Hired Chunk Hunt because of good reviews. I had a horrible experience. Set time for Tuesday, he called to re-schedule, fine. Thursday he was a no call no show. I called and he apologized and said he could do it Saturday, ok. He told me he would hook up the fireplace and run gas line and he did not need me to find the fireplace manual. He tried and could not hookup the fireplace, said he would call company Monday. My wife said she had a headache and smelled gas. Sure enough, he left a bad connection and a gas leak. I fixed that and looked at his work on the fireplace, he was not connecting the gas line to the correct spot. I fixed that too. If I can fix a plumbers work we have a serious problem. If you value safety I would suggest finding another plumber.

This guy is a joke. Called him on a Monday explained the issue he said he will be out Tuesday morning at 8:00am he never showed up or called. I had someone there all day waiting for him to show up. I since have called him several times and still no call back.

We have had Chuck come out twice to fix problems that were caused by the poor workmanship of our shoddily built new construction home. He has been quick to get here, quick to get his work done, and he charges such a fair price that I dare say he's UNDER priced.

On his most recent visit, he completely took apart and rebuilt a problem toilet, put it back and grouted it to the floor (which had not been done originally and as such caused the toilet to wobble around). While he was there, he also fixed a leak in a faucet in another bathroom. He charged us about $150 for all this week.

He's also very polite and personable. We'll have him back the next time we have problems (which are inevitable).

These guys are awesome! We found out that we had a collapsed mainline in our plumbing two days before my wife was being induced for labor and we couldn't even flush the toilet, take a shower, or wash dishes!! I called frantically around and got two quotes; one from Hunt Plumbing and one from Roto Rootor. Hunt Plumbing was $2000 cheaper AND they agreed to replace all the internal pipes as well as the outside pipes (roto rooter quoted only the outside plumbing).

Chuck Hunt reworked his schedule and came out on a Saturday and replaced the entire plumbing street to basement because he knew we couldn't have a baby home without water. He even came out on Sunday to tie up loose ends and make sure everything was OK.

I highly recommend these guys, Big Company quality work but with the personal touch and care of a family business.

We called him for service for two fairly minor jobs: after he arrived - he made a quick excuse to leave - stating he needed an additional part. He said he would return first thing in the morning. By 10:30 am - we called - and received no answer. He had both my and my wife's cell numbers - and he did not answer calls from either one. Around 1 pm - I called from a ""3rd"" number - which he promptly answered. He stated - ""I'm finishing up and will get there between 2 and 3."" By 4, I started calling again - and again and again. No response. Really was an easy fix, and trust me - our house/bathrooms are clean! (LOL). Dont count on this guy to return calls, stick to his word, or - be reliable in the least.

Chuck was very professional, prompt, and responsive and fixed my plumbing problem. He was courteous and offered good advice for the future.

I've had Chuck Hunt come out and complete some small jobs and have been very pleased with the service.

I got his name from the City of Cincinnati's list of approved vendors to inspect my automatic sprinkler's backflow device. Since I don't really care what my lawn looks like and I don't like paying $200 to the City + mandatory tracking fees annually, I just had him remove the backflow device entirely. Which he did gladly and for a reasonable amount.

Next up, my sump pump stopped working. This sump pump was only 2 years old, so I chose not to call the installer because I was a little wary of his reliability. When Chuck came (I called him in the morning, he arrived *exactly* when he said he would at 1:30 in the afternoon), it only took him a minute to determine that the sump pump was never installed correctly. It only took him about 30 minutes to fix it and have it on its merry sump pumping ways.

Also while he was here I had him look at a pesky toilet issue, which he fixed promptly (the gasket was dry rotted). I mentioned to him in passing that I think my hot water heater may be on the fritz. As he was leaving he told me that he had a quick look at the water heater and it looks like it's in A-OK condition. I was so pleased that he just took those few extra moments to reassure me.

This may seem like the small details, but you'd be surprised at all the different sorts of workers I've had through my house... Chuck wear booties inside, making sure not to track in and mud, water, etc. He also left everything clean and in better condition than he found it. And one small detail that I appreciate - he turned off all the lights in my basement before leaving!
