We had an amazing experience with Angelo and Tina at Hydraulic Mechanical. If you find them, you can stop you searching, bc you will come back and hire them.

Gas work is highly regulated and complicated in NYC. You need a good licensed plumber that can take good care of you as only they have the insight to the entire process with DOB and ConEdison. Here's what's good about them.

1.The plumber Angelo is a truly professional and knows way more than other plumbers. He not only knows the gas systems of different kinds and regulations quite well. He did a great job and also corrected the previous mistakes the other plumbers made.

2.Angelo was very honest, transparent, and trustworthy. In general, gas work isn't cheap. However, they gave us a very reasonable price and didn't charge for more than you need. (To the contrary, when we were searching, some OTHER plumber tried to rip us off for more than $20,000 by threatening us with unrelated regulations). Angelo was also generous enough to teach us simple fixes to address the minor issues that don't need a licensed plumber.

3.Angelo and his fellow workers are very passionate about their work and they loved their job. They went extra miles to check other issues and gave you tons of advice. They don't charge for anything that is outside you gas work scope.

4.Tina plays an important role in dealing with DOB and ConEdison. DOB and ConEdison often try to give you a hard time and being very inefficient. In a case of an emergency, this is a big deal. But Tina will fight along with you as a team. And together we had successfully overturned ConEdison's challenge and had the gas turned on in just a few days. Also, Angelo also plays an important role in dealing with them as well.

5.Both Tina and Angelo were highly responsive and available. After the gas work was done, there were about 3 weeks time to finish the inspection, paper work, etc to have DOB and ConEdison to close their cases. And they were always there for you for the followups.

We think Angelo and Tina are great and we are happy to hire them again for the future gas work!

What a pleasure working with Angelo and Tina! I needed work done last year, and called Angelo to inquire. He came right away after his regular job and advise me what needs to be done and gave me options. He was honest and price quoted was very reasonable. This year, I received a letter from DOB and needed the LL152 gas piping inspection done. Of course, I called Angelo! He got the job done within a few days, and Tina, his secretary and what a lovely lady, got me the forms and I submitted online. It was 1-2-3! Highly recommend Hydraulics Mechanical !

I highly recommend Angelo to perform any piping or plumbing work for your home without hesitation. Angelo is above and beyond the best in class compared to any master plumber. He is a true professional and walks you through the whole process of what needs to be done and is meticulous in dealing with the DOB. He is very patient and always is very responsive to your service needs. Tina, who is part of Angelo's team, files all of the necessary paperwork and processing with the DOB behind the scenes which is very important to get all of the approvals to complete the job.

Absolutely professionals!! I couldn't be happier with Angelo and Tina's work on my gas pipe issue. Con Ed had turned off my gas because they wanted me to relocate both my meters to outside the house. Tina pulled the permit the next day and then Angelo came the day after and finished the work that same day! The rest was just paperwork and back and forth with Con Ed which Hydraulics took care of every step of the way. These guys are knowledgeable, efficient, and such amazing work ethic. At one point both of them were under the weather but still managed to get the work done asap. True professionals! You can't go wrong with them!!

I highly recommend Hydraulics Mechanical. I had gas leaks in my house so I called them on Monday, Evangelos came the same day to give me an estimate. On Tuesday Evangelos and his team were here at 8am and left at 4 pm. They finished the work in one day, when other plumbers said it would take a few days or a couple of weeks. On Wednesday National grid put the gas back on. Evangelos was fast, efficient, professional, honest and hard working. Thank you. I will call them again.
