I realized Saturday morning that my water heater wasn't working so I called my home warranty company. The rep told me they had assigned my claim to Home Warranty Plumbing and that they would contact me by the end of the next business day. I wasn't quite sure what a ""business day"" is in the plumbing world but I did receive a call on Sunday to let me know they would be out between 2 and 6 on Monday and they would call when they were on the way. True to their word I received a call about 2:45 that the plumber would be there in about 15 minutes. He arrived about 15 minutes later. He looked at my water heater and determined that the heating coil was old and was causing the pilot to go out (fortunately my water heater shuts off the gas to the pilot in this event). He then replaced the part and informed me that it will take about an hour for the water to get hot.

This company has had other names with bad reviews on them also. They have terrible customer service and do not tell the truth. I have been with out hot water for 5 days and they said they would call my home warrenty first thing monday morning and when I called the home warranty he said the call stamp was at 5pm and they gave immediate approval. I called these guys and they said they couldnt do it today or tomorrow and I would have to wait till Wednesday becaise they did not have evough help. They get all this business from the home warranty people and do not care at all about customer service

Home warranty plans sounds like such a great idea when you buy a home until you realize they scrape the bottom of the contractor barrel. Such plumbing barrel scum was found when I was assigned Home Warranty Plumbing to come and fix a gas leak in December of last year. It two weeks to sort out a simple gas leak in our house due to people not showing up to appointments and having to reschedule and then showing up and not being able to do the job because they didn't bring the 'right tools'. Gas=heat in my house and it was a long two weeks sleeping in ski gear.
Unfortunately I was assigned them again on a subsequent claim and I thought to myself, 'They can't possibly mess this up again.' Silly and foolish I was. They never showed up at the appointment and when I called, they said they tried to call but no one picked up. I received no phone call and no voice message and I explained this to them, but they insisted that they ALWAYS leave messages and blamed it on me. Then they said they couldn't reschedule for another 24 hours.
Seriously, save yourself the grief. Terrible company run by aforementioned barrel scum.
