As I seem to recall, I was doing a big refurb of an apartment rental, and called Marc to deal with refurbishing the bathroom plumbing. Everything seemed all well and good. Aside from the plumbing, the actual renovation took months, and when we finally rented the apartment, the tenant complained that the drain-stop lever in the bathtub, which one of Marc's ""apprentices"" apparently installed, was extremely difficult to operate, and didn't stop the water from going down the drain.
I called Marc, asking him to come and take a look at it, and he promised to come by the following week. When he didn't call, or show up, I tried calling him NUMEROUS times. He wouldn't pick up the phone. I left many, many messages. He wouldn't return my calls.
Perhaps I'm wrong, but Marc doesn't seem to be able to internalize the idea that people have businesses to run, and promising to take care of a problem that seems to possibly be due to lack of conscientious on his ""apprentice's"" part, then presumably hiding from the alleged mess he made, isn't a good business strategy, since it automatically foments contempt from his customers who don't run or understand the childish business practices to which I've apparently been subjected.
Maybe he went on a secret vacation. Maybe he has Alzheimer's. Maybe he died, and his company employee's don't have the heart to break the news to me.
Or, maybe he's an unprofessional, dysfunctional man-child with no business discipline, and can only manifest the vague regard a self-involved teenager might have for people he feels presents problems for him. That is, maybe he's just a strange jerk.
I could be wrong in all this, but by opinion seems to be leaning on the last choice.

Mark came out, tightened apart on my shower, was supposed to come back when a part was ordered as well as reattach my shower fixture. I paid him $150 and it is going on 2 months now with no response. I have called and left 4 voicemails. My dad called and left 3 voicemails. NO RESPONSE.
Had I known about his lack of integrity I would have not hired him to begin with.

Marc and his apprentice were excellent!
Replaced the garbage disposal and cleared out blockage in the pipes under our kitchen sink! Was on time, and was very personable and professional. Would recommend House Calls to anyone! Thank you Marc!

House Calls is a fast, professional service. I called to make an appointment in the evening and got my appointment first thing the next morning. The staff was friendly and professional. They explained the problem and explained my options. The pricing is very fair. I'm very happy with this service and definitely recommend them.

Best plumbers ever!! Just awesome...very friendly, honest, professional. They repaired our stinky rotted-out pipe immediately and for a great price. It's been a couple months (I'm a little late writing this review) and there have been no issues. I will recommend them to anyone who needs an honest and skilled plumber.

Because of roots in the cities pipes we have to get our main line snacked about once a year. Mark and his guys are great! They always come out the same day with two trucks, do a great job and have no problem with sending a bill to the HOA instead of being paid on-the-spot. Although the biggest thing for me personally is that they are friendly, polite, have manners, and most of all I feel safe being around them and having them in my home! I'm a single woman that until a week ago lived alone, which can be frightening when you need to have something fix. Ladies call these guys!!!! I trust them!

A business usually needs to be super stellar or incredibly terrible in order to provoke me to write a review. In this case, House Calls was absolutely a godsend. Because of them, we now have working drains and no more stinky sewer smells. It's nice, especially when a lot of the problems didn't surface until after moving into a remodeled home.

House Calls is fast in response time and are very solutions oriented unlike some other plumbers we had dealt with in the past. We won't hesitate in calling House Calls again for any plumbing issues.

We used House Call at the recommendation of our realtor to camera our line to the sewer. They found roots in the line. When we purchased the house we gave them a call back to clear out the lines. About 10 days later we had a back up in the line. Gave Marc a call and his response was ""I'll be right over"". He warranties his work which is cool. Great guys, always on time and honest. I was initially referred by a close friend when I was having drainage issues in our bathroom. The first time we used House Calls Plumbing, I was incredibly impressed with the promptness and completeness with which the plumbers did their job clearing out the tree roots from our main line. Since then, we have used them for several different plumbing issues, including fixing a pipe leak under our house, replacing our water heater and installing our new bathroom sink. Each time we've used their services, they have been nothing but friendly, clearly explained the problem and the solution, and always left the work area clean.

Not impressed, needed a main line cleared on a Sunday, they came out and cleared the line....2 days later is was stopped again. I went to the apartment building that they said they cleared and there was filth all over our new stucco where the machine spun and flung debris everywhere, it left permanent stains on the stucco and cement, cost was $375. I asked why the charge was so high and the person got an attitude.

I called the company and asked them to come back out and they did not return my call. I would never EVER, EVER recommend this company. No customer service follow up, rude and left a mess.

I called a different plumbing company, Harry's Rooter - who came out and did a 4 "" clean out to the city property, camera'd the line and sent it to me digitally for $160.
They not only sprayed the cement with water before they also laid a tarp and hosed the area after. i would recommend Harry's Rooter, I have used them again several times and they are a smaller unit with excellent integrity.

A. The mess was NOT left by the previous plumber.
B. If you HAD called back we would not have had to reach out to an additional plumber
C. I am NOT confused with your business, your invoice clearly states who you are and what was supposed to be done. Perhaps you should check your own invoices.

Trying to ""SPIN"" a bad review and say I am confused with another company is not my idea of good customer service either.
