Hello, I'm Richard, owner and co-founder of Home Therapist Cooling, Heating, and Plumbing. My dad and I launched this company in the year 2017 with a clear goal: to deliver the Tampa Bay area with trustworthy, exceptional service. Having roots in Cuba, my family came to Tampa in 2012. During my studies English, and achieving my Associate degree at HCC, I partnered with my father, absorbing information about HVAC. In 2016, I achieved my aspiration of being a qualified HVAC contractor, and the following year, we launched our family-owned company.
From that point on, Home Therapist has developed continuously, because of our amazing clients and their referrals. We are proud in delivering genuine, consistent service to all our clients, which has been our promise from day one. We'd love for you to join our network and experience the difference we bring to HVAC and plumbing offerings.

I'm military retiree who has travel around the world and this person is one of the most honest contractors I hired. Thank you!

I want to start off by saying this company or my experience with the company was not pleasant. The HVAC technician was not thorough with checking sources for the problem I was having with the ac unit. He would go in circles trying to explain what the problem was. Finally he told me it was the disconnect switch that was having problems but come to find out all that was needed to be complete was a little fluid that needed to be vacuumed out. The company tried to charge me $1100 in items that needed fixing and a disconnect switch that was 400 dollars in cost. Save yourselves the heartache from this company trying to break your pockets. Richard the owner was not nice and did not reimburse some of the cost at all. Had another tech out here who was straight up with me. Hire an experienced tech is my lesson learned from here on out. None of this information was relayed to me about my coils being frozen or anything? All he said was a cleaning nothing about coils are frozen plus I had another tech out there and he said the coils were fine. Not even frozen or anything. Total scam. Please anyone who thinks this company is saving you they are doing the opposite. Money hungry thieves

I did my due diligence, and called four different AC companies. For me, it was all about price, and A/C Therapist came in WAY below (close to 20%) what the others were quoting, so I set an appointment. They were here within 15 minutes of the scheduled time, and went right to work. It took a few hours, but when they were done, I was super pleased with the work performed. They even had to remove a fence panel to get the new unit in, and did not hesitate (at no additional cost). What really impressed me was the follow up. 5 months later, they let me know they were headed out for a tune up (no cost as I pay $19 a month for continued maintenance), showed up on time, and made no attempts to """"add on"""" beyond what the contract called for. My one concern? Not one of the three workers spoke passable English, so I had to communicate with lots of hand signals. I would like at least ONE to speak English.

Had a service call today to do multiple work on the air handler and unit outside. the tech was here from 9am to 2pm. when the tech left he said everything was done and should be working correctly. Mind you, the unit was working just fine prior to them coming out. About an hour later we noticed it wasn't cooling off and the temp was up to 82 in the house. we called the company and told them what was going on, that the unit wasn't working and it's putting out hot air now. They said they would have someone out tomorrow between 3 and 6. We told them that was unacceptable and the unit was working before the tech started working on it and they need toncome back out and fix their mistake. They said they are not sending anyone out today. This was at 4pm and the temp had gotten up to 85. They said the best they can do is tomorrow between 9am and 12pm now. We asked to speak to the manager and or owner and we were told the manager clocks off at 4 and doesn't do anything after hours. So now we have to wait until tomorrow to have air condition because the tech decided to just leave and not finish the job and or check the system before they left. So..... they came out, broke a system that was working just fine, and refused to come out and fix their mistake. Highly recommend finding someone else. It is now 87 degrees in the house with all the windows open.

Check out this HVAC Technician I found on Thumbtack: https://www.thumbtack.com/fl/tampa/central-air-conditioning-installatioc-therapist/service/306089160557306060?referrer_pk=490369470682251273&utm_medium=ios Amazing! Called us directly with the issue and how to fix it! Highly recommend!!

I had an issue with the AC blower that would not shut off. I also had the wrong thermostat for my setup. They fixed all issues at a great price. I couldn't be happier! Great AC company and very friendly techs. I recommend 100%!

With the company AC Therapist, Tampa I was totally satisfied, they did a great job, came on time, I would recommend them again, since I live in Switzerland, they helped me a lot to find the reason, AC blower was not working, and fixed it.

The one good thing about Richard morales the owner is he is responsive by email. I had an AC system that's about 5 years old. It was taking longer to cool so most likely drain line right? The company was requested through thumbtack and they were able to come the next day. The tune up costs $69. Now that it's said I requested a tune up on my AC system which should include cleaning a condensate line on a system. Here is the receipt Tune Ups - AC Tune Up $69.00 An A/C tune-up keeps your air conditioning system in good working order. It includes: * Inspect and sanitize the evaporator coil * Inspect and sanitize condenser coil * Inspect and flush the system's drain line * Inspect coolant levels & pressure * Check & adjust the thermostat * Inspect wiring, contacts, capacitors & relays * Inspect outdoor disconnect * Inspect condenser fan motor & blades * Inspect compressor at startup * Filter replacement included on every visit when provided by the client or at an extra cost depending on size and quantity. When completed you will receive a recommendation for any further maintenance or repair needs of your system. ** This awesome deal of a Tune-Up is directed for those units that are well kept. If the system is too dirty or in bad shape, we will recommend a more in-depth Tune-up at a higher cost. We would let you know before doing anything. The guy who did the tune up was not Richard morales who is licensed to conduct hvac service. The technician kevin must have been new because it took a while for him to supposedly do the tune up. It also took a while to """"figure out"""" what was the issue. We got this estimate after the supposed time up. System repair Lv.2 - TXV/Piston replacement TXV/ Piston replacement: - Pump down the remaining gas to the condenser. - Disconnect old and install new TXV/Piston (cost of the part not included in price). - Solder and check for leaks (if needed) - System vacuumed. - Add gas and needed (Cost of gas not included in price) System repair Lv.2 - Filter dryer replacement New Filter Dryer for condenser unit: - Pump down the gas back to the condenser unit (if any is left) - Replace Dryer Filter. - Solder and check for leaks. - Vacuum the system. - Add gas as necessary (Cost not included in this price) System repair Lv.2 - Add R410A to system R410A added to the system * This amount is an estimate, the real amount will only be shown after the job is finished. ** Adding over 2 pounds of freon, could indicate that the system has a leak. Be aware that this issue needs to be addressed or the gas will leak eventually. An hour after he left the ac no longer cools. I asked the owner to fix the issue they caused. He said I was trying to trick him into doing the maintenance they claimed. Document document document with this guy. His email """"I was there on the phone with my technician while he was doing the diagnosis. I have the habit of checking in every call that my guys do and when it gets tricky like this, they call me. The description I just gave you is what I remember from my conversation with Kavin. I have been on this field for a few years, and I have created a process to protect us against claims like this. You are not the first client nor the last one I suppose. A bad review is not going to get me to fix the issue that you are trying to trick into . My technician and I are clear in what we did. I wish the next contractor good luck. """" So guess what I put some vinegar down the drain line and 30 minutes later cooling back to normal. I don't trust this company.

Thank you for a prompt response and excellent service. Home Therapist went above and beyond to address a plumbing/ septic issue at our 93 yr old mom's home . They adjusted their schedules to be able to get the project done in completion the following day. The plumbers were very patient and respectful with Mom and she's very happy with the results! Communication was excellent and we consider the experience was of great value from start to finish . Thank you so much for your help. We would definitely call Home Therapist again!

This company is incredible. I needed my AC tuned up last year. The common is reliable, completed the work in a professional and swift manner. I did sign up for the elite maintenance plan. I rec'd a years supply of special order filters 2/2 to the size of my intake vent. I also had a UV sanitation light installed. I highly recommend this company.
