Our tenant had a dripping faucet in our bathroom sink. He called to have them come out and look at it. The plumber determined that it needed replaced. The charged us an hour of labor for the inspection. I called them back and requested that they replace the faucet and identified the replacement model. Everything was fine until I received my bill from the second visit. Over $600 to install a faucet with $435 labor. They had charged 3 hours of labor - including 1 hour of diagnostic work (on a faucet that they had already inspected). I had asked my tenant to keep track of the actual work time and he confirmed that the plumber had only taken an hour on the install. I called and complained and they reduced my bill slightly. The work seemed okay but this was very dishonest. I would beware of hiring them. Never again for me.

I wasn't even going to leave a review but after what I found in my basement today I felt the need to share. I will start at the first dissatisfied visit.
Two years ago I had a busted water line. It took a month before they would even consider coming out because of all the rain we had been getting. They were concerned about not being able to find the water leak despite me telling them it was up on a hill and I had already dug it out and located it for them.
Two techs came out, one obviously training. After they told me they were finished and bill paid I walked out to the area and between two young men, neither could cover and fill the hole back in that I had dug out for them.
Jump to this year. I called to have 2 bathroom drains checked, one leaking, one slow to drain. And a leak under my kitchen sink.
Tech that shows up at my home is the younger man that was training less than a year ago. I explained my issues and show him all the sinks and shower. He started on clogged, slow drain. He couldn't resolve the issue so he called dispatch for help. Now I am paying for two techs. Instead of working on one of my drain leaks he sits in the work van and waits.
I am told that they will have to come back at a later date to fix the shower drain issues. The office will set it up and give an estimate on cost. Noted that day, over $500.00, nothing fixed. Tech took his gloves off on my shower and threw them down, leaving me to pick up after him, putting them in the obvious trash can in the bathroom.
Second appointment, two man job, paying two techs. Shower drain in bathroom is fixed, they leave not fixing any leaks, dirty gloves thrown in my yard, not in the obvious trash can in my carport ten feet away from their van.
I go to my basement and they left all of the trash. Never in my experience have I ever had a plumber leave all of their trash behind. So yes, I called the office. Bill was paid in full. Total costs over two thousand dollars. I was told they would come by to clean up. They did, this time leaving my basement door wide open, winter if I may add, heating bills not cheap and the lights on under my house. I called to inform the office again as to how disrespectful these two techs are to peoples homes.
Now today... yes, months later but what I found. I went to look in my basement for my summer lounge chairs. They had been moved from their usual spot, in the dry sand part of my unfinished basement. I found them unfolded, legs folded under, laying in the dirty area of my basement floor that stays moist and wet, with muddy boot prints all over them. It's unfortunate to say the chairs had been moved from their storage place in the dry sand to the muddy area( wet from the repairs they were doing) and used by the techs to walk on with their muddy boots. A deliberate act of vandalism to personal property. I invited these gentlemen into my home and trusted them with my personal property and they disrespected my property and home. Yes, the company has been informed once again about the total lack of integrity. I feel violated due to the trust we place in services we all need. Thanks for reading. I am sure Hoyle Plumbing will never fulfill a service request of mine again but they are not the only game in town.

I had a pipe break inside of my wall with water flowing out everywhere. One of their trucks was leaving a neighbor's house so I asked if they could look at it. I was told I had to call the office for an appointment, which I understood, so I did. Around an hour later they called me back and told me they could come out six days later. I told them it was an emergency and they said they maybe could come out in five days. I called another plumbing company and they were at my house in thirty minutes and were able to fix the broken pipe. I've always used Hoyle Plumbing in the past but I will never call them again. The person who called me back was completely uninterested that I had a problem and the fact that going without water for a week was not possible. If you have an emergency plumbing problem call someone else.

I would give zero .... Sarah said the 50 dollar estimate would come out of the price of the service... then explained it was ""up front"" because how could it be applied if it was not paid.
I do not mind paying for service and I can only imagine of their competency. They were overworked due to the freeze. Having used them in the past, they charged me for two trips for one job and I was determined not to be overcharged by using communication and understanding. If one wants to stay in business you can't please everyone but as much as others may like that they are available for hire, I can not in good faith contract with confusing and less than polite treatment. Johnathon got to my house and seemingly was going to give an estimate , but the confusion got out of hand and I cussed him and asked him to leave after he hawked a lugger right at my front door step. If he had to clear his throat I would have offered him a handkerchief or he could have said excuse me and discreetly spat elsewhere. I do not think it was in malice but it irked me and I overreacted ... I can not be responsible for enforcing manners ... manners are learned and voluntarily observed again in good faith. I hope they learn that some standards are not worth compromising ...even if I do have to go without water.

Since posting my dad said I was stupid for getting upset , He wanted water.

We use them for all plumbing jobs both big and small. The service utilized range from major diameter pool circulation plumbing, the recent installation of new janitors sink, to routine bathroom and kitchen fixture service calls. We depend on their great service regularly.

I rated a 1 because there wasn't a 0. This place came out on Wednesday and gave us a quote on replacing a water line. Serious leak had to turn water off. Gave us a date of Monday to do the work. 4 days but ok we'll wait. Come Monday we got no call so I called them later in the day and was told we weren't scheduled until Thursday. Placed me on hold and came back and says we'll try get you on Wednesday. Nope had to wait until Thursday. So if you have an emergency you should look elsewhere. Men that did the work were professional and friendly and did a good job. But had to wait 8 days to get it done.

Since our primary plumber decided to get his hot air balloon license, we decided to try another plumber. We called Hoyle on recommendation from a family member. The initial response was quick. The first plumber was a bit young/inexperienced and was unable to repair the leaks. Fast forward and a different plumber came out the following week, replaced some parts and fixed the two leaks. Well, let's just say, not yet. The third time was the charm and the leaks were fixed for certain this time. It was admittedly a little frustrating playing phone tag and having a couple of ""no shows"". In the end, the work was completed at a fair price (we weren't charged for any of the additional visits it took to complete the repairs). Both plumbers we dealt with were very nice, friendly and polite.
