The reason for the three stars is first the issues with working with them and Select Warranty company seemed a little shady and unprofessional. The warranty company wouldn't replace my hot water heater after receiving two different written findings from Home Defense of why it went out. Select Warranty then said they couldn't reach Home Defense Plumbing but I was able to get them immediately. I tried to explain to Home Defense that there was some type of misunderstanding and I was rudely told that they don't have anything to do with denials. I've been with warranty companies for a long time, they can be difficult to work with but that situation was very suspicious. After being denied, I received 3 quotes from different plumbers, 2 with written quotes describing exactly what would be done and Home Defense with no quote after continuously asking. Home Defense came back with a fairly low amount therefore I went with them. They came out right away and fixed the hot water heater, I was very happy with the service and how quickly it was done. Again after several attempts, I was then able to get an invoice/receipt. A few days later my son started hearing a whispering noise, it appeared to be coming from the hot water heater. I as well start hearing it too. I called Home Defense Plumbing and Jesse came out right away. I turned on the water to let him hear it and he discovered that it was the PRV valve. The other Plumbers had quoted me with the valve included in replacing the hot water heater that's why the price was higher. However because Home Defense never gave me the quote, I didn't realize that wasn't included. The lesson I learned from that never let anyone proceed to do anything for you without a written quote and be careful when a company lack professionalism. However, the reason I'm at least giving 3 stars is because the guy and I'm sorry I can't remember his name, did a great job installing the Hot water heater and JESSE the guy who later came out to install the new PRV valve did a great job as well. I REALLY WANT TO SAY USE THEM but they will lose business on the lack of professionalism, which comes across shady. THANK YOU JESSEE FOR A JOB WELL DONE AND REALLY EXPLAINING THE PROCESS AND THANK YOU HOME DEFENSE PLUMBING FOR MAKING IT RIGHT IN THE END. THEY SEEM TO TRULY STAND BY THEIR WORK AS WELL, WHICH IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!! So in saying all of that, use them just make sure you know everything that's being done up front.

We had to call for a plumber today and Juan came out and did an outstanding job explaining what was causing our problem and getting right to work to fix it. He was very informative and efficient. Fixed it in no time and got us up and running. Thank you Juan!

Jesse came out to my house at 6:30pm. We had a gurgling sound coming from our toilet. I explained to Jesse that the previous week we had a sewer smell coming from the shower drain in another bathroom. Jesse said that because the two bathrooms were on opposite sides of the house, he didn't think the two issues were related. He was very knowledgeable and explained everything in detail. He didn't try to sell me something I didn't need as I kept asking about cleaning the sewer clean out. Jesse ended up just replacing the parts in the toilet. He didn't have the right parts on his truck so he went to Home Depot and bought the parts. I would definitely use their services again.

Really shady company. We woke up to our water turned off and this company's vehicle parked in our lot. The same truck was here yesterday and I watched someone with tools leave in said vehicle. No one had alerted us of the water turn off so we called the number on the vehicle, just to talk to someone incredibly rude. Not only is it not an office number but some random person's personal line, they denied anyone was on a service call here and HUNG UP ON US. Once we texted the number saying we were going to call the police on an unauthorized vehicle a plumber came out of a neighboring unit. He said he didn't understand why we were upset, he had """"let HOA know""""- then contradicted himself by saying that's this is impossible as the unit is vacated and nobody owns it. So how did this gentleman get in? He wasn't wearing any company branded clothing so there was no way of knowing how honest he was. Other tenants around us verified they were not told of the water shut off- and any other time water supply was going to be effected we got multiple physical and digital notices. This is incredibly concerning since small children and infants live here. This company made us feel unsafe and did not care to be honest about how they provide services. Glad I know now not to use this company for something in my personal unit.

After my Warranty company sent out 3 other plumbers, the 4th plumber they sent out was from Home Defense Plumbing. My problem was identified by the HPD plumber, but the warranty company refused to authorize the repair. The warranty company sent out another plumber from a different company and the issue was still left unresolved. I terminated my account with Choice Home Warranty and contacted HDP on my own and they did not rest until my bathroom was operable again. The dedication has won me as a ongoing customer
