I can NOT believe that I was charged 170$ for these rude people to tell me my furnace was clogged. they were here longer to write a bill then for walking down my stairs and removing 2 tiny screws and the smoke pipe. the guy was just fn rude. you all better do you homework before call Homestead.
Ive been in the construction field for over 40 years and I can tell you when you are at the mercy of a HVAC guy they ABSOLUTELY know it.. Beware!!
But for an 17$ part I fixed it myself for what they wanted 860$
for guys that have any knowledge with mechanical things, go on the computer and everything is there on youtube to figure it ALL out

Nope. Never again. Will not recommend. After contacting Homestead and paying for repair service - the HVAC guy said he could not replace the fuse because ""it was electrical issue""His visit was 5 minutes. Second call to electrician and another service visit -diagnosed and brought part with him- also 5 minutes but repaired. HVAC service person can't replace fuse???

Recently we had fiberglass insulation installed in the ceiling of our cellar by Alex from Homestead Comfort in Ellington CT. We were amazed with his efficiency and politeness and his ability to work around things we still had stored in the cellar that we thought we would have to move. I called Homestead after recommendation on my town forum. I wanted them to inspect our overproducing well that's been washing out our driveway. They did and gave me a really simple, cost effective option we can do on our own to help mitigate the issue a bit. They did that but also changed our water filter, inspected our softener system, tested our water and just over a week later called to review my water results and give advice or suggestions. They also emailed me my results. Not once did they try to sell me any products. Justin was so knowledgeable and very friendly. He made me feel at ease. I've had negative experience with other companies for our well locally in the past ... I'm so happy to know Homestead exists and we will use them for all our future well and water needs. Homestead has a loyal customer in us!

I made an appointment for a home energy audit, where they rate the efficiency of your house and seal things up and change out lightbulbs. They came out 3 years ago and I have upgraded some items and wanted an updated score, and thoughts on more updates I should do. They inspect the house to make sure it is safe and free from mold before beginning. The tech found an very small area in between the floor joists in the basement that he believed was asbestos (I don't even know if he is correct) and he refused to do any further inspection of the basement. With the recent storms and rain, the basement was the most important part to me, so I said ""ok, I want to cancel and why did you do a complete inspection last time?!""
I waited weeks for the appt, took a day off from work and gave them $50 for nothing. Never again.

Zero...oil delivery was contracted to start January 2019. They mistakenly filed my tank twice at the end of 2018. I asked them to match the price of my current contract or to take the oil out. They matched it but when I called in January for a delivery they declined to deliver. Although it was their mistake delivering the oil the two previous times, they said since I had them match the price they refused delivery. I paid a fee to guarantee so many gallons at a certain bnb price. So much for a contract, they wont follow through with.

Around 1AM on New Years Eve day our dog alerted us to a smell of hot electric motor coming through the heater vents. While my husband tried to isolate the problem (a failing furnace blower motor) I frantically called almost every HVAC company in the area. The temperature outside was -2 with the wind chill and our 150 year old home had already dropped to 56 degrees. Despite speaking to 7 different answering services, Homestead's on-call technician not only returned our call within minutes, but was the only company to call us back. In addition, Homestead's technician, Matt Minor, agreed to come and assess the problem immediately, even though it was 3:30AM and no one was sure it could ultimately be repaired the same day. Matt replaced the capacitor and magically heat returned. However, as he was walking out the door, the motor seized. Rather than tell us, ""See you in a few days...I tried..."", he not only attempted to use the ""rescue"" motor he had in the truck, but he drove all the way back to the shop to get a brand-new one of the correct voltage. Matt was even willing to bring back heaters if he couldn't repair the motor immediately. Despite almost 4 hours of work in the middle of the night, Matt persisted and by 8AM the furnace was working and heat had returned! My husband and I were TREMENDOUSLY impressed with Matt! To think we received this service and weren't previously Homestead customers. It is safe to say we will be Homestead customers for life!

Central wasn't working. Put a call in and spoke with Jen. She was very professional and told me someone would be here between 10:00-10:30. Brian and Jay came by, introduced themselves, looked at the problem, knew what needed to be done, and got right to work. Fortunately, it was an easy fix. I would highly recommend this company due to the professionalism all the way around. Nice group of people to work with, and felt they were honest and upfront right off the bat. I will definitely use them again!

Good company. The techs are very good. The office has to work on communications with each other promised one price for something then bill comes in mail and it is different. Plumbing is very expensive other companies are much cheaper.
