Hurlburt Heating & Plumbing charged over $6,000 for a new furnace installation. On 2.16.24 Hurlburt sent a 19 year old inexperienced installer who did not get the fitting right resulting in a 5 day gas leak in my home. FIVE days after gas had been leaking into my home I finally received an email that they had pulled a permit and I could schedule an inspection. The City of Hudson inspector confirmed that the gas leak caused by Hurlburt could have been explosive and he also found wiring that was not placed in the correct box. The night my neighbors discovered the gas leak because they could smell it outside my home I called Hurlburt immediately. They had no one to send. False 24/7 service. After 12 hours without heat, Hurlburt sent a tech to fix the fitting. I documented everything and sent it to Hurlburt so they could improve their safety training and services. However, they do not want to discuss my concerns. Jodi actually hung up on me yesterday after I called to inquire if they are licensed in WI. After everything they put me and my four children through, I expected an empathetic response and at least a partial refund of their installation fees. But they are hiding behind their 100% happy customer guarantee. Greg, the owner, told me I have two options ""be happy that it's fixed and working now or they'll come take it back for a full refund and I can start over with a different company."" I learned so much about the lack of transparency in the HVAC world. Not sure why any company would choose to profit over ensuring the safety and well-being of their customers. I would not recommend Hurlburt Heating & Plumbing.
