Couldn't speak more highly of Hophan Brothers. I woke the morning of New Year's Eve to find my heating was out. Called Hophan, they were here within an hour, polite, efficient, and got my heating running again for me. One very happy customer!

Do yourself a favor and never call them for services. Extremely overpriced, rude and not helpful. Came to my house for service, quoted $250 over what I was quoted just last week for the same exact job. Then tried to charge me $50 for a 15 second ""diagnostic."" If I could give negative stars I would. Never again, this company should not be in business.

Your search for a quality plumber ends here. Super Bowl Sunday, having guests over, and my water heater starts to leak. These guys were here at 8:30 AM with a new hot water heater, were consummately professional, clean (very important to me) and they didn't charge me out the wazoo for emergency plumbing service. I got their names from friends in Glenside, and I wouldn't recommend anyone else. Hophan Brothers is tops in my book.

They did great work with me on my bathroom reno over the summer and then I haven't had any issues with the work they did. They were all nice guys and knew what they were doing. They were in and out in one day, which is what I needed for my project. They were even flexible with their timeline based on my schedule as things took longer than expected on my end. They only get 4 out of 5 from me because of the business end of things, not plumbing ability. I would have really liked to see an itemized bill that broke down the EXACT cost of everything, materials, labor, disposal, etc.... This didn't happen and instead I was charged a flat rate based on the estimate I was given prior to the work. I think the job was less involved than the estimate was anticipating and the price should have been adjusted accordingly. It would have made me feel a little more confident in what I was paying for if it was written out properly. Like I said, the plumbing work was done well and completed quickly, so overall I would happily use them again. They might consider hiring someone to help with their business management.

These guys are amazing! Honest, reliable - a prime example of how a business should be run. Knowing very little about heating systems myself, they came by today to address a problem I thought could be major, and they took care of it in five minutes. The technicians could not have been more friendly and kind. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again and I will definitely be recommending them. Five stars!!!

I can't say enough about Hophan Brother's Plumbing. They are incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and thorough. My first experience was with them installing an outside waterline in my house. During my second experience they went above and beyond what a normal plumber would do. I was on my honeymoon in Hawaii during the epic ""Polar Vortex"" of January 2014 when one of the waterlines in my basement froze and burst. My neighbor turned off the water but they came out the very next morning and fixed everything quickly and completely all while being very understanding of my situation. Their service allowed me to relax and enjoy my honeymoon during a very stressful event.

For those that think they're expensive you're not thinking of everything plumbers have to contend with. Insurance, stock of parts, travel expenses. I found their prices to be more then fair, especially considering their expert level of service.

Missed a schedule appointment at our home in Glenside. When we called Bill Hophan he was extremely short & unprofessional. Stated he was on another job & when asked why he didn't call, became nasty. Never apologized. Hophan clearly has so much business that they don't value the time of potential customers. Won't be calling them again.
