I called Honest Air on a Sunday morning because of their positive Yelp reviews. A friendly human being actually picked up the phone and made the appointment on the spot. I asked a few general questions about the water leaking from my indoor unit and he was nice enough to answer them. I also purchased the Yelp deal for $60 good for $99. He said that the tech would be here between 11-1 and they arrived at about 1215. They have email alerts that let you know that you're scheduled and when they are on their way. The tech was friendly, efficient and thorough. I never would have used them without the positive Yelp reviews and the deal offered and I couldn't be happier with the service and ease of working with them. I would definitely use them again.
Great experience! Same day service when other businesses were booked out for weeks, and they do evening appointments. The technician, Thomas, was courteous, friendly, and informative. He fixed the problem quickly and efficiently and the rate was very reasonable. I even received a follow up call to make sure I was satisfied.

Dave L.Wow, really fantastic service. Our home buyers requested that our HVAC be inspected so we called up Honest Air Conditioning. Henery showed up the same day (in fact, just a couple hours after I called) and took care of us for far less than I expected. He even replaced a fuse that I had blown out at no cost!
After the service, he took the time to go over the inspection report on our new home with me and point out several things that might need to be addressed as well as inform me of some things that we could do as homeowners.

Mario M.Upon finding out that the evaporator coil in my A/C system was leaking considerably, I was faced with two choices. Either replace the existing coil with the current refrigerant (R22), which will be phased out entirely in a few years, or upgrade to the new refrigerant (R410A) and replace both the coil and the compressor.
Ultimately, I chose Honest Air Conditioning because in addition to their consistently good Yelp reviews, competitive pricing, and broad service area, they were able to extend to me an excellent financing plan of 12mos, no interest, same as cash.
Honest's sales rep, Cody, came to my home, did a thorough inspection of the proposed project, explained all the pricing and brand options, as well as answered all my questions in detail. Just a smooth, flawless, and convincing experience with gathering an estimate from him.
Let me say first and foremost, although the test of time and proper maintenance will ultimately determine the quality of the work, the actual installation of the new equipment was performed neatly and from a layman's perspective, correctly. However, it bears mentioning that my interaction with the installation tech did not go as smoothly.
1) I was assured by Cody that the technician would call ahead of time on the installation day to verify if I'd be at home. I planned my morning around the proposed installation time of between 10:30-11a and had just finished showering when the tech showed up unannounced, knocking at my door. He had not called ahead and as a result I had to answer the door dripping wet, lol!
2) In my conversations with Cody about vacuuming and flushing the refrigerant line of the old R22, he reassured me that I'd be more than welcome to ask the tech any questions and was encouraged to watch him go through that aspect of the install. However, I did not get that impression at all from the tech himself, who seemed more inclined to perform the task without my presence.
3) This point in particular can be chalked up as the biggest reason that I can't give a 5-star review here. When the tech unhooked the compressor unit outside the house, I asked him if he planned on replacing the foam sleeve that covers the refrigerant line. I went so far as to offer him the substantial length of unused foam sleeve that I had purchased from a local A/C supply store earlier in the year, which was in my garage (the sleeve that was in place was one I put on myself to replace the cracked and decomposing one that the home builder put on in the first place). The technician reassured me that he had the supply in his truck and would replace it and "make it look really nice". Later on during the install, as he was prepping the lines to be welded onto the new compressor unit, I noticed that the old foam sleeve was still in place over the line. Taking into account his aversion to my questions and concerns, I refrained from asking him again about the sleeve and put faith in his earlier promise. After the technician finished the install and left my home (which I'll get into in just a minute), I decided to go outside and take a look at the work performed on the compressor unit. As I feared, the tech DID NOT replace the foam sleeve at all and only wrapped it in new tape, from top to bottom. In truth, he did not wrap the sleeve as close to the unit as possible, and left the line exposed where the foam was cut when I put it on earlier in the year. I came after the fact and added an additional single wrap of tape around the bottom of the sleeve so it would hug the line close near the weld.
4) Once the tech had finished the work and brought in the paperwork to sign, I did a quick once-over of the work area where the air handler closet is in my hallway. Although he did lay down a fabric tarp over his work area, he still managed to spill some type of adhesive epoxy on my laminate flooring. I got on my knees and managed to wipe it from the flooring with a bit of rubbing. The tech could clearly see me doing this, but said nothing in the form of apology or asked if he could help.
5) This is a personal preference, but I believe that any business relationship should begin and end with a handshake. After completing the paperwork, the tech took an incoming phone call on his cell and simply walked out the door without acknowledging me at all. Ironic, considering that's Honest's slogan - handshakes!
Let me end on a high note by saying that the following Monday I spoke directly with Cody who let me know that this tech in particular was new to the team and all my issues would be addressed with him. Cody also offered to have a tech come by the house and replace the foam sleeve (although it would end up requiring that it be cut, much in the same way I had to do before). If I can offer any advice to Honest A/C is that they make sure to put an equal emphasis on making sure their techs are as well trained in customer interaction as they are in the technical aspects of their job.
