Called to get a dishwasher, garbage disposal and faucets hooked up. Wanted to save time, though I loved the contractor I was working with. Hutchinson guy turned up and delivered a very dramatic condemnation of my contractor: his work was terrible, a disaster, OMG, he'd never seen such awful work, it would take hours to fix, look at the pictures he sent me: it would cost $1800. This despite the fact I'd looked at the job, trusted my contractor who'd worked with me for years (which I repeatedly said)-- and researched costs for the work. Women aren't idiots, Hutchinson, and a hard sell like this means you think they are. I said no-- and I'll never call you again. I loved Barthes-- won't work with you again.

10 days with no air conditioning, 90 degree days. That's what we've received from Hutchinson.

Do not use this service. They charge repeated for thermostats that they install that do not work. Do not let them talk you into a wireless Honeywell thermostat. After 3 visits and 5 months later it still does not work and they charge for each visit. Customer service has a lot to be desired. A quality company would stand up for they work and drive for happy customers.

Terrible experience with this company. My disabled neighbor called Hutchinson for service on a heater they installed just 2 yrs ago. My neighbor has had numerous problems with the unit. In fact, 2 weeks ago, he called for service and the technician walked in, flipped a switch, received payment and left without troubleshooting the problem. This past Thursday he called Hutchinson because he had no heat again. The technician looked at the unit on Thursday and stated he had to wait for pricing to fix it on Friday leaving my neighbor without heat all evening. The temp in the house friday morning was 47 degrees They never called or showed up Friday morning. He called them at 12:30pm and they quoted him a price of more than $850. $550 Parts, $150 expedite fee(really!!!) , etc, etc. I checked out the price of the parts online ($100). I called a reliable, trustworthy, HVAC technician I use. He showed up prompty, fixed the heater and stated he couldn't believe they would leave my neighbor without heat over night. The cost for his service and parts was $200.

We are very disappointed. If you have a problem , you cannot talk to a local person, you are directed to a nasty answering service who will not forward your call, even in a emergency. I would recommend not signing up for a monthly program. It is a ripoff. They also charge high fees for small problems

Our A/C went out & we called Hutchinson Plumbing who we had worked with before. The $99 service call & 15 minutes ($50) of examination found an electrical short ($80)& part in need of replacement ($220). The unit is getting old so we listened when he said the repair may cost $300-$600 & we should consider replacement with a new more efficient system. $8-10k. Ouch! We had a second plumber out - he replaced the broken part ($150) period. No electrical add ons& service call was included in repair. He said we have a few more years of life in the present A/C. Moral of the story - get a second option. It can save you plenty.
