Terrible experience with Home-Tech. Dave came to our home to repair a refrigerator icemaker and a dishwasher. It cost me $137 to be told that it would cost between $400-$500 each to repair the appliances. Not sure how he came up with the number for the dishwasher as he was unable to run it. I got nervous and went with another company who told me that the dishwasher was beyond repairing and fixed the ice-maker for $234.00. I received a phone call from the office asking how I liked their service. Yikes! Not only did I not get any """"service"""" it cost me $137 for the experience.

We have been dealing with Home Tech for 13 years with a service contract and have always been very pleased with their response time and service. Yesterday we discovered our garbage disposal was leaking. I called at 11PM and left a message. At 8:00 they called me to ask if we would be home between 10 and noon today. I said we would be. At 9:45 the technician arrived. He replaced the disposal with a new one (covered under our contract) and was finished by 10! Very satisfied once again.

I want to say thank you to the office staff, Cory and manager and also sorry for the phone calls. I was so stressed about my AC system not working in my rental home. The part that needed to be replaced was on back order for a month and they were able to find a used part to install until the new part comes in. Crossing my fingers that it works but I'm still happy and thankful that they tried so hard to get my AC working again. Thank you!!!

I requested a service tech for dryer repair. The call service was quick to respond and the tech came out the same day. Unfortunately I feel that is where the quality of the service stopped. The tech was friendly, but also I felt he implored basic high pressure sales tactics to try to upsell the scope of the repair and the cost was well above market rates. He said he could not provide an exact quote because his office was closed and was unable to order the replacement parts he was suggesting. However, he exclaimed that if I delayed moving forward with the part replacement with him until the morning it would further delay the repair date. I felt I was being treated very dishonestly and being price gouged. I ended paying for a second opinion and the second company was able to fix the dryer with one replacement part and literally saved me hundreds of dollars.
