I contacted Hudson County In the morning about an estimate to replace my leaking hot water heater and was told a technician would call me back with a price after providing some more info. Tom called me back within 45 minutes and we discussed the job and price. I had asked if he would be able to come that day but he was already booked. He told me he could come first thing the next morning (today). He texted me in the morning that he was picking up another part he needed and would be 15 minutes later. He did show up exactly as planned with his helper Las. They got to work quickly disassembling and draining the old heater while we discussed the job. Both Tom and Las were very neat, professional and the install looks great. They even added new ball valves on the hot and cold water lines! They got the installation done in about 2 hours at what I think was a fair price. We had some great conversation during the install too.
I am very pleased with my new Rheem water heater and would recommend using Tom and Hudson County for your plumbing needs.

The Good: I needed them to repair a broken outdoor faucet and was able to make an appointment quickly . The owner and two of his employees showed up on time.

The Bad: The owner was mostly on his phone, checking his ""Angie's List"" reviews, which was all he was worried about. The two other guys did the work, but one of the guys made a mistake and the owner yelled at him in a really disrespectful way in front of me (called him an idiot etc). Quality of work? The faucet leaked and I had to call another plumber to fix it.

I recommend using them. I used them to fix my tenants sink. Very reliable, honest and communicates through out the whole process. They even ran out to Home Depot when they didn't have the parts.

Hired for several jobs including central air conditioning repair, sump pump replacement, central air conditioning unit replacement.

Moe and receptionist were responsive, prompt, punctual, courteous, professional, reasonable prices, most importantly - trustworthy.

I hired them for 3 major projects: repairing CAC unit, replacing sump pump and cleaning out drain clog, replacing CAC unit and coil unit. All done within 3 weeks.
Moe and Lisa were both responsive, prompt, courteous, and professional during the period of three weeks in which I hired them for several projects. The first project was to fix CAC unit that was not working properly on a Saturday. After calling 5 service providers, I decided to go with Hudson County because they were willing to go out there that day within a couple of hours. They understood the urgency and were willing to accommodate their schedule to pay the visit. Moe went out that same day to fix it.
Then, about two weeks later, when I needed a plumber to replace the sump pump and clean out the drain, I called them again. Moe explained the problem, what needed to be done, how he'll do it, and what it would cost. Lisa and Moe called along the way as requested to let me know when parts would come in, when the work will be done, and how much it would cost. No hidden costs and problems.
The biggest project was replacing the CAC unit. Moe took the time to explain the entire issue and his proposed solution over the phone and welcomed second opinions and a chance to show-and-explain in person. I especially appreciated his plan to run time consuming diagnostic tests in order to alleviate bigger issues.
Work was done exactly as he had explained. Highly recommend Moe.

I would give them negative stars if I could. On Wednesday, 1/21, I scheduled an appointment for an estimate between 9&noon today, 1/23. I even said, ""I'm going to cancel another estimate I having coming in because I'm using you."" At 11:24 am I called to find out where the plumber was. I was told by Lisa that he was on his way, and just a few minutes away in Jersey City. Less than 20 minutes later I got a call back from Lisa letting me know that she's really sorry, but the plumber can't make it, he got called to an emergency. She wanted to know if he could come tomorrow (the forecast calls for 5 inches of snow, think he'll make it?)

I said no, and explained that as she knows, i canceled on another plumber because she said this was their only availability. And then I explained that I also have a job that I will now be going in 4 hours late to, for no reason, and will be there 4 hours late tonight to make up the time. Lisa said ""sorry"" but sounded anything but sorry.

Thanks for nothing. Instead of a 20 minute commute to work on my ferry, I'll now have a 45 minute commute as I go through 2 different modes of transport to get to the office (which I wouldn't mind if these jerks had shown up). And, I need to find another plumber to come give an estimate.

These guys get ZERO stars. UNRELIABLE.
