his time!
As others have said, he is knowledgeable, approachable, timely, clean and friendly. Couldn't ask for more.

First-time clueless home-buyer here!! 150% satisfied. I wasn't made to feel dumb, though I asked a thousand questions. He was on time (early even!) performed a sewer inspection efficiently and even when he couldn't get through the pipe, he worked very hard to navigate the block, and eventually made it all the way out to the the main sewer line. Afterwards, he walked me through exactly what he saw, used very effective metaphors to be sure I understood what he was telling me and was incredibly professional and pleasant. Reasonable recommendations, asked me to call him anytime with questions/clarifications and I was VERY comfortable with him all around. Will definitely recommend this company to everyone, especially if you are like I was, scrolling aimlessly through YELP praying you don't make a mistake. No mistakes here. And they provide a video. Awesome!

We had nightmare plumbing issues at a place we were staying (between the house and the main sewer line) which left a deep impression on us for getting any future home thoroughly inspected before purchase. We would never want to go through that again.
Using Hydro Physics was amazingly simple and efficient. Scheduling was quick on a Sunday and I was able to get the inspection done on Monday. Rick was friendly, humorous and his expertise helped me feel highly knowledgable about the property being inspected after we were done. Everything was clearly explained along with a video we could view afterwards. I also know if anything came up, I could take the documentation to a plumber so they could accurately provide an estimate for the work to fix it.
Loved the bag of popcorn at the end :)
I would highly recommend them to anyone and if I have the opportunity to call upon their services again, I would in a heartbeat.

A patch of our front lawn had been looking different than the rest so I thought maybe the sewer line was leaking. I called Hydro Physics to ask if that sounded plausible. They looked up my address on a map of sewer lines and described the location relative to my house. That's not where the weird lawn patch is, so they saved me the cost of an unnecessary sewer inspection. Since they ruled out their service for this issue, I would trust their recommendations in the future if they do say something needs to be done. I was quite impressed with their customer service today, and they did a great job inspecting our sewer lines several years ago when we bought our house. Now if only I can figure out what's really causing the lawn spot...

It's amazing and very sad how dishonest many plumbers are. I was told by two different plumbers a couple of years ago that my sewer pipes a were so damaged that they needed either replacement or lining right away, both jobs quoted somewhere in the $10,000 range.
I was given Ricks number by one of my patients who has worked in the plumbing business before. Rick promptly came out, did what he was supposed to and told me that while the pipes would have to be eventually replaced, they weren't nearly as damaged as I was lead to believe. He gave me several tips on how to preserve the pipes. And his prices were very reasonable.
So, recently my sewer pipe developed a clog and the plumber that came out told me 'We found two major breaks and also found the bottom portion of the pipe is almost completely gone the full 47 feet.' I asked to see the video of these breaks and the missing bottom of the pipe and I've gotten no response back, just a huge bill for the hydrojetting. They did send me an estimate for almost $10,000 to put in a liner for 47 feet of the pipe, but no mention at all of letting me see the proof that the pipes were as damaged as they said.
So, anyway, I know the pipes need to be replaced eventually because of what Rick told me. I talked to my brother who can operate an exavator and even if I pay him $100/hr and pay for the equipment rental and materials , the whole job is going to cost me less than $2000.
Now I just need Rick again to map out the exact location of the pipe for me!

Hydrophysics is the best! I first worked with Mike (the owner Rick's brother) in 2010 at the recommendation of our realtor. We were purchasing an older home, and my estimate is that Mike saved us around $40-50k with all of the sewer issues that he discovered prior to closing. We made the sale contingent on the seller repairing the whole sewer--from the house to the main sewer line under the street. A huge, expensive job, and we're appreciative that he was so thorough.
Rick and Marty just left my house after I discovered a sewage odor in my basement--and a sink hole over our sewer line. They were prompt, friendly, informative, tidy, and patient (willing to answer all of my questions without making me feel like an annoying idiot). They did a really thorough assessment of my sewer line, scoping it out to the street. They also assessed what could be causing the sink hole, speculated on what could be causing the problem, and recommended solutions.
And when I asked Rick for plumbing referrals, he gave me a few names. Then he told me to call back anytime if I had questions about specific concerns, and he'd be glad to recommend sewer or plumbing companies based on our needs.
I would not hesitate to use Hydrophysics.
Bonus: free bag of microwave popcorn! Now I have something to munch on while I watch my uploaded sewer scope video!
