Friendly service till you get the bill. $358 to replace a gfci outlet in our kitchen. First contact tells you how they bill but after the job is done you realize that is not what you were told. Complain all you want but you will pay the new price. Do not call these people. I wish I had read the reviews before saying yes to their service.

I probably should have read the reviews before scheduling with this company. I needed my dryer vent cleaned, so on 6/22/21, I got on their site to book my appointment. Seemed easy enough, and I was thrilled that the next available appointment was the next day. I was only given morning or afternoon, no specific time. I took the day off, and when I didn't hear anything around 1pm, I called. Michelle in the office put me on hold only to come back on the line to tell me the automatic scheduling system did not schedule me. She truly showed no care or concern, almost like this happens frequently. She told me they're very busy & take emergency calls first. I asked when I could get rescheduled and she was very wishy-washy. Friday was open, but then she said she could no guarantee the appointment because an emergency might come up. Next week might work better for them, but then she went back to Friday. Time? Oh, she could not commit to that either. Ok, fine, put me on the schedule for Friday. The best was, I was leaving my house Wednesday around 4pm and there was one of their trucks around the block from me. Whatever. Well, today is Friday & took the day off because I was given no specific time or even time window. So, here I am drinking my coffee, and I get a text ""Good morning Katy, this is Maxie with Hunt's Services. We have you scheduled for a dryer vent cleaning. Our technician is unavailable today and we are having to reschedule all of his appointments for today to next week. We can offer you a $35 rescheduling credit due to having to move your appointment. Please give us a call at 253-533-7500 or text here, Thank you!"". Really? I called & got Michelle again. First she said my appointment was cancelled due to emergency calls. I pointed out that the text said the tech was unavailable & all his appointments were cancelled. Again, wishy-washy, and slightly apologetic now. Second day off work, still dirty dryer vent. Needless to say, I'm on the schedule for another company on Monday, and sadly, another day off work. Thank you Hunt's Services for an unexpected 4 day weekend. At least the weather will be nice & there's beer in the fridge.

I originally gave them a 4 star (and keptthe review below as the service was decent for installing a new heating system) and then we used their plumbing services and WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN! We had an emergency and called. They said they'd be there in 4 hrs but first asked if we wanted to join their ""plan"" and we did. Once they took our money, service totally changed. First, instead of 4 hrs it took all day. They fixed the toilet flooding but then when we got the bill it was over 900 dollars. They charged 300+ dollars just to take the toilet off. Also, with the ""plan"" we were suppose to get a discount but then was told it didn't apply for the first visit. The ""plan"" also called for a camera to inspect which they recommended but ""it didn't apply"" for this visit. Bottom line: I'm a senior military officer and I am continuing to tell all military folks to stay away from them. I asked to speak to a manager and the lady REFUSED but said they will refund some of the money and it could take up to a month. It's been over three months and I waited long enough. Do NOT do business with these folks. Call a few places (like I did afterwards) and you'll find out the price they charged me was about 450.00 over industry average. I'm glad I just convinced another household not to use them ..... no matter what, even if the manager calls now, I will never, ever recommend them for anything.
They will absolutely rip you off!! After research, we requested quotes from multiple companies for replacement of a new heating system. Our families philosophy is to use the ""whole company"" concept and not just price. They weren't the cheapest but also not the most expensive. A rep came out, gave us a decent quote and after a great discussion with the rep and company had a new heater installed.
Bad: Keeping your word for when you say you're coming out. If you can't keep the promised time, call. It shouldn't come down to talking to three individuals and calling multiple tWe had two instances where we waited all day with no one showing up after installing and there were issues.
Good: Their service folks are top notch. After some problems after installing the new heater, we can't complain on who they send out.
Bottom line: We are happy after a few hick ups. Only recommendation is for the scheduling folks stay in touch with customers if any delay is expected but on a plus side, your schedulers are very friendly and patient. You advertise ""2 hour service"" and can be a little in the ""not true"" side. We will keep using you for sure because of the professionalism. Mistakes happen and it's easy to throw stones. Cheers

We called Hunt's Services after another plumber had left us high and dry. Hunt's came and installed our shower fixtures.. We did think their charges were a little on the steep side but they did a good job on the installation.

Terrible experience. Cost $550 to replace a cartridge- 1 hour of work. Was originally going to do more expansive work that would cost $1200 and then we asked if there was another solution simply for a leaky shower faucet.- that is when the cartridge was replaced. Completed the work, apprentice on the way out stated ""It must be nice to be rich""- something along those lines and left. A few weeks later it starts leaking again (this was in the fall). Husband did the same work, bought another cartridge that cost $50 and now its working well.

In December we had a slow drain issue with a shower and a toilet. Hunt's came in to check on it and used a scope which cost $300 not including tax. Their equipment had a crack and the technician couldn't really tell what the issue was. He said that the line seemed clear and went on his way.
It's been months and the issue came up again. We called Hunt's and they sent two techs. The guys were very casual and weren't that professional. I might say down right rude except when my husband came home, they suddenly turned nice and polite.
To diagnose the main tech flushed the toilet and said it looks like everything is fine. I told them no we have a draining issue. So I went upstairs and turned on the showers and flushed toilets. Sure enough, the drain issue appeared. The tech said, ""I don't know what to tell you. It looks fine. But If you want us to scope it's $300 is that what you want?"" I said, ""We have a drain issue. We need it fixed and if you need to scope it then yes.""
He got the scope and was pretty curt as if he really didn't want to be there. He said there was a big break in the sewer line and it was under the house. He showed me the screen and I couldn't even really tell where the break was it was so blurry. He said they would have to dig the foundation but had a much more expensive solution that will not require digging. He said they would shoot epoxy through the line at the cost of $8600. We agreed to the price as we were in an emergency situation.
They came in the following day and dug out the area right outside of the house. The main tech said HE BROKE the line because it was made of electrical piping. I had to call my builder to confirm that its and older house and they might have broken and old pipe that attached to the septic.
The tech said to repair, they will have to dig through the house after all. He was very smug saying- I hope it's not under the kitchen cabinets."" He said he didn't know exactly where the break was and that it was going to cost $1,000 to $1200 more than the original quote. I asked I thought digging was cheaper than the epoxy. He said, ""I really don't want to be jackhammering. That's not what we're here to do.""
I called another plumbing company and this time a very professional gentleman said he would scope the line for $39 ($43.00 with tax) and will give me the videos so I can make a decision after. His equipment was so clear that I was able to see where the line break was. He showed me exactly what needed to be done to repair the issue was super professional and courteous. He came at a slightly lower price and I needed to make a decision which company to go with.
I called Hunts and told them that when we gave them our credit card, we had agreed to the epoxy solution but haven't gotten any updated scope of work after their tech broke the existing pipe. They directed me to the plumbing manager, Aaron, who was really nice. The issue was that they charged our credit card $4300.00 and couldn't ensure how quickly they could refund it if I cancelled the job.
I decided to follow through with Hunt's mainly because Aaron said he could match the price of the other company and that he was going to guarantee that the job would be done right. That was Friday March 19.
The job was to start today March 20. Aaron leaves me a message at 7 am saying that he had bad news. His crew called in sick and can't do the job. He'd try to get it done tomorrow. All the while we have been without proper plumbing and have been leaving the house to a family member's to use the bathroom shower etc. We've been washing dishes with a hose and laundry has piled up.
I'm leaving this negative review as a PSA to make people aware that Hunt's may not be the best option out there. They have proven to be overpriced, with older equipment, lackadaisical crew and worse yet supremely unreliable despite making assurances otherwise. They were quick to make charges on my credit card and iffy regarding the timeline of refunds.
I will update this review to recommend the company that we are going with once the job is done.

After the dust has settled from my first and I hope last encounter with Hunt Services, I feel like this experience was a cross between a walk down the garden path and being left in the woods on a snipe hunt. I was on the internet looking for someone to do some electrical work around our home and I filled out a work request form and I received a call from Hunt Services. I was told about the $99.00 service call fee and scheduled a appointment. When the employees showed up to get the info on my project, not once did they offer me a written estimate. I asked the employee if he needed a deposit and he told me no, the only thing I was being charged for that day was the $99.00 service fee. Wrong. I checked my credit card statement the next day and there was a charge on my account for ($1, 289.63) I provided all of the products to complete this project. The 2 employees who came to the house were very efficient and knowledgeable about electrical issues and they had the project completed in 3 hours. I asked for a invoice to pay my bill and I was told one would be sent to my email account. Our printer was not working at this time so it took me a couple of days for the ton of bricks to come crashing down on me when I did finally see this invoice. I was being charged ($2,456.43) for this 3 hour project. The last time I looked Electricians were getting about $40.00 per hour, not $400.00. The one charge that really frosted my cookies was for ($676.66) to install 2 (4' plug in florescent light fixtures above a shelf in the garage. We all like to see a business do well in these hard times, but this was more than just being heavy handed. I would strongly recommend that you avoid having to use any of Hunts Services, if this is how normal business is done' RIP OFF

So disappointed with their customer service. Had them out to clear a clogged drain which they said they were leaving a thing of bio-clean to use on the drain. We asked if there was an additional charge for the bio-clean and were told that there was not. Paid the $500+ bill, which we thought was too high, and asked for the invoice. We were told the invoice would be sent via email. Sure enough when we received the email the invoice had a charge of $89 for the bio-clean. Called multiple times requesting a refund. Finally received an email back - not a call - that they would not be refunding the price of the bio-clean as they believe that we were informed of the additional cost. There is no way we would have agreed to the cost for something like that. We have used Hunts a few times in the past and we're planning on using them more. After this incident we will not be using their services at all. I would advise others to also rethink using them. Check out the bbb complaints and note that their business practice seems to be to offer refunds after a poor review has been left - as long as the customer removes the complaint and signs a waiver. That right there is a red flag! Think. Check things out. Find another service company to use.

Hunt's quoted me over 2k for about 3 hours of labor. Luckily I found not the company to do the job at 1/3 of their quote. However, they did happily take my $99 service fee to give me that insane quote. Be wary.

Description of work: Repair or replace a section of kitchen sink drain and vent pipe; also replace supply valves for kitchen sink and dishwasher.
The plumbing part of the project went fine, if a little on the expensive side. The new installation appears to be functional and free of leaks.
Major problem: A few days after they finished, I moved a floor mat in my kitchen and discovered a 3/16"" hole drilled through the floor! (It seems that when drilling a pilot hole from the basement for the new drain pipe, they had misjudged the location of the cabinet, and drilled through the floor instead.) While on-site, they never mentioned their mistake to me. Instead, they just covered it up by moving the floor mat back into place (with some sawdust still around it).
Minor problem: They also failed to clean up scraps of pipe and hole-saw cuttings, both on the ground outside the house and on the roof.
The company did not respond to my emailed report of these issues, in which I included a photo of the hole in the floor. I would have expected them to at least offer to reimburse me for the cost to repair the damage.
