I've had my basement drain back up numerous times since buying this house 5 years ago and twice in the last year. I paid the plumbers, they snaked my drain and I even asked why this happened so often. They told me we must be using too much toilet paper or putting in other things that don't belong in the toilet and never mentioned the sewer line. I've owned 2 other homes and this never happened before. Since it kept happening, I wanted to try a different plumber and I saw the great reviews that Hometown Plumbing got so I called and John came out right away. He cleaned out my sewer line and even gave me tips on how to keep it from blocking up again. He was extremely courteous and the price was right. Since moving back to Michigan I've had to find reliable repair services for my car and home all over again, but had not found a plumber I could trust. I have one now.

From the beginning there was good communication. John came out to fix a leaking faucet in the tub that had became an issue. No Matter what we did it just kept leaking. It turned out to be a much bigger issue than anticipated but John walked us through what needed to happen and why. As a previous review posted he explained to us every step of the way. We have an older house so we come to expect these things when we run into issues. We highly recommend John and will be using him again in the future.

We had a backed up sanitary sewer line and John showed up within two hours of our call. Great service. Wore a mask. Explained everything that was being done and educated us on our home's plumbing. May have cost more than other competitors, but John was the only one who could come quickly, so we were willing to pay. His magnet will stay on our fridge for years to come and we will call again if we have any plumbing issues in the future. Highly recommend this company!

Predatory business practices
Fixed secondary, cosmetic issues but the reason for the call was ignored. Gave the impression all was good when clearly it wasn't.
This is a 6 member house hold, all sharing a shower in the Master bedroom

Apparently too busy to take on new business. Requested info, got a note saying they're closed until Monday and another note politely telling me to go elsewhere as they're ""too fast at their shop.""

I appreciate John coming right out he came with a mask he was on time very professional he looked at the job and was able to tell me right away what was wrong and within less than an hour he was able to complete the job I have everything fixed right away. I am rating him five stars!

John is awesome. He responded really quickly and came out as soon as he was able. We've been calling around to other plumbers and they either didn't answer or weren't able to come for at least 24-48 hours. John was here within 12 hours of us contacting him, he texted us when he was on his way here, and he got here exactly at the time that he said he would. He was very kind, respectful, and knowledgeable. He got to work right away and he was straight forward and honest. My husband and I had a great experience and would absolutely hire him again!
