UPDATE: The company called back and delivered great customer service. They apologized for the misunderstanding. We were supposed to only be charged the service fee of $75 (completely reasonable), not the $160 hourly rate. I appreciate them reaching back out. If we need the work done after all, we will definitely consider hiring them for the job. It takes a lot to admit to a mistake and I commend them for taking action.

ORIGINAL: I called them due to a plumbing emergency to see what was wrong. At first they were great, sending someone ASAP to check it out (much appreciated). And the tech they sent was very helpful. My husband wanted to be able to see the problem for himself before deciding to spend $385 to fix it as that's a large sum to drop unexpectedly. So we were going to call them back after he had a chance to inspect and we could talk about the options. But the tech's boss told him to charge me the full $160 (hourly rate) for a visit that lasted less than 5 minutes. I've never had an encounter like this. And we decided we won't be having them back to fix the problem. I appreciate their timeliness, but no one told me what (or even if) I would be charged for the service visit until after the tech inspected the problem. $160 is a large sum for 2 minutes when a previous plumber came out for a different issue and charged only $75.

I called on a Monday with a non-emergency, and was able to schedule for the next morning.
Jeff from Howard plumbing was great. He fixed my leaking shower neck in no time at all and even replaced a dripping shut-off valve to my dishwasher so the ""big box"" chain store installer could finish installing my new dishwasher. Very reasonably priced. Thanks guys, top notch! I would definitely call them again with any plumbing concern.

Found Howard Plumbing through Yelp and decided to call because of the good reviews. They did not disappoint. I had a minor bathroom sink stopper repair and wanted my slow drains cleared. Patrick, the owner, arrived and completed the service items in a timely manner. Cost was very reasonable. I feel like I've found 'my' plumber.

I've had to call Howard Plumbing twice in a townhouse I just purchased. Both were for minor fixes like a garbage disposal and an element on a hot water heater but both times I was impressed with Jeff the technician. He quickly fixed the issues and explained his process for fixing them. Ideally would have preferred to not have an issue but when I do I know that I have a solid company to turn to. Overall very satisfied with the work and the professionalism.

Converted my home from oil to gas heating. With new gas service, I needed approximately 60 feet of gas line run from new gas manifold to new stove. Obtained five estimates before making easy decision to go with Howard Plumbing. They really stood out, being very professional, knowledgeable, and reasonably priced. This was a two-day process, requiring two inspections, each of which was an immediate ""pass."" I cannot speak more highly of their service. Howard Plumbing's reputation is well-deserved, and I intend to use them for future jobs.
