My husband and I own 10 rentals and wanted to try out these guys. I'm very easy going. First they were 90 minutes late. I called and was told maybe another 90 minutes. Okay. Then another hour. Finally, can we come by tomorrow? Again late by about an hour. When I was told the cost-I felt not only were they unprofessional, but overpriced. I told the guy no thanks, you can go. Within one hour-seriously one hour-Stan's Discount Plumbing had arrived, done the job, and charged me $50 less per hour.

Outstanding service even on a Sunday. Woke up to no hot water! I looked on Yelp and found exactly why Hometown Plumbing has 5 stars. On time, fixed the problem in 45 min. Couldn't be happier. Highly recommend this business.

Called Sunday morning and they seemed like a nice mom-and-pop plumbing company working from their home. Monday I get a phone call saying he is going to check out the plumbing for the shower. He calls me back 2 minutes later saying he has to go under the house and what the bill cost is. The valve for the shower is no good either. Parts will be about $200 and labor will be about $1200. For a couple hours of labor. A total of $1385. He said that he isn't going under a house for less than $1300. $600 an hour is overinflated when hourly rates for plumbers are $75-85. He said he won deal with people feces for less than $1300. He has to hire a person to help him and going to be messy. On top of that he was unprofessional over the phone. As a plumber it is part of the job to deal with water, sewage, pipe rot, whatever issues may be. The cost of a job is determined by the time and materials for it. Not because one would have to go under a house to replace a pea trap. I will never call this company nor recommend this company to anyone.

Can't say enough good things about this company. Plumbing problems aren't usually ""scheduled"" the problem always occurs on a weekend or a holiday. Our problems are no exception! Recently we called hometown, our go to plumber for years, to our home Christmas Eve morning. Steven and his crew were here within an hour, had the problem diagnosed and the part ordered immediately. Although we had to wait longer than normal (holidays everything is closed) Brentt made sure to keep our hot water heater running as efficiently as possible until the new part arrived. He was here well after dark in the cold making sure we had hot water and even offered to make multiple visits to our home to rig our hot water heater so that it would not go out while we waited a few extra days for the part! THAT is customer service!!!

I'm out of town property owner & have used Hometown Plumbing several times past 4 years for tenant repairs. I selected them based on prior Yelp reviews. Steve, the owner has treated me very fairly & given me senior citizen discount. I called Friday at 3:15pm & left messages for service call needed. Chad took all the info, Steve, the owner called back & Gonzalo went next day to replace & repair shower tub valves and handles. He called when job completed & took my CC for payment! I will use them again for plumbing services in Bakersfield.

I had a sudden unexpected plumbing issue. I called hometown plumbing and to my surprise they set an appointment and came out the very next day. I wasn't able to be there in person only my wife to be left alone with the company. And her comments where nothing but great. They are very professional and they are local family business owned and operated. I felt great to know my wife can handle it. They are very reasonable and leave you feeling satisfied. They guarantee there work and want toj to hear from you if you Have any issues or concerns. Super happy and strongly recommend them for any plumbing needs.

I called Hometown plumbing this morning regarding a water heater that was leaking.
I spoke with Gonzalo by phone, and he assured me that he would arrive between 8:00-8-15.
Gonzalo arrived at 8:00 as promised and quickly discovered the problem. Gonzalo stated that he had to pick up a new water heater and parts , and would return at 12:00.
At 11: 20 Gonzalo arrived an immediately went to work on my water heater. During the installation I asked several questions regarding the new water heater , and he was courteous and respectful.
I definitely would recommend Hometown plumbing, and if your lucky enough to get Gonzalo you'll be satisfied with his honesty and work ethic!

A late night repair was needed, a copper pipe had a pin hole leak. The tech called me back immediately and let me know he could go out. He did explain it was a higher rate due to being late night and an emergency call out. After agreeing, he was out at the property with in 30 mins and had the problem fixed within the hour. I would definitely use them in the future again.
