This company was highly recommended. They came out, assessed the situation and explained everything. They told me $159 per hour for 6 hours plus any extra parts. That sounded reasonable to me. When I recieved a written quote, it was over $2800! Easy math of hourly rate plus supplies does not come even near that amount! A closer look at the itemized details showed 8 hours of work plus $100 per hour for an apprentice! So I was getting charged $259 an hour! I went with another plumber who charged about half as much for 7 hours of work (Approximately $160 per hour plus permits and a small amount for parts). I will not be calling Hukills again.

I can't say enough great things about this company! From the friendly staff answering the phones - including walking us through what they needed from us, to scheduling a leak defection technician to come out ASAP and helping us to manage the situation and make the best decisions. We are new home owners and truly appreciated the expertise and guidance. Our leak technician was Christian and he is the very best! We will be passing our experiences on to all of our friends and family and anyone who will listen!!! You guys are the best!!!!

To me they seem perfectly incapable of scheduling an appointment in a timely and reasonable fashion. The people answering the main phone line do not appear to have any understanding of how the operation works yet they are the ones communicating with the customer. This poor communication system leads to a breakdown when trying to get the job accomplished. After having spent almost a month trying to get this problem resolved and running into complication after complication, I give up! Things were so much simpler where I used to live you could just call a plumber, book an appointment and get the problem fixed. I have not been able to figure out the system down here at all. Very disappointed:(

PS Ryan I did not threaten to leave a bad review. In my experience it takes the office personnel almost a week to get back to me when I try to contact the main line and then they seem to need to contact someone else each time. On the last call she tried to make the appointment for Friday. I simply asked why the appointment would be Friday instead of Wednesday or Thursday as I was told the previous week when someone took the message and without warning I was transferred to another person in the office. When that person offered Wednesday I took it. Today Jerry called out of the blue and left a message canceling the appointment (not adjusting it just outright canceling it). As the owner, I would think you would want to make adjustments to how your processes work instead of losing business using a system that does not work but to each their own.

Darrin C owner of Kottke/Eagle plumbing had been my plumber for years. 2008 Darrin responded quickly to my water tank emergency with same day service. He recommended the Rinnai tankless/on demand water heater. The Rinnai has been one of my best major appliances purchased thus far. Darrin did the install/equipment for half the price of two quotes I had received.I have used Darrin on all my plumbing needs, repairs to remodels over the years. He is honest,reliable, and reasonably priced. My most recent repair call for my Geberit wall hung toilet Darrin informed me he was selling his business name. He would continue to work for the company that bought his business name but was keeping his established clientele. I was pleased that I could continue to have Darrin as my plumber as I have contractor/handyman trust issues. Last week I decided to tend to my badly leaking hose bib. I called the business that bought Darrin's business , Sp_ _ _an Plumbing, I requested Darrin C. I was told ""We don't know who he is"" I informed her that Darrin told me he sold his business to S_ _ _ _an Plumbing and was continuing to work part time there. Again she said ""We don't know who he is. Who is ""WE"" I did not know there were three persons on my call. Feeling something was off with the ""We don't know who he is "" response I hung up and called Hukills, they had numerous positive reviews on Yelp and Google. The call was courteous and service was scheduled around my availability. Next day. When the Hukills truck arrived at my house to surprise and relief Darrin C got out of the Hukills truck. Wow I could relax and knew my problem would be fixed accurately. Hukills Thank You for finding Darrin C. I will continue to use Hukills for all future plumbing needs. Hukills was reasonably priced, timely and clean. No messy contractors that I have to clean up after. You have a Great Plumber with Darrin as an addition to you crew

Gave an estimate for $500-1000, ended up charging over $2000 for a 4ft extension of water valve and drain pipe. Job was pretty straightforward...not sure why it took them the estimated 3 hours to over 8 hours. Then they had the nerve to tell me other customers had to wait for their service because it took their guys so long. Not sure why I would be responsible for that? Almost forgot to mention. After they completed their work they found not hot water. They assumed the water heater wasn't hooked up. After canceling my inspection and calling the owners of the building, we found they had not turned on the hot water valve to the faucet...ummm really! Two days of wasting my time! Would not recommend!

I've had them out a few times for various issues. Leaking or running toilets, garage disposal stoped working. Every time they've been timely, Efficient, and have had great communication and customer service. There pricing is fair compared to others in the valley, but I will only use them from now thanks to their friendly and professional nature.

I removed my old washing machine to replace with the new one, only to find my cold water shut off valve was leaking (badly). I got online to find a plumber. Hukills comes up at the top of the list.
I called them immediately. I was told by Rosie she would have to have me text pictures to her phone and she would show them to the office manager and get back to me RIGHT AWAY. I texted immediately and then waited.
As I waited I called other companies. Three hours goes by, so I call again. I was told by the lady who answered that Rosie was out to lunch for another 20 minutes or so, but she would have her call me RIGHT AWAY.
TWO DAYS have gone by. I have NEVER received a return call. It would have been nice to at least had them say, ""We are booked for the next two weeks, but would be happy to put you on a cancellation list"", or even, ""Your job is too small, we don't want your business"".
I was put on a cancellation/fit you in list by several other companies.
ACCURATE PLUMBING had someone out to me the next day. He completed the job in 30 mins. He did an excellent job.
Not good business practice, Hukills.

I called 2 plumbing services recommended by my usual plumber who couldn't get to me for a week. I had to leave a message at the first, but Hukill's answered the phone and scheduled me for the same day. Tom H and Don B arrived earlier than expected (after calling first) and provided excellent service. All the usual kudos apply: polite, friendly, professional, thorough, clean. My personal favorite was Tom's detailed written description of the work they did. If I ever need to recall what was done, it's all on my receipt!

Donovan was on time, courteous and professional, and wasted no time adding hot water shut off valve to my water heater and connecting my new kitchen sink. I had no problem paying for 2 hrs labor, but really choked when I was charged $149 for materials, that probably cost company no more than $30-$40. Doubt that I will use them again.

I have personally only called Hukill's once. And that was to help find a leak in my friends home. The tech was pretty young, reeked heavily of pot, searched the house trying to find a leak and could not find anything. It was clear there was a leak somewhere due to water damage but he said he couldn't find anything. I ended up paying almost $400, for being told nothing could be found. Another company located the issue and it was handled appropriately. I won't say Hukill's is a horrible company, they seem to do fine when they come out to where I work to handle things, and many people like them. I was not hugely impressed and I really don't care to have people coming in my home that smell strongly of pot. I get that pot is legal, but if you are on the job you should not be smoking it. Besides the fact that the smell of it gives me migraines, I find the use of it while working to be highly unprofessional and it reflects poorly on the company you work for.
While my one experience may not have been stellar, they seem to usually be a decent, reliable company most of the time. I wont call Hukill's for any of my plumbing needs but that doesn't mean you shouldn't. I have found reliable, pot free, plumbers closer to where I live so will use them when needed. If I lived in Medford, I'd probably try Hukill's again, and just request the tech be pot free.
