American Home Shield contracted with Homes by Jessica LLC to take care of an electrical problem. I wa SUPPOSED to receive a call today. Not only didn't they call, but when I called them it went straight to voice-mail with no business announcement, nothing. Silly me I drove over 2 hours BEFORE they were supposed to close. Doesn't appear to be a functioning business and now AHS wants to wait 48 hours to give them ""a chance"". Do you want to roll the dice?

I had a home warranty through American Home Shield. Worst experience of my life. Would not recommend American Home Shield to anyone. We bought a new home; sellers included a home warranty. Our Air Conditioner went out on us, so we filed a claim. Repair people told us that a new AC with an old furnace doesn't jive, so they both needed to be replaced. 2 months later, after going through 113-degree weather without an AC, we are finally getting it resolved. Be careful when working with AHS on your HVAC. They do not cover labor, or parts, just the unit itself. And then, they don't pay market value, they only pay dealer prices. So, we got a few quotes for what it would take to get them both replaced, quotes came in anywhere from $14,000-$16,000 from various contractors. Guess what AHS offered to pay us? $2800. Yep, because that is the cost of the AC/Furnace for a business to get. They don't pay for labor, or ducting, or anything that actually makes it work, they just pay for the unit itself. Very deceptive when they claim they cover HVAC when they are selling you the policy.

So, Homes By Jessica. Jessica did a great job of working with us through this whole process. She was very willing to help however she could. Only problem was, she said she was not big enough to handle the job and recommended me to take the buyout offer. If it wasn't for that, I would give her 5 full stars, as she was very willing to work with me and help out however she could. She called the warranty company several times for me trying to give them the diagnosis of my HVAC, which AHS seemed to lose every time she called. So disgusted with American Home Shield, I cannot say that enough. I would get different answers each time I called in. Literally, I called twice within a matter of 15 minutes, and got told once that they didn't have my claim, and that Jessica needed to call in (again) to give it to them, the next time I called in (15 min later) the lady I talked to said, ""oh yes, here it is right here"". I do not know how they stay in business.

Anyway, Homes By Jessica put in the extra effort to help me contact the warranty company several times. The repair technician who came to the house was friendly and very workable.

This company...where do I even start. Okay first off, if you enjoy extremely unprofessional and rude workers while you're in a time of need, pick this company! They have no care or desire to feel any remorse towards you, even if you are stuck in a home with a broken ac unit in the hottest time of the year. They ended up sending, after a two weeks, the worst person I have ever encountered who is supposedly ""professional"". Answers calls rudely. Shows up 2 hours late saying it's on his time and showed up in a sketchy truck with no company logo. Walks in when I open the door demanding me to show him what's wrong in the rudest way. Not even a hello my name is...so and so. The whole time he is complaining and making me feel like the dumbest person for not knowing all there is to know about his line of work. He never said anything positive not even about his own boss. Like why do I, as a customer, need to hear this?! Goes on and on ranting about how his boss is a woman and she doesn't know anything and he has to be the one to take initiative in making her decisions. Yeah, one of those employees. His name is Jim for all of you that need to be aware and is the hvac maintenance guy Truly the most disgusting and most disrespectful human I have ever encountered through a company. I really hope who ever is running this company takes initiative on doing the right thing and choosing a different line of work. No pride in what they do whatsoever. Such a joke this company is. Save your time because they don't care about yours.

We were sent to go through homes by Jessica through our home warranty to fix our AC unit. It has been an ongoing battle and absolute nightmare with her and her maintenance crew. My mother is deaf and she was horrifyingly discriminated against to the point of tears and was told she didn't need an interpreter and hung up on by Jessica. Also ""people like that can read lips"" by maintenance. They told us information and wrote claims that are false and are absolutely no help and take no accountability for their actions and words. The company has treated us with disgusting disrespect from the moment I got a call back from the maintenance guy Jim. The moment he stepped in our door there was no hello only ""show me where the furnace is"" it was complaints about how old the system is and how he has the freedom to say what he wants, completely belittling my mother as a homeowner. He clearly doesn't know what he's doing or doesn't want to do it. Never go through this company, you will regret every second, as they and waste weeks of your time for no solution.

If I could give a rating of zero I would. They are one of the most unprofessional contractors I have dealt with. My home warranty dispatched them and while they did come out timely, they did not seem fully prepared to perform the work. Also, they took several days to file the paperwork with my home warranty. Their diagnosis was that they could not fix my AC unit and that the AC unit needed to be replaced. However, when they did finally submit the paperwork, they stated the service was complete and they filed it as a heat pump repair instead of an AC diagnosis. My AC was NOT fixed, therefore not complete and certainly was NOT the heat pump. After 2+ weeks they are still unresponsive to my home warranty's requests to clear up the issues. Beware and avoid them at all costs. If you have a home warranty have them blocked from servicing your property...they are a nightmare.

My home warranty sent homes by Jessica out to fix my AC. First off the guy shows up at my house unannounced, and gets irritated that I'm at work and not at home when no appointment was made. Then when he shows up when I'm at home he has no tools or gauges or anything . Rants and raves about the old lines and how my neighbors ac unit is garbage for 30 minutes. Barely looks at my equipment then writes a report to fidelity that there is nothing wrong with my unit! It's 115 out and my ac unit is not working! I would never recommend them for anything at all! Truly incompetent.
