Left a message yesterday trying to get someone out to my place to fix a broken AC unit. Over 24 hours later no return call. If the company is to busy to return phone calls then hire a receptionist to answer phones and give customers an eta on when they can expect to hear back. I wasn't actually expecting anyone to come out immediately but I was expecting to at least be acknowledged and valued.

our home warrenty dispatched Hug plumbing to fix our air conditioner. after trying multiple times to contact them to see when they would be out so I could plan to be home, i finally got a call 30 min before they were going to show. the tech came to assess and fix it. my air conditioner broke that night again. after no return call for the next time they could come back out I went to my home warrenty to send a different company out. apparently they rigged the old capacitor with a booster and a smaller capacitor. this company is not about customer service nor doing work right the first time.

if you are looking for quality work and customer service then skip this company and find someone else. we got an appointment same day to fix their mistakes.

I have now had to use Hug twice ... once when the furnace went out and now, again, when the air conditioner went out. Both happened probably the worst time of the respective seasons for a breakdown; however, all was repaired in a timely manner and is working great! I would agree w/ other reviewers when it comes to the company being slow to return calls. But, in Hug's defense, my emergency isn't necessarily theirs ~ so I would recommend patience. (And, BTW, when I say 'slow' to return call ... I'm talking the day after i leave a vm which is why I still give 5 star review.) In both instances I've dealt w/ Chez (apologize if spelled incorrectly) and he's been nothing but great ~ particularly in the case of the furnace. (He had to work w/ the home warranty company to get the specific part and Old Republic took longer than I would have liked!)

Highly, highly recommend Hug.

The company is slow to return calls, but it is not because they don't want to call, but it appears they have way more requests for service than they can manage. That said, I put in a service order through my home warranty company on a Tuesday and they were at my home by Thursday. AC is fixed and we're no longer melting at home. The technician was very polite and kind. He worked fast but was very thorough. Thank you HUG... I have my house cool again in this 100 degree weather !!

My air conditioner went out the first day of a week long heat wave. I contacted my home warranty company late on a Saturday evening, and by Monday afternoon Dave from Hug had the air conditioner working again. I was very impressed with how quickly they were able to get out to my house when I'm sure they had plenty of work to keep them busy. Dave was great, and I'd recommend Hug to all of my family and friends.

Our furnace went out the week before Thanksgiving, and after a bad experience with a different company, we called our home warranty company who sent us Hug Plumbing. They came the next day, which was great for us, since we had been without heat for days. I think the technician who came was Mark, who was terrific. We told him the problem and what we had tried already. He did some logical troubleshooting and within 15 or 20 minutes fixed our furnace. We were extremely happy.

The reason we were so happy (besides having heat after several very cold days) is that we had a rather bad experience with a different local plumbing/heating company a couple of days earlier. (I reviewed that company on Yelp, as well.) After spending very little time looking at our furnace issue, acting as though he really didn't know what he was doing, and being incredibly rude to boot, the guy from the other company told us we needed a new furnace!! We were sure he was wrong, which is why we wanted another opinion.

Had we listened to the other company, we would have been stuck paying for a new furnace. Instead, we have heat again for the price of a service call. I highly recommend Hug Plumbing!

Had these guys check my mother's furnace because it was leaking. The repairman says it was full of water because the condensation wasn't draining and we would need a new furnace costing $12,000 to $15,000. After the repairman left I examined the leak, it was coming from a cracked piece of PVC pipe in the condensate drain system. I got the replacement kit for a little over $100 and a contractor friend of mine is going to put it in, he says it is very simple and should take no more than an hour. If someone isn't going to put in the effort to find a simple crack in a plastic pipe and go straight to $15,000 it leads me to believe they are either incompetent or dishonest and trying to make a big sale instead of an inexpensive and simple repair. Do yourself a favor and find someone else.

Hug Plumbing is a wonderful company. Dan originally installed my new gas water heater many years ago. Just recently I asked him to come back to check my hot water tank and my heating and cooling system. He did, he found I had a very small gas leak, he fixed it and cleaned the water tank out. Wonderful job! He is also going to install a new Flue for me in the near future.

Our tech was out today in the poring rain. Did his job, fixed our problem quickly. I would refer these folks anytime, any day to solve your heating or a/c needs, bravo!!
