Hurst Plumbing is the worst! They were hired through my 2-10 Home Warranty to fix water heating issues. All they did was raise the thermostat for the water heater and wrote it on the receipt. Soon after a water hammer issue with the bathtub pipes happened. I called 2-10 warranty and again the got Hurst to come out to assess. The second time they came out, it was a different plumber. He was just rude, didn't greet and threw in his own opinions and didn't listen to what I was trying to tell him that the previous plumber had written on the receipt. Tom the plumber told me he would call me back with assessments and didn't do so. He took the $100 deductible which was a waste by the way. It not only wasted my day from work but unresolved issues. I would never hire both 2-10 home warranty and I highly advise not to hire Hurst for plumbing issues. They just do a half fast job and collect easy money. A bunch of scam artists.

What a scam! My home warranty company made me use Hurst, they came in on time, but determined the work is not covered by my home warranty and I'd have to pay for it myself, so I paid, and they fixed the problem.

Several days later, I called my home warranty company to see why they don't cover the work (based on my contract, they should) and I was told that they have already paid Hurst plumbing for the work and I have to call them and request my money back because they got paid twice and they were not supposed to charge me.

So 20+ phone calls to Hurst and no response, I filed a complaint w/ my home warranty company. The home warranty company called them, and Hurst told them that I did not pay them for the entire work. So I had to send all my receipts to the home warranty.

So finally they said they will refund my money. When I called to inform them I haven't gotten a check, they gave me a date the check was sent, then a week later they told me they didn't send it because they have to wait several weeks for my payment to clear. Then they said they sent the check. Then they told me the home warranty gave them the wrong address, and that's why I didn't get the check (they had the correct address because their technician showed up, and had the correct one on his invoice slip),....

Fast forward, 100s of phone calls, hours of standing on hold, I finally got a refund several months later...

Icing on the cake: Their work didn't last for more than 2 weeks. I had to get another day off and to call a real plumber to fix the work.

Hurst Plumbing was the company sent out by my home warranty company when I had a leak. The gentleman was on time, very informative and professional. He told me what needed to be done to fix the leak. Shortly after a woman from his office called to schedule the repair. The same gentleman came back to fix our leak. He was timely, polite and professional. He made a great effort to complete the job without having to break through our shower tiles. He successfully fixed the leak, and saved us money, since we didn't have to hire someone to replace our tiles.

I am very satisfied with Hurst Plumbing. I would absolutely hire them for other plumbing issues. I can't speak for the price, because the repair was covered by the home warranty, but the service was outstanding!
