Horrible experience. Took 3 visits and almost $700 to tune up my system for winter. I have a heat pump with oil backup. First tech claimed I needed a $400 part. He ended up being fired. Second tech told me my AC ran whenever the oil heat was on. Proceeded to tell me my Nest thermostat wont work with a dual fuel (heat pump with oil backup) system and tried to sell me a $1600 thermostat. Third tech came and said thermostat was correctly setup and the system is working properly. Two days off from work, a late Saturday appointment and ~$700 for this. Terrible service.
very poor customer service. They are not concerned about getting the job done right or customer satisfaction. They are only worried about getting paid after the service call, whether the service call solved the proble. they don't care. They just want their payment. Stay away from this company if you can. The system we have was poorly installed by them and when asked to fix it, it was poorly done. The problem was never solved and they didn't care. Stay away from this company.
My AC temperature was not dropping. I chose Horizon because their reviews seems to be positive on Google. They were here in no time, did a quick diagnosis and decided that my contractor was bad, they replaced it. my temperature however never dropped below 70 degrees, just cooled a little better. They wanted to charge $420, I talked them down to $382. there was a $50 discount that I never heard anything about from the technician, so I assumed that was the discount, though less. I asked for an itemized bill to get an idea of what the part cost, they said that's not something they do... they transferred me and said they would call back, they need did. I researched the part and realized that it ranged between $10 and $40.Now out a few hundred dollars and 3 weeks later during the heat wave my AC is not cooling again... this time they took four days to come out, and this time they can't affirmatively tell me what's wrong with my AC, they just gave me a number of suggestions which may or may not work. They left without a solution, and I realized that they didn't know what they were doing.

I'm highly disappointed with my recent AC service performed by Horizon Services. I took advantage of their $59 discounted deal in April. The technician rushed through the job in 15-20 minutes. He cleaned the condenser, looked into the attic air handler and took a few pictures, and gave me a brief report and was done. He didn't even change the air filter, which is supposed to be an important part of an AC tune-up.
I spoke to a manager in Horizon over this. He said he would offer me a full refund if I had paid, which I hadn't and wasn't interested in. I had another company service my AC properly in the meantime.
Horizon then sent me an invoice for $59, invoice #4199365. I contacted them via email to request to cancel the invoice, but received no response. I attempted to reach them by phone but was unable to get through.
I have previously used Horizon Services with quite positive experience, but this recent experience suggests a significant decline in quality and customer service. Given the rushed work, lack of communication, and attempt to charge me after stating that they would not, I will not be using them again.
These guys will block your driveway while on a service call and then not respond when dispatch asks them to move.
horrible beware! We had an HVAC system installed 7 years ago. we are now finding out a final inspection was never done. We have tried 3 times to schedule. no response. I called and a very rude man named Grant did not like my attitude when I was talking with him.......how would you feel living in a home with a gas furnace that never had a final inspection with the county????????????? This is unacceptable for a company. I spent 45 minutes on the phone only to be able old I was being rude....you would be rude too if you spent that much money on a gas furnace and find out the company didn't do he final inspection. ....Run the other direction....Beware!
A few months late to posting, but I highly recommend Horizon for your HVAC needs. Rob fixed our issue and was 100% transparent throughout the entire inspection process. A+ all around.
Their Annual Service For Heating is a Bait and Switch To Buy a NEW Heating System.
Be aware: Horizon use this maintenance service to scare you into replacing a good working heating system. The technician didn't didn't offer to vacuum out the dust, or ask about my insulation before he tried to convince me to replace my heating system. The technician was only interested in selling a the only heating system Horizon offers, which only last for 10 to 15 yrs, instead of systems that can last 20 or more years.
I recommend calling BGE or Washington Power, depending on the area you line in. Why? Because they will maintenance your system or fix it economically, instead of scaring you to buy a new system.

They scheduled the wrong people to come out to solve the problem with my furnace which they knew about when the appointment was made. I called in to speak to a manager the girl on the phone was RUDE and made it out like there are no managers you can talk to. The nasty girl on the phone said she will pass my message on to customer service and I might get a call back in 12 hours. I am still without heat as I got the same problem came up on my thermostat. I had them scheduled to straighten out an installation error that they made and I had problems since it was put in. Now I have to wait for someone else to come out and hopefully fix the problem.I had a bad service call from them after my system was put in and from that point I used BGE Home where I had a whole house contract and they discovered that when my furnace was installed they used the wrong size exhaust pipe. No wonder why I had headaches when the heat was on .CO2 leak from the 2"" pipe that was installed when the installation manual said it required 3""pipe due to the length and elbows in the pipe. I don't recommend this company at all. I should have spent the extra money and got my a/c heat furnace from BGE Home now Constellation Home.
