Hired Hooper Plumbing based on friend's recommendation. The technicians arrived at the scheduled time and flushed the tankless water heater and adjusted the flow in the bathtub faucet. Charge was a reasonable $259.95.
Last week we hired them again to replace the bathtub faucet and a kitchen faucet. We purchased the faucets from Home Depot and had prepared both areas for easy access. The technicians arrived at the scheduled time, replaced both faucets and installed couple shutoff valves on the water feed lines at the bathtub faucet. Total time spent was 90 minutes. The bill arrived on Monday. It was $749.95. So please be aware that labor rate that Hooper Plumbing charges is just pennies short of $500/hr.

Not sure about the company but service truck 86 was driving very unsafe and putting many people at risk of a crash more than 3 times that I was just driving next to for about 5 minutes.

Hammer from Hooper came to my house mid August and cleaned out a difficult to access drain between two sinks in my master bath. I paid $700, but was happy my drains worked again. A month and a half later the drains backed up again. I called and confirmed multiple times that this was a warranty call and to send the same gentleman out Bc he was familiar with the drain he already worked. Hammer returned and charged be to clean those drain lines again telling me it's "hard to warranty work Bc you can never tell if someone has a lot if hair and is going to clog the drain quickly."

I have called and my fiancée have called multiple times to discuss why I was charged and no one has returned a single phone call. I would advise against using this company as they do not stand by their work or return phone calls. I have also shared with the neighborhood Facebook page that recommended them Bc this level of service is not acceptable.

Hooper is only as good as what they can get away with. My townhome complex used them for exterior repair work and they didn't even bother to pull permits with the City if University Park. They fixed the problem for the affected units but now other units that were fine are experiencing inside plumbing issues. They cut all the corners they can and only bandaid their fixes.

I cannot say enough amazing things about Hooper. They've replaced our hot water heater, replaced a leaky valve in our master shower, and just this morning came out to check on a leaking pipe. I already had another sprinkler company at the house since it turns out it was a sprinkler leak, and Hooper didn't charge me anything for the service call! Their customer service is outstanding and their prices are amazing and straight forward - I truly can't recommend them enough!

I really hate to write bad reviews, however, for this particular company, I will make an exception. There are several reasons for this review... Shotty workmanship, property destruction, deception, and bullying toward elders.

I live at a rent house and the property owner (really nice older gentlemen in his 80's) hired me to remodel the bathroom. When I got to the plumbing area of the remodel, I asked the homeowner if he knew of a plumber that he would recommend. He told me that Hooper plumbing did work at his church and did a good job, so they were hired to do the small plumbing job needed for the remodel. I was installing a fiberglass shower and needed the drain pipe in the floor moved.

Hooper plumbing came to the house and told me that they would be able to do the job in 1 afternoon and told me that it was "no big deal". So, we agreed to a time and set the date.

2 Guys showed up to my house and started the work. They had tools that didn't work and had to use mine, they took several breaks, left several times to "get supplies", and had no idea what they were doing. I had to show them how to do the basic job. They destroyed the floor in the wrong place trying to find the pipe, which made fixing the floor all that much harder. I had just finished hanging drywall, which they promptly destroyed. They dropped my new 750.00 shower pan and cracked it. Once the drain was relocated, they told me that they had other jobs to finish and LEFT A GIANT HOLE IN MY SLAB. Then they informed me that it was Friday and that they would not be returning until the following Tuesday.

They finally sent 2 more people out to finish the job the following week.

They sent the landlord a $2100 invoice. My landlord contacted them to inform them that the invoice they sent was totally unreasonable, and they bullied him into paying way more than the job was worth. I informed Hooper Plumbing that if he didn't make it right that I was going to leave a bad review and the owner told me that he didn't care. So here it is.

Avoid this company at all costs!

My family and I have had the good fortune of working with Hooper for a little over a decade now. Very polite, professional and responsive. Thank you again Hooper Plumbing & Air Conditioning for the years of such wonderful service!!!
