With over 20 years in the field, Warren Hunt, the owner, has extensive knowledge of the industry. Our expertise lies in plumbing, heating, and air conditioning repairs and replacements. We aim to be budget-friendly while delivering outstanding service and quality products.

I have dedicated 20 years to the plumbing, heating, and air conditioning industry. I hold licenses as a master plumber/gasfitter and HVAC technician in MD, VA, and DC. I entered the trade in 1982, working for a respected service company in the Washington DC area, and I love both learning and teaching the craft. After managing a sizable plumbing and HVAC company, I realized I missed interacting with customers, prompting me to start my own business in 2008. I have enjoyed building personal relationships with my customers while providing excellent service at a fair price.

Hunt has worked on HVAC in the recent past.
The system is 20 years old and was installed when the house was built so it doesn't owe us anything. I had gotten a quote a few weeks earlier when the igniter failed and they replaced that.
The system failed on Christmas Eve. I called Hunt and they came out that day, diagnosed the issue and the bottom line was it had to go.
It was working intermittently but this was it.
The best thing was they could schedule the replacement for the Thursday after Christmas.
They showed up Thur. morning and we had heat by early afternoon. They came back on Fri. to install the AC compressor.
They listen to the customer and get the job done.
As I've said elsewhere if you have a problem, call these folks.

Customer service was good (office person and technician) but diagnosis for why my AC unit was not cooling was incorrect. I was told I needed to replace the capacitor, which I agreed to replace. (Replacing the capacitor did not fix the problem; same amount of air was blowing from the vents). Also, I was told that I may also have a leak and need to add freon but that he would have to check (for a fee in addition to the initial fee to inspect the AC = $89.95). I would have thought that would have been included. For that reason, I declined. I had to call someone else to inspect my AC unit who determined that I did have a leak and needed to add freon. No additional cost to inspect. So bottom line - I paid $300 for a part that did not solve my AC unit problem. Very disappointed. Hunts would probably be ok if you know actually what your problem is or just to install a new unit but I will not be finding that out. I wish the best to future customers.

First, contrary to what the owner claims, he does not meet with or know all his customers personnally. Second, you want to overpay for services, hire this company. Similar practice to most plumbing companies - nothing new.
You will pay double or even triple with this company or other plumbers than if you hired a handyman. One handyman in particular comes to mind, Dave at 443-404-0449.
With Dave, you won't pay double or triple what the materials cost and you will get a fair labor rate, without all the strings attached like the $75 charge for the trip to your location whether or not you get the work done.

I called Hunt's for a service call since they are local, I've explain the problem to the technician, who was on time. He looked around, told me the HVAC unit had to much freon. It worked for a couple of days. I called the company to let them know the hvac stopped working and I was told that I would have to pay for another service call.

Hunts plumbing and heating. Done a Fantastic job with my installation . They were knowledgeable, very professional, very clean. Installed everything in the timeframe they quoted. Even done little extra work for me. When running late on morning cause of traffic, they called and stated exactly when they would arrive. I am very very pleased with my new furnace and air conditioner unit. Mr Warren and his team done an EXCELLENT job. I would use them again in a heartbeat if needed.

Luck of the draw I contacted Hunt's when my AC unit froze up. Tech was out the next morning, the news was not good. Unit was old and needed to be replaced. The replacement unit was installed promptly. The new unit is very impressive, shouldn't be hidden away in a utility room :). Great service and equally good prices! I called Hunt based on a recommendation from my contractor. Couldn't be happier with the work. Warren came out and gave a quote. He was very knowledgeable and professional and took his time understanding our needs. In the end, we decided to have Hunt replace our air conditioning unit. Hunt's quote was 2k less than a competitor that also gave us a quote. Installation couldn't have gone more smoothly. The guys that came out were great. They were very professional and also respectful of our home. Installing the new A/C unit took approximately 4 hours and the new unit works great. Highly recommend!

Was forced to use them on account of a home warranty. Toilet isn't flushing well. Sometimes have to flush 4-5 times before it will clear the bowl. A really old toilet just breaking down. Guy who is out to look at it makes the assumption that the problem is calcium buildup. Nice, guy, new guy, but nothing to go on, no proof, nothing. He tells that to the home warranty people. Then they say they won't cover replacement. Fine. Then I ask the guy to clean out the buildup while he is making the service call. ""Nope can't do that. The only way to do that is to replace it."" Yet I'm stuck paying the ENTIRE DEDUCTIBLE for him to make some probabilistic statement . We're not talking a 60 70 dollar service call either. OH, more, much more. Yeah, real time shitty service. Never call and never ever let your home warranty company suggest them.

After a different company (Service Doctors I'm talking to you) screwed around for TWO WEEKS, claiming it was the coil and the condenser but literally did NOTHING in two weeks of wasted phone calls pleading with them to fix it, we finally got Hunt's to come out instead. They came out right away, and within 30 minutes they fixed our A/C!! And it was neither the coil nor the compressor - it was something else entirely. In fact Hunt's was able to determine that SD hadn't even hooked up gauges to properly diagnose the problem. We suffered with no a/c for two weeks because of SD. We will be a loyal Hunt's customer from now on! Ask for Todd - he was great.
