I had used this company for 15 years, but they changed owners and the Howell's no longer own it, yet the new owners kept the Howell name and number. The new people did not return several messages left with them. I cannot recommend the new company based on poor professionalism and lack of response.

After a horrible experience with another company (JM)...we called Howell! They came out right away...so knowledgeable and didn't try and oversell us! We asked what he would do if it was his own home...they were honest and more than fair! Howell Services will always have our business! We paid 1,000 to have 16 feet of galvanized gas line ran to generator. They ran pipe straight to generator. There was a flex pipe sent with unit to be installed between generator and shut off. Issue number 2 was the regulator vent was turned up so water could get in. So we called them back to fix issues. Same guy came back. He twisted the flex pipe beyond belief to make it fit instead of cut the pipe back and doing it right. So we called them back. The owner came out with an attitude and very angry. When I ask I the vent should be turned down to keep water out He wouldn't answer. So I ask again and was told with an attitude ( you already looked it up you know which way it goes). So I said this is how you talk to your customers. He said I'm having a bad day. I explained I have my own business and would not talk to my customers like that. He's response was well how do you like it when your customers come out and harp on you. Well if I messed up like they did I would be apologizing not being rude. He didn't have the proper tools to cut and thread the pipe so he just put it back the best he could. Would not recommend them to anyone.

Very professional service and follow up from owners and technicians. Built a new home and Howell Services did all the new plumbing and HVAC. Everything went smoothly from planning, installation, and follow thru. All praises from our builder as well. He will be using them for future builds. You can count on them with NO worries for all your service and installation needs.

let's just add another 1 star rating to there already growing list of 1 star ratings. when you come into another person's business and knock something over on the floor, pick it up!! don't just leave it there on the floor along with the door open and lights on!! that is not how you found it!!! very unprofessional group of misfits here at howell services! would not recommend to anyone!! ever!!!

Called to schedule an appointment in the middle of December around noon on a Friday. Left a message. Got no return call. Called again on Monday, and was told they never got the message. When their rep arrived, I was charged 69.00 for his diagnosis. The diagnosis turned out to be wrong. Next, I was told there would be a 50 dollar charge to ship a part out of Houston. I objected. Nobody charges 50.00 for shipping. Howell reduced the shipping charge after I complained. When the part arrived I was told other parts would have to be installed in order to get the replacement part to fit. Oh, and I never got the receipt I requested for over 650.00 worth of repair work. Draw your own conclusions as to whether this is the kind of service you would appreciate.

I find them very professional, have used them only for the HVAC that they installed. John Boyd did a great job installing the board and motor that failed under warranty.

I learned about Howell Services from friends who were pleased with their work. I called last August to have my A/C serviced. I was very satisfied with their work and felt I could ask John to give me an estimate to replace my very old unit. He gave me several options to choose from and I didn't feel pushed at all to make a decision right away. In November, I called the office and the staff were able to pull up my records and give me the same information and quotes John and I had discussed in August. I scheduled the installment for December and it went very smoothly. Everyone was great to work with and I'm satisfied with both their price and workmanship.
