Once upon a time (last week), I met with Igor Belov, owner of Vanguard Home Solutions. He came to house and gave me an estimate for sanding and resealing my deck. I looked at product and color options, and he offered professional advice. I hired him. He said the work would take three days to complete and that his employee could start two days later, at 10:00am. Two days later at 10:00am, his employee showed up. The work took three days to complete. These pictures don't do the work justice. The deck looks fantastic.

To recap: Dependable, responsible, honest, professional, dependable guy said he would do something and he id it.

I just had Vanguard power-wash, repair and seal/paint my somewhat neglected deck and stairs. Igor was timely in responding to my initial inquiry, took an expert look at what needed to be done and gave me an estimate. I knew we would have to wait several weeks in the queue but that was fine - they showed up as promised and did a terrific job. Some boards in the deck and on the stairs were replaced, necessary reinforcement added, lichen scraped away, and careful, thorough painting. Very different from the last ""treatment"" in 2012. It's like a new deck.

I highly recommend Igor for any patio/deck resurfacing job you need to get done. First off, he was punctual, professional, and gave me an honest opinion on what needed to be done. Second, I appreciated the education he gave me in clarifying things that other contractors were trying to sell me but ultimately Igor didn't think they were necessary and actually ended up saving me money. Case in point, the guy I hired last year told me that my deck would require a power wash every 2 years and then staining. Igor, however, recommended a long lasting paint job so I don't have to worry about it every 2 years. It's refreshing to hear an honest professional opinion these days. I highly recommend Igor and will gladly hire him again if needed.

Highly recommended for natural wood cleaning and sealing. Igore is very knowledgeable. Immediately figured out what my 2 large decks need: sanding and sealing. He didn't suggest pressure wash, which is harmful for my type of wood, as other contractors did. Within few minutes he explained what to be done, how long it takes, and gave me an accurate estimate of the cost. Sure enough, Vladimir completed an excellent work within the exact specified time. He was very organized, committal, and careful taking off his shoes when entering the house keeping everything neat and clean. My neighbors noticed their good work and asked me for their contact info. Glad I found them and will definitely seek their service in the future!

Igor is terrific. He responded quickly to my Yelp inquiry for help re-staining our deck. He came out the same day to look at it for free and suggested that we re-stain it with solid stain rather than semi-transparent stain because it's an older deck (even though he could have charged much more had we gone with semi-transparent stain). He also suggested a color that we were initially skeptical about because we thought it was too dark, but he told us that based on his experience he was confident it would look lighter on the deck than on paper. He was right. He also was always quick to respond to my questions and quoted us a reasonable price. He and his colleague completed the work quickly and it looks great. We would definitely hire him again.

I was concerned that my rooftop deck was starting to deteriorate. After checking with several companies, I chose Vanguard Home Solutions.

Igor came out within a day to view the job. He was honest in stating that the deck was not in bad shape - it just needed a power washing and a new coat of stain. He provided me a fair written estimate and shortly after I accepted, he had Vladimir come out to do the work. Vladimir was very diligent and cautious. The work turned out great!

It's wonderful to know whom to call when I have to periodically maintain our decks.
