Honest Air Systems is a TRULY honest company. I highly recommend these guys. I'm quite the handy guy and I usually try to repair things myself, but when my A/C quit cooling I knew I had to call a professional. I setup a service call with a large company (Black Hills HVAC) that came out right away and quickly diagnosed my system as dead. The technician told us our outdoor compressor was shot and it would cost at least $2000 for that item alone. He then produced a laminated price list of all the other items that may need repairing and said it really wasn't worth spending money on the repairs; instead we should replace the whole system. He offered to come back and do an in-home air quality evaluation and quote for a new system, so we setup that appointment for a few days later. The cost of his diagnosis was around $80, but we were told we'd have that credited if we purchased a new unit with them.

As a homeowner, I know it's best to get a few estimates. I called two more companies and setup appointments for each to give us estimates on a new HVAC system. The first appointment was with Al from Honest Air Systems. He thought he was coming to quote a new system, but when he arrived I told him the problem I was having and before jumping to conclusions he ran a few diagnostics. Al was able to discover the problem in less than 15min and repaired it for the price of a service call (less than $150). He saved me THOUSANDS!

My system is 17 years old so I know I'm gonna need to replace it in the next few years, but Al suggested getting as much out of the existing system as possible before replacing it. That makes perfect, HONEST, sense! I will be calling Honest Air (Al) when the time comes for a new system. Thank you for living up to the name of the company!

Hired to replace ducting under my house. Replaced with dryer vent wrapped in insulation. Once we discovered this, we asked him to come fix. Instead he dismissed me as saying he provided me a great deal and that is totally acceptable work. Filing small claim to recoup $500 I paid.

It was a ripoff. When I talked to them on the phone I explained to them what this issue was and that the condensate line needs to be routed outside. They said no problem we will fix it for 169. I reiterated that they will come out and fix the issue for 169 and they said yes I am correct. The person came to my house looked at it and said I needed a condensate pump and that it will cost 300 but will need to do another day and for him driving out to tell me (took 5 minutes) what I knew, it was $169 diagnostic fee. If they were more transparent in the first place about the fee schedule I would have looked elsewhere that would give me a free estimate and diagnostic. There's nothing honest here with this company. I can't even get a call or email back when I tried to reach out to discuss this matter.

My heat pump stopped working and I called around to get a technician out. They surprisingly said they would send someone out the next day, everyone else was booked a week out. Now I see why! They were supposed to come at 2 and give me a call an hour prior. At 2:30 I called and told them no one showed up or called. I was told a tech would be calling me right away. Well... by 6pm I heard nothing. So I called back and said forget it I'll wait a week and have someone actually show up! I waisted my entire day waiting for them to show up or call and nothing.
