Andrea M.If I could give them less than 1 star I would. They have been at our house at least 30 times trying to fix issues for the ductless air conditioning that they installed. Ultimately telling my husband that the pumps they use are not good. Why would you sell us a product that has parts that don't work. So we have a three $12,000 units that are paper weights at this point. What a waste of time and money.
Called Hutchinson for the routine maintenance deal on my AC unit. Which by the way is only 9 years old. It worked fine before they came out. When the tech got there he said your compressor is shot, to replace it would cost 2700.00 or I can set you up to sales come out and give you a new unit. I said how is that possible it was working fine since I turned it on in May. When asked what was wrong the man could not give me an answer. Called to file a complaint the manager called back and wanted to send another tech out. So he did and the other tech came out and said your low on coolant, charged 152.oo to put coolant in. So now air is still not working correctly , I call and the girl on phone says ""did you read your receipt, You have a leak!"" I said why would someone put coolant in if they knew there was a leak, the response I DONT KNOW. The receipts states ""If the coolant gets low suggest to look for a leak. So know that I am getting upset, they obviously have no idea what they are doing. They lie and rip people off and break units to get people to pay for all there guesses on whats wrong. I believe the tech did something to the unit and don't want to report that he did. The unit is only 9 years old and worked fine until Hutchinson touched it. The lady states well you can file another complaint in a very ignorant tone of voice and she hangs up the phone on me.. Have yet to hear back from manager. Very unprofessional group who has no idea what they are doing. The worst decision for heating and cooling. would never use this business. Lies, Lies and more lies to make money.
Hutchinson was my worst decision ever. They did not do promised ""a/c tune up"", and only wanted to sell refrigerant at 3,000 % markup. My a/c worked worse when they left than before they came.

wow!!! i need 5 more stars for my review. i called hutchinson for commercial emergency service on my restaurant air conditioner. the unit needed to be replaced. i explained that i needed it asap. asap it was. i spoke with three people during the short painless process. they were professional, courteous and amazingly organized and efficient. this is a great company.
I dropped about $1200 on repairs to my A/C unit, and it is still sitting there not working. I feel hosed and I will not use Hutchinson's again. One girl on the phone was rude, others have been ok. All that was done efficiently was the overblown estimate on a new A/C unit. I got lower quotes from others. Hutchinson's is so successful it can afford to lose clients. I feel duped.
My tenant called smelling gas and South Jersey Gas red tagged my gas furnace and hot water heater for multiple leaks on March 4. I told the tenant to call Hutchinson who had serviced the house in 2011. Hutchinson came out promptly, reviewed the situation and told the tenant and also called me that there were not any leaks detected but was the gas dryer had malfunctioned and to get rid of it. Hutchinsons technician then turned the gas back on. New tenants moved in May 1 and tenants were complaining of an odor in which I asked them to call South Jersey Gas to check it out on Friday, May 18, 2018. South Jersey Gas again red tagged my gas service (early Friday morning) for multiple leaks and locked the turn off valve. South Jersey Gas told me that a licensed plumber would know how to repair and blamed me for not having a licensed plumber come out in March. He indicated it was a very dangerous situation especially because the gas hot water could ignited the gas leaks and carbon monoxide leaks. I asked the tenant to call Hutchinson and I spoke several times with Hutchinson for the emergency repair and noted in detail the list of items (couplings and shut off valves, new hot water heater and venting)that South Jersey Gas indicated. Hutchinson came out as promised that day but after an hour mostly sitting in the truck per the tenant said they needed an estimator and would do as much as they could and left. The tenant had no hot water, gas for cooking or heat (was only 56 degrees) with 2 small children and an elderly grandmother. The tenant called me at 7:30 pm ( 3 hours after technician left who implied he went to pick up parts) with nothing done by Hutchinsons and now realizing that they would not be back to Monday morning. VERY UPSET with Hutchinson, subjecting everyone to a very dangerous situation, multiple gas leaks that could cause explosion, etc for over 2 months. Then based on phone conversations with Hutchinson that they would repair on Friday May 18 based on emergency needed to get tenants gas restored asap.....Hutchinson did not do anything. If Hutchinson told me that they were not fixing the leaking couplings, shutoff valves and hot water heater and vent as detailed with them when setting appointment then I would have found another HVAC repair. I spoke to FOCUS at 7:30 PM Friday, May 18(another HVAC repair) and after explaining what happened they sent a technician at 8 am the next morning and repaired and replaced the hot water heater Sunday as well (see FOCUS review).
Just to let you know called a different Plummer quoted me 185.00 plus tax no show up fee asked him to do the the job did it no problems with the siding so I feel that in good faith I should have my 79.00 refunded in good faith .
Spent close to $14,000 for a heater/ac/water heater. I had a UV light in my old heater only a year old. Asked if it could be moved to the new unit. Installer busted bulb....Hutchinson said they'd replace bulb at no charge! It's rounding 2-months and a lot of promises but no bulb!
I heard so many good things about the Hutchinson company, but their promises just turn into lip service. It seems once they get your money all bets are off!
Thank god I still have my PSE&G service contract. if there was an actual heater/ac issue I wonder how many months they'd need to fix your heater... especially if they had to order a part???
We have a Hutchinson HVAC unit that was installed summer of 2017. We gutted and rehabbed our beach home and it was ready for occupancy on Labor Day week-end. The air conditioning did not work! A brand new unit! When the service person finally came over to check out the problem, we were told the unit needed more coolant. A brand new unit needing more coolant? Doesn't sound right to me, but they insisted it was not a ""lemon"". We've used the AC a few times since then and it has worked. Fast forward to this week-end, Memorial Day 2018. The AC again is NOT working! We call and they cannot get here until WEDNESDAY! ! Hutchinson advertises 24/7 service, but they cannot get here for FIVE DAYS!! I would not use Hutchinson. So disappointing!!!
DO NOT go for the $55.55 promotion. Tech Kyran came to my home on a Friday & spent less than 5 minutes on the unit and sat in his van for 20. They don't even bother to change the filter for you. It's a paid consultation. He didn't have the courtesy, in that case, to say I needed to change my filter. Tech has me sign a piece of paper with could do, must do, should do recommendations. Then emails me a more detailed report on what he did... which was nothing but sit in his van during and after the visit. Why couldn't the tech have a conversation with me about the detailed report if that is what I paid for? Answer: Because he didn't do anything. He said my air conditioner was ok had plenty of fluid, but paper states No guaranty that my air conditioner will be ok for summer. What is that? Of course, called in for an appointment so I can have another person from the company come in to discuss replacing my units. I cancelled today!
