Our neighbor used Hoy plumbing in an emergency, and had nothing but good things to say about them. We figured in this case we would use them as well. I had a drain that started backing up slowly in my bathroom which did not respond to Drano alone. When they came, they told me what they discovered which was not a simple fix, but was not a difficult one either. Being as thorough as they were, they also went to check my lines to make sure that everything emptied out properly into the main sewer line, only to discover that I actually had two main lines. Joe, the owner, came over and inspected as well, and told me this was not uncommon especially when you have a septic tank conversion which may have happened many years ago. he went on to explain to me the history of the houses in the area, the plumbing involved with them, and the changes that have happened over the years based on the town inspectors. Needless to say I learned a lot about my house, as well as some of the history of why things function the way they do in my house. He obviously has a good amount of experience with older houses, and I'll be using them again when something else comes up.

Have used Hoy Plumbing for years. Joe is a great guy and does good quality work. Small shop, so sometimes have to wait a little longer than ideal, but hey - if I have an emergency, I would want him to show up quickly. And he does!

0 stars is unfortunately NOT an option here. Hoy took 45 days to do 4 days worth of work. A hot water heater was put in and a few leaks, as well as a sink faucet. Joe Barden of Hoy plumbing is telling me that he's waiting for the hot water heaters to be on sale to buy one,,,,,,,,,I;m gonna save 50? bucks on a hot water heater while I had to pay another 1,000 dollars rent because of poor judgement complete with laziness. He also went to my place to fix the leaks A DAY BEFORE he had to come and wait for the town inspector to inspect main line. The leaks EASILY could have been done while waiting. He is a cross between stupid and malicious . A very costly error [ for ME!] To rub salt in the wound, Plitnick Plumbing in Dobbs Ferry had to do an emergency service call to clean the exhaust LEADING from the hot water heater that was just installed!!!!! God is helping me, I am helping You,,,,,,,call Plitnick, 10 dollars more, 200 dollars cheaper in the long run

We have been doing business with Hoy Plumbing for years and can't give enough praise. Every time I've ever needed service, someone was always available to help. Service and workmanship is top notch. The owner and his staff are complete professionals. So happy we found Hoy for our plumbing needs.

Set up an appt. with 4 days lead time. I called the day before to confirm - got an answering machine. I left a message. On the day of the appt., no show. Not even a call before or after to explain. And of course, took time off work to make the appt. Lousy service. So I ended up calling Plitnick. Night and day. Those guys are awesome and they keep their word.
