Had a great experience, from scheduling to the appointment. The tech, Chris, was on time and was able to diagnose, and for me, more importantly, clearly explain the issue. I was offered a couple of choices to fix it with likely outcomes and did not feel pressured. They are reasonably priced and I was left feeling that the diagnosis and solutions were truly representative of the issue and nothing more. Chris even stayed longer to explain solutions for cooling the media room that the builder did not design properly and would get hot with all the electronics and the projector running.
I was happy enough, I signed up for the annual maintenance.

This is difficult to write because I really liked the guys we dealt with during the process. Super nice, totally didn't mind these strangers invading my house all day when normally I don't even invite people I know over.
However, in our experience, their communication (and possibly time management) is seriously lacking.
My husband, who is low on leave at work, missed a couple hours to be at home today from 4:00pm - 7:00pm for a scheduled cleaning/checkup ~6 months after installation. He called Honest at 6:30pm to make sure someone was coming, was told he'd get a call back, then had to call again at 7:00pm when he hadn't heard from anyone.
A little after 7:00pm someone called saying no one was available tonight. My husband asked if we could make our next appointment around our schedule rather than theirs, but we have to wait to hear back tomorrow. At nearly 8:00pm the tech himself called saying he'd been busy and asked if we were still able to host him, which by then we weren't.
We experienced a similar situation months ago during their initial visits that I can't recall the specifics of, but it was this same sort of sitting around wondering, calling for info, someone showing up late. During installation the area around our attic access got a little beat up, but we didn't bring that up. Maybe they would have offered to fix it; the guys doing the installation were good about keeping my crappy carpet clean, ha. The old thermostat was also left hooked up for some reason, something that was supposed to be addressed today.
I don't expect perfection in businesses like this that can take more time than expected (I was one of those time sucks when they installed the unit; sorry, person scheduled after me :) ), but I certainly expect excellent communication from any business I patronize. Nowadays there's no excuse not to keep in contact with anyone in the whole wide world, much less a few miles away.
Being called *well after* a *huge* scheduled appointment window, only because you *called them first multiple times* is simply unacceptable. There's no less jerk-y way of saying that unfortunately.
I wouldn't go so far as to not recommend them because I did like them personally, and we've happily been freezing our @$$es off thanks to that new AC. I mean, I'm posting this before they've even performed the cleaning because I'd expect professionalism from them (sans aforementioned issues) even in the face of a somewhat unflattering review. But when you're missing work for nothing, time is literally money. There's just no way to recoup that, you know?

I called them on an hour notice. One of their trucks were down. Randy Mooney came out and he serviced our A.C. unit. He was honest and very knowledgeable. We put our house up on the market and the inspector came out and said our line was clogged. We had just spent over $1000 on the unit a few weeks ago. Randy came out and took a look again and within a few hours notice. He cleared it fast so we could continue the home selling process. I recommend Honest A.C. and Randy is a gem. Not many HVAC technicians know their stuff. Honest A.C. needs to value and keep this guy!!!

My experiences in dealing with this company have been satisfactory. From the questions and concerns I've had when calling the office staff Lynn, I hope I got her name right, and Kelly have been courteous and professional. I called them for service for a faulty transformer because my home warranty company would not fix it. Honest AC saved the day. Daniel was the service technician and showed up on time as scheduled. He replaced the transformer and did a routine maintenance. He explained to me that my compressor was running much higher in amps than it should. This AC unit was 20 years old. So, I finally decided I should replace it. On Tuesday, 9.19 Pete and Joe were the installers of my new AC unit and they did a great job. Very helpful and personable. Honest AC is a veteran owned and operated company. If you ever have any HVAC issues, look no further! They're all a great bunch of guys :) I've met quite a few people there. I hope I didn't miss anyone. Thank you so much!

We had a technician Rick come to our house to look at AC issue. He was very knowledgeable and patient in explaining everything we needed to know. He went above and beyond and said he would call our AC carrier to find out about warranty. we were very pleased with Rick and Honest company service. We would definitely recommend them to our friends.. There is always room for improvement hence 4.5 stars.

Above everything else, this place had quick and friendly service. My AC had been leaking water over the weekend, and I had called about 7 other places that either didn't pick up, or couln't get a technician out to me until the weekday. When I called a friendly person got me set up with a dispatcher and set a time. Normally with things like this (i.e. cable, plumbing, etc.) they give you a 4 hour range and will show up at the end, but my technician (Randy) actually was able to meet early, and had even offered to meet a day early if I wanted. The service was efficient, identified why the leak was happening and I was up and running again in just an hour or so. The whole time Randy was great at explaining things in laymen's terms, and was transparent about everything. I definitely felt that he had my best interest in mind.
The weekend service fee is about $95, which is all I ended up paying. For weekdays I think it's about $65 or so, but in either case the premium is well worth it as I've had other places charge me the fee plus labor. Worth the charge, and I felt that the priority was getting the unit back up and running.

My AC went out last night, submitted a request VIA Yelp and they called me this morning and scheduled a service call for the afternoon. I had troubleshot a lot of the common issues and even ordered a new capacitor on Amazon which was shipped same day delivery but hadn't arrived before tech showed up. I didn't have the tool to test the capacitor to confirm that was the issue but I had the service panel off and all they had to do was touch their multi-meter to the connectors and confirm that indeed the capacitor was bad. I told them a new one is being delivered today and I can replace it myself. I was kind of hoping that wasn't the issue so it wasn't such a waste of a service call. I appreciate they confirmed the problem was the capacitor but wish I would have called an AC company that offers free service calls so I didn't have to pay $59 for literally 10 seconds of work. It took longer to take my credit card info to charge me the service fee than it did to diagnose the issue. I was hoping they would offer to lower or waive the service fee since there was such little work needed on their part but I didn't ask. I am not mad though I agreed to the fee and they were friendly and diagnosed the issue and for that, I give a rating of A-OK. Thanks

Your long winded response to my review is exactly my complaint. You hear warranty and you just shut down. What you and your people fail to do is listen. I would have paid your company directly! You wouldn't have had to deal with my warranty company -- payment was not from the warranty company -- all you needed to do was fix the AC.
The same day, I found a good company to do the job and upon completing the work, they received $1,000 (from me) for the repairs which took about 1 hour. Choke on that one.

After calling a few other companies and quoted insane quotes I stumbled upon this company and happy I did. My 2 yr old AC had a hiccup- My technician was Chris and he solved the problem. Very nice young man! I would use this company again.

We called Honest Air Conditioning after realizing our A/C unit took longer than usual to cool the house. Got a quick appointment, and Randy came out to take a look. He was very professional and fixed the problem right away. Loved that he didn't try to up-sell us on anything. Fantastic service - we will definitely call them again (and ask for Randy) if we have any more problems!
