This was the best experience I could have ever hoped for with a plumber. I'm a new home owner, and a teacher, and there are just things always going on my mind, so when I heard a little drip-drip sound in the basement on a Saturday, I didn't know what to do. I called a friend and they recommended Hyde Park Plumbing.

I can't say enough about how kind, honest, helpful, and flexible the service they provided was. Jeff came out on a Saturday, even though he said he was really only going to do emergencies. I explained what was going on and he came out to take a look. He quickly diagnosed the problem and provided a temporary weekend fix. He knew what was wrong, gave us a quote to fix the problem that was fair and reasonable, and then also gave us a quote (without any pressure) to fix what was likely the ultimate, much bigger project, root of lots plumbing problems (ollllllld pipes in the ground).

We scheduled a Wednesday morning appointment to fix the problem with the pipes, acknowledging that we weren't quite ready for the big fix just yet. I, being a teacher, promptly forgot about the appointment because I had too many things on my mind with the start of school. Jeff and Brook (the owners) were super understanding and just came back the next day without hesitation or any grief about me missing the first appointment.

The team, with the best plumbing truck I've ever seen, fixed the problem super quickly, and was definitely the most trusted team of plumbers I've been around. There's been a lot of plumbers and plumbing done on these older east end houses, and there's a lot of opportunities to over bid, or over do requested work. Hyde Park Plumbing were honest, fair, reasonable, flexible, and understanding. I trust their work, and I can't recommend them enough!

So let's start this out by saying that you rarely ever call a plumber for a positive reason. Yup, we had an issue that we knew we had to address. An old home in the North End we had just purchased and the good ole pipes out to the sewer line were failing. We got a few quotes and although Jeff's quote was not the cheapest, we selected him. He was very professional and explained step by step what we needed to know and guarantees their work for as long as you own the home (other quotes had given 10 year warranty). Since we intend to hang onto the house, this was another factor in selecting them. He and his crew were the hardest working guys in show biz -- showed up when they said they would first thing in the morning and worked well past dark to make sure that we were back in business by end of day for the project. They hit some difficulty with our particular project but pushed through doggedly to make sure we had water again! We have found our locally owned neighborhood plumber for life now. We have been gleefully flushing with confidence!

I highly, highly recommend Hyde Park Plumbing. I won't ever use anyone else. I called them on a whim after having poor service from another business. Very high quality work that the owner personally guarantees. He redid most of the plumbing on our 80 year old home and it was reasonably priced and as pleasant as major home improvements can be. Nice, honest company that I tell EVERYONE about.

Jeff is a conscientious and meticulous plumber whose work demonstrates the pride he takes in the service he provides his customers. He does a terrific job diagnosing residential plumbing problems, explains the work that needs to be done and helps prioritize issues to be addressed now, and what can wait for later. He has also helped several of my friends negotiate purchase prices for homes they have bought by providing a home plumbing inspection. Best of all, Jeff's a great guy who makes it fun to have a reason to call the plumber.
