I reached out to Comfort Master because they are certified for Carrier brand units. That was a a mistake, because this company over charges for simple service options. They found that my unit had leaked refrigerant and fixed the leak, all within less than 2 hours. They charged me $1200 total. There was no empathy from Larry, who is supposedly experienced. He had a ""take it or leave it"" attitude. With two kids at home, I took his offer and paid the invoice. They charge $85 a pound for refrigerant, which is insane! Also their labor is $98 an hour. In my opinion, a simple leak fix and refrigerant refill should not cost more than $600. You can find someone else that will give you a better deal, and a better service experience. Although, the people on the phone are nice. Probably the reason why I went with them in the first place. Big mistake
Update: Thank you for agreeing that you are too expensive. And figures that you didn't address the poor customer service from Larry. I should have not let the guy use my bathroom twice either.

I used this company for 8 years. I was very happy with price and service. They recently charged me $425.00 for a $100.00 dollar part. I called to complain and they refunded $108.00 dollars. Not sure what has changed, but I no longer trust them or plan to use them. Now I have to call the 25 friends I recommended them to.

My AC had a messy problem that it would stop working after a certain amount of time. Luis came in and tried everything but he couldn't break the sneaky thing, but he had a good guess on the failing unit. On his second visit he brought a motor and fixed the problem promptly.
This is a good company that cares its customers, and technicians that can actually fix your problem. I would choose them again.

I just wanted to say thank you for coming out and fixing the problem with our unit last week. The crew was very professional and helpful at the house. Props to Howard for diagnosing the problem and other two guys for double checking everything.

Once again Comfort Masters/ Ed and Donna to the rescue! One of our A/C units went out. Their quick and professional attention to our issue has us enjoy a nice cool home again.

I absolutely love comfort master! They always show up on time and really try to help out their customers out before having to charge at all. They also work really hard to find the cheapest and best solution for every time. They also thoroughly explain issues in a way that is easy for anyone yo understand.
We have used them twice in the last year, once to replace our A.C. (keep your dogs away from ground A.C. units), and another time to replace the motor on our furnace. Both times they did everything they could for us before having to replace anything and when it came to having to replace them they searched for the best prices. We are very satisfied with all of their work and will not hesitate to call them again if needed, I hope we don't.

Long story short: we had been without heat for two months while our home warranty company exhausted their list of HVAC companies, none of which were certified to work on our system. I finally was able to choose my own companies. Clarke & Rush said our compressor needed to be replaced, but due to the cost, recommended we purchase a whole new system. They even had a sales appt. set up for me the very next day! It didn't sit right with me, so I called the next name on the list of Carrier certified companies and spoke with Donna at Comfort Master. She had our technician, Larry Russel out the very next day (who checked out way more areas of our system than any of the previous SIX technicians ever even looked at or seemed to even know existed). He replaced two other much cheaper parts, added a sealer and refrigerant, and we had heat that day!!! After two months of no heat, we just couldn't believe it!!! And for one-tenth of the price we were told by two previous companies it was going to cost! Even though we paid Comfort Master directly, Donna spent two-plus hours the following day to call/email our home warranty company and got the service approved for full reimbursement!!! This company clearly deserves every single five-star rating they earn. So much appreciation and gratitude for their expertise and superb service.

I had called CM late yesterday when my AC started sputtering.
Donna warned me that they were very busy but she would try and squeeze me in the next day especially if the jobs that were already set up, went quicker than expected. Unfortunately they didn't, but Donna noted that I lived close to the office and she analyzed the problem and thought it might just be a quick and simple solution. And though it was late Friday afternoon, Luis was soon at my door, and after a quick test, he replaced the capacitor and my home is cool again.
CM is great. Donna and Luis were professional, friendly and upfront.
Price was fair and charges explained. It's no wonder they are the go-to service in the neighborhood.

Comfort Master is one of the most professional and honest HVAC contractors I've had the pleasure of doing business with. When I first contacted CM, I was inquiring about obtaining a bid for a new split system. Ed, the owner, actually provided some ideas on how to make the existing unit perform better and was trying to talk me out of buying a new system. A few days later, I called back to make an appointment to get bids for a new system, as my existing system was beginning to make some strange noises. Ed arrived on time and answered all my questions thoroughly and in terminology I could understand with no pressure to make a commitment. Within a day I had a detailed bid that provided three options based on our discussion of my needs. The most expensive option was nearly $10K less than another contractor (JR Putman). One of the options included replacing the existing package unit with another Carrier system and sealing the existing ducts with a product called Aeroseal. This product is amazing and now I can feel a significant improvement in air flow through-out my entire house. It took a few days to make my decision to go forward but when I did, CM wasted no time working me into the schedule. Within a week the work commenced and, as promised, the work was completed within 4 days. Trent, the project lead and his crew, did a great job of installing a new air return as well as the new HVAC system. Donna was a real pleasure to work with and was very patient with my many questions and phone calls. I will absolutely recommend CM to my friends and family and would use them again for all my HVAC needs.

Our AC failed late on a Saturday afternoon. Comfort Master was our first call and we were fortunate to find Ed and Donna in the office doing paperwork and they answered our call even though they were closed. I had already done some diagnostics and Ed walked me through some more. I sent them pictures of model numbers and such via email and they got right back to us with the news that a new capacitor should do the trick. They had one in stock and I could come pick it up. They would hang out and wait for me at 6:00 p.m on a Saturday evening. We picked it up and installed it ourselves. The blower still seems to limping so we will undoubtedly have them out to check it, but for now we are cool and comfortable.
FYI.... this is not the first time that Ed and Donna have shared their knowledge over the phone and saved us money and it is why they are always my first call for HVAC needs. Thanks again Ed and Donna!
