They installed a gas wall heater but it never worked right. They charged us for numerous repair jobs several times . We called someone else who fixed it in 15 minutes! I would NOT RECOMMEND!

I had a leak in a bathroom faucet so I called Hug. I asked him to check the other plumbing to make sure we had no other problems. He did and got everything in working order. He was neat, on time and did not break the bank. He also had some money saving tips for future plumbing projects. I will make Hug my go to plumber.

When my AC/furnace system quit working, I found out I still have a warranty on my house, and Hugs is the contractor for the warranty service. I am SUPER pleased with the quality of service I got! The repair man was courteous, thorough and arrived when Hugs said he would. Everything is now rewired, got a new transformer and fuse and my system upgraded. Thrilled and I highly recommend Hugs!

Called my home warranty and was told Hug would contact me within 24 hours. Dave called me at 11:15 am just 3 hours later. He told me he would be at my house in1/2 hr. he was early came in and was friendly, professional and found I had a bad thermostat. These guys know how to fix a problem! We had a MAJOR leak under our kitchen sink. My schedule is pretty tight since I am a teacher and have 4 year old twins, but they made the appointment work for me by adjusting their schedule. These guys fixed the problem on my VERY OLD house (Craftsman - built in 1947) and were so sweet to my curious kids who wanted to talk about caterpillars and gophers.

I got several estimates back in October to replace my water heater and install a whole house water filtration system. A few were too high, but Steve from Hug was good, but also the most knowledgeable, courteous and prompt. He actually did what he said he was going to do and on time.

A few months later we decide to use Hug again to install a custom vent that was being run to a new room we had created out of 3rd garage. Also excellent work and competitive price. They came up with an unconventional solution that was much better than others we had talked to.

So we were already very pleased with them.

Now here's the kicker- 6 months after the Water system install we noticed a small drip on one of the PVC joints. Steve came immediately the next day after we called him on the weekend, spent most of the day to test everything, replace the bad parts, retest and make sure it was working 100% and did not charge us a dime! No labor, parts, nothing.

Plus since we moved up to Santa Rosa area recently we asked him for several referrals of totally unrelated businesses and they have all turned out great. Thank you Steve for being a quality plumber and great resource!

I would definitely recommend Hug for any Plumbing or HVAC needs.

Steve from Hug Plumbing came out to have a look at a clogged drain line. The line had been snaked a couple of times (once by another plumbing company, and another time by myself) but that didn't manage to fix the problem for more than a few days. Steve offered to snake the line again; we took him on that, as he had a snake with a narrower cable designed to go around tight bends in smaller lines.

The narrower cable was able to go farther down the line than was previously managed, so a good start. Steve really made me a fan, though, with his tenaciousness and desire to really understand the problem. Without getting into details, the drainage system was showing some strange symptoms, and Steve spent a good 2 hours working to figure out what is going on. He crawled under the house several times. He snaked the drain a few times, put the snake back on his truck, but then decided to haul it back in the house to run it down again, just to be sure about something. He spent time working through various theories and discussing them with me.

He did all this even though he was charging a flat (and very competitive) fee to do the job, and even though the company does not guarantee drain cleaning (which is not unusual). In other words: he was putting in the effort just because he wanted to do a good job!

Due to the nature of the problem, he wasn't able to fully resolve it during the visit, but he did as much as anybody could be expected to do, and more. He was professional and a very nice guy.

Wish I would have had a choice on the heating and air conditioning company
that I could call. Unfortunately my home warranty limited me to Hug Plumblng.
Took forever to get a service technician out. Once he gave the diagnosis it took
another 2 weeks to get service completed. Services he performed did not
fix my air conditioner and I paid a ridiculous amount. This I figured out as I
had to have another company come out and fix my air conditioner correctly.
Wrong diagnosis, not happy!!

I'd give 10 stars if I could! Dealing with contractors and service people for 23 years at my home, this is the best service I have ever gotten, hands down. Our 14 year old air conditioner went out, and certain I needed a replacement, called Hug. Got a return call within 5 minutes. The owner told me that in his gut, it just most likely needed repairing but that he would have a person call me within 10 minutes. I thot ""yeah, right"". Bingo, phone rings, we make an appointment for about an hour and a half later. THE SAME DAY!!! Shocked!! Totally nice man comes out, checks entire unit, comes in with the verdict. There was a slow leak, and the freon had run out. Fixes it within the hour, cleaned the unit thouroughly, out the door with frosty air blowing. As a new unit would have cost thousands, Hug saved me bunches of money and hassle!

I will always call Hug! This company is an unbelievable standout in service, professionalism and in saving you money.
