I had a intellihot tankless water heater that kept having an error code. They were one of the few companies familiar with the brand and came out the next day to check it out. They arrive early started working with the intellihot customer service rep. They were able to narrow down the problem and order parts. They let me know when the parts came in and scheduled a time to come out and install the parts. They arrived early and went right to work. I now have consistent hot water. They are the company I will call for any repairs I might need on my intellihot system.

We have a Rheem hot water heater which may need a thermostat replacement. Rheem listed Hot Water Now on the Rheem service web site. The How Water Now technician said he knew nothing about Rheem hot water heaters. He performed no diagnostics, talked on phone with someone about the error message, and gave me no information regarding the problem. For $129 his recommendation was a $4500 installation of an AO Smith water heater. This was worthless to me. I'll ask for an experienced Rheem repair person next time. The replacement part is $217.

We had them replace our tankless water heater after our previous unit stopped working on 11/16/22. We were charged a flat $6000 for replacement with a new unit. We requested that they install a controller, since the water heater unit is located in our crawlspace and our old unit had one in our main living space. They offered us a new controller unit for $250 or a used unit for $125 (charged as a $125 system ""diagnosis"") and we did the install ourselves.

After we had a moment to consider what we had just paid, my husband and I reached out to request an invoice with breakdown of service and parts costs. We received the following response: ""I sent over your paid invoice hope that works it is hard for us to break it down because this includes labor material etc. and that was all included in that price. Please let us know if you need anything else."" My husband replied with ""Thank you for sending the full invoice over. We appreciated the work and service. After all the work was completed we were curious about the break-down of parts and labor (cost of unit and parts vs labor). This is one of our first major appliances to go out and after spending 6k we would just like an itemized invoice for our records.""

We didn't receive any reply, so my husband followed up 2.5 weeks later: ""I realize I reached out just before Thanksgiving, just wanted to bring this to your attention to see what we can do to get a breakdown of the work done."" He copied the owner and didn't hear anything back.

This morning, 3 weeks after that original service, I sent the following and am awaiting a response.
""Hi Keith (owner)-
I've removed Allysia from this thread because her customer service has been subpar at best. My complaint isn't about the actual on-site service we received. Your technicians did fine work even if I don't understand why 5 of them showed up and only 2 of them actually worked on the installation. The first technician arrived at 1:28 pm. The second vehicle with 2 technicians came at 2:35. The final vehicle showed up around 3 pm and everyone was packing up to leave by 4 pm.
Can you honestly not break out an invoice by labor and parts costs? We used your company's services because you're who the previous homeowner used, but I wish I had researched recent reviews because it looks like we're not the first customers to encounter poor customer service in recent years.
It appears that the average cost for the unit we now have plus installation is less than $3500. Your team replaced an existing tankless unit and swapped out the venting already in the wall, which they said would be the most expensive part of the install. They didn't even install the controller, but instead charged us an additional $125 (billed separately as a system ""diagnosis"") and dropped off a used controller unit a few days later.
I wish I had taken a moment to research other installers in the area because your flat pricing at $6000 for tankless unit replacement is absurd.
You already have our money, so I know there's nothing we can do about that. I would at least appreciate further explanation for how you calculated your pricing.""

DO NOT USE this "" company"" period. A 300.00 disaster service call plus 200.00 in parts. Out 500.00 and had to replace tank-less hot water heater after at another 1000.00 expense. Service tech had to face-time another tech while on site because he had no idea what he was doing or looking at to fix. Tech was even hung up upon by the Noritz tech operator due to his poor attitude. Please use an alternative company when you have hot water heater problems or needs. You will regret using this company !!!!!!!

we have a tankless hot water heater that kept shutting down. We could reboot it and it would work for a day then shut down again. We looked for a plumber that knows about tankless heaters and this company bragged about being the expert. We hired them to help. The guy that came out didn't really seem to know much about tankless heaters from the get go. He checked it out and said that the water pressure going into the unit was way too high and causing problems. He also said that we need to replace the tankless, as it was ""worn out"". The tankless was only 6 years old and they last 20 years. The tankless has a tank style water heater before it to preheat the water and there is no way the water pressure could be as high as he said because it has a built in pressure release valve just for this reason. Water would have been spraying out of the pressure release tube. Nothing was coming out. They wanted $6000 for a new tankless and $1000 to install a pressure valve. The tankless units are $1100 and take about a half day to install. The pressure valve you can buy with sharkbytes for $50 and they take about 5 minutes to install. We told them no thanks. We called Rheem and spoke with their tech support team. They were great and help you troubleshoot over the phone. We replaced the thermal cut out switch (takes about 15 seconds and $30) and we haven't had a problem since. Obviously never needed the adjustable pressure valve. They were trying to make $6000 profit for a days work!!

Is this a company of professional plumbers, or salespeople who know how to make a profit? I hired Hot Water Now! for 2 projects in 2021. Never again.

Install a new kitchen sink faucet = Hot Water Now! subcontracted this job to a guy with plumbing experience, who wanted to be paid in cash.

Install a new electrical hot water heater = I agreed to purchase a specific brand/ size of electric hot water heater, then Keith and the How Water Now! staff installed a different brand, different size. After I complained, they claimed that they thought I would appreciate receiving a more expensive appliance. I wonder if it were left over from another job, and realized they could dump it on me? To his credit, Keith gave me a discount on the water heater to make up for my concern.

We engaged with this company upon purchasing a home that had a tankless water heater. The water was taking several minutes to get hot in our upstairs fixtures and HWN recommended servicing our unit. We did so and saw negligible improvements. They then said that the system we have is too small for the size of our home and they recommended a top of the line Rinnai model that they said was the ""cadillac"" of water heaters and that it should be able to push hot water to all of our fixtures without issue. Well, after spending $6,000 with HWN to install the new unit, we have seen nothing but system shut downs, errors, constant cold spikes and no real improvement in the time to get hot water from our fixtures going on 2 years now. We have done each annual service to the unit as recommended by the manufacturer with essentially no improvement in performance.

I called the company and told them that they needed to make this right, and even mentioned that we will be willing to install an additional circulation unit in our master bath. The owner, Keith, came out and worked on our unit for a while, opened a support ticket with Rinnai, and said he would have another tech come out to reconfigure the unit. The other tech arrived and did something to the unit, but in the process failed to set our circulation timer which means we actually saw worse performance than before they arrived. Keith assured me that he had the support ticket open with the manufacturer and that he would put together a plan for our upstairs fixtures to improve the time it takes to get hot water to that space. That was on 1/29 and I haven't heard a word back since. I've called each day and the phone goes right to VM. I have left multiple messages with no call back.

Bottom line, we have spent around $7500 with this company over the course of 4+ years and have literally nothing to show for it. Do not look to them for intelligent recommendations, fixes to your hot water problems or really anything at all unless you want to get sold on expensive units that don't work as advertised by the company. The lack of professionalism, competence, integrity and general customer service at Hot Water Now is really something to behold. Go elsewhere...we certainly will from now on.

They charged $50 extra due to our location to get our tankless water heater serviced. The first time they came the pump didn't work so we had to reschedule and had to reschedule again because of the snow storm. Finally got it serviced and paid the full $250. The water heater is having issues after the service. It's getting hot and cold and hot again. This was addressed at the initial appointment but it was minor issue. After the service appointment it has gotten noticeably worst. They want to charge me extra $175 to come and ""diagnose"" the issue. What a rip off of a company. Do not use, find a real expert and a professional.

You should read this before choosing Hot Water Now.

I read all the reviews here and elsewhere before getting an estimate and choosing them. The price for the tankless install was where I expected - at $4500. So, based on them being the ""leader"" in tankless installs in CO, and all the positive reviews, I went ahead.

Immediately, I had an issue. When I checked to make sure they were going to pull a permit for the work, all of a sudden that's not included in the $4500. Side note- installing any appliance that connects to natural gas requires a permit and inspection for the work... So, after days of waiting I finally talked to the Boss, Keith, and he said ""oh it's no problem, just would be $150 dollars more for the cost of the permit. Okay, NP, so I thought.

When they installed it (I know this now after what has been 2 months of trying to get them to permit the work) they didn't do a load calculation of how many BTUs could be handled by all of the current gas appliances and the added water heater. They also connected the water heater to a gas pipe that wasn't up to code. When they were finishing, the tech had trouble getting the controller setup, so he called Rinnai, and the person on the phone (it was on speaker) said ""Oh, that [model] is so old, why did you choose to use that"" and then had to look up the info because he didn't know how to program it, and neither did Hot Water Now. The price also became $4900.

Due to another issue, I had to have another company come out and replace gas lines - including where they hooked the water heater. This set off what has been 2 months of trying to get them to do a load calculation, get a correct permit, and get this done. My gas has been shut off by the gas company twice since they did their work. I've already paid them (money due at installation) and they have no motivation to resolve this. I call and leave messages for Keith - doesn't answer nor return the calls.

Finally, I talk with an office person there, tell her my patience has run out. What happens? They submit ANOTHER bad permit application that won't pass because they have again ignored the natural gas load on our service.

Something is wrong here. I live a mile away from them. If they're the leading tankless installer, they shouldn't be making deals with people to install unpermitted gas appliances. They should also be experts in the permit process.

Do not be fooled by the somewhat lower estimate. Unfortunately, this has turned into a get-what-you-pay-for experience.

Spend another few hundred dollars and go with a company that will do it right.
