I hired Hometown Plumbing because I realized I needed my shower/tub valve cut out and that's where I draw the line at my diy plumbing. Since I was going to have to hire a plumber I decided to have them install my new sink and dishwasher as well just so I knew it would be done correctly.

I called them and set up a time to have them give me an estimate and possibly do the work same day but they needed to get some parts so they came back first thing the next day. Everything was done quickly and he cleaned up after. Final cost was the same as the quote but there wasn't much left as a surprise since we had the wall demo'd out.

Since it was originally a diy project I did have a lot of the parts bought already. So my only note would be let him get the parts you need so they are under his warranty. But he was upfront that any parts he used that were purchased by me wouldn't be covered and I was ok with that as they were smaller parts.

Not sure how his prices compare to others because I needed the job done quickly but from the estimate it seemed fair with the labor involved. I would definitely hire and recommend them in the future!

The most unprofessional and rude plumbing company I've ever encountered. The only positive thing I can say is they got back with me quickly, however can not excuse the manner in which I was disrespectfully treated and rudely spoken to. The plumber attempted to make an appointment to come out without a price quote, but I requested to know pricing in advance. When he finally gave me his price, I mentioned I thought it seemed high. He then became very belligerent, cursing, swearing, and insulting me, and hung up abruptly slamming down the telephone.

John from Hometown came on time and spent few hours replacing our toilets and bathroom facets. Prices were reasonable. Reviewed the job after the work was done and offered to come back if any issues come up. Did a nice job, was polite and cleaned up. Took the old toilets with him to dispose of.
I would recommend Hometown plumbing if you need to have new plumbing fixtures added.

I've had my basement drain back up numerous times since buying this house 5 years ago and twice in the last year. I paid the plumbers, they snaked my drain and I even asked why this happened so often. They told me we must be using too much toilet paper or putting in other things that don't belong in the toilet and never mentioned the sewer line. I've owned 2 other homes and this never happened before. Since it kept happening, I wanted to try a different plumber and I saw the great reviews that Hometown Plumbing got so I called and John came out right away. He cleaned out my sewer line and even gave me tips on how to keep it from blocking up again. He was extremely courteous and the price was right. Since moving back to Michigan I've had to find reliable repair services for my car and home all over again, but had not found a plumber I could trust. I have one now.
