I updated my review after 1.5 years of our ac installation. They actually ruined my 8 yo furnace! I was skeptical already with the guys that installed it actually. I heard them grunting and looked frustrated actually. Then our ac had a leak n stopped working after few months. The next technician came and fixed the leaking and it worked again. We're very happy with him so I gave a gud review. But apparently what he actually fixed basically just the symptoms. After 1.5 years my furnace stopped working completely. After few visits over 1 month the technician was confident that the AC were installed wrong (tilted) and caused leaking. He fixed the tilted pipe and I appreciated this. But the damage was done! They came back to us saying we needed to change our heat exchanger and was ready to charge us around $2500 for the damage they did and tried to conceal this information. We finally asked second opinion from different company and they confirmed everything: the heat exchanger broke and it's because of the leaking from how the AC installed. We are very frustrated right now and I don't have the confidence with this company anymore. We picked this company through Costco at that time because we trusted Costco. I guess that's our biggest mistake, too. By the way, this is an ongoing process. Home Comfort finally offered to change the heat exchanger with no cost. However I really don't have confidence with their skills at all so I asked them to pay the other company. Not sure if they would be responsible to that extent.

A representative from HCA came promptly to give an estimate on a new furnace. Rather than writing up pricing on different units right away, the rep told me that he would email this paperwork. It never arrived, and now that I've read the reviews from past customers, I'm glad that it didn't. Perhaps it is unfair not to give this company more of a chance, but this initial contact gave me little reason to do so.

We had a problem with my HOA from he'll. They came out. The company did extra work. There maybe no pleasing my HIA, but ,Chris, Chyenne and Scott Talbot are outstanding. Their focus is on the customer, the customers disability and the customers satisfaction.

We installed AC with this company. In the initial visit, was told that you can install AC without any issues. But after installation, found that its not effective in the top floor. When I called them, was told that in the top floor, return air duct is at bottom of the wall, and hot air always go high and at near ceiling, so hot air is not coming to vent and top floor is not cooling.

This is something should be checked in the initial visit and explain the issues upfront to the customer instead of letting the customer know when customer complains about it. After spending huge money for the AC, am feeling bad.

I had some questions about my unit and I had called Chandler. She was very informative and helpful. Also, she was very patient with me and I appreciate that because I have a hard time understanding these types of things. I will be recommending this business. Very good service

My mom got an invoice for something she had not received today. Totally confused her. She is 87. They seem to want payment in advance for something. Tried to call. No one available. Am considering contacting the AGO as a consumer complaint as this seems a bit like fraud.

We had a complete Heat Pump system installed last year by HCA. Had a few problems last winter with the system, which seemed to be caused by a faulty system software update which was carried out remotely by Carrier...but which took 3 separate site visits over a week's time to get fixed. All covered by warranty, thank goodness.

The summer went well, cool and comfortable... but this winter the system again crashed during the cold spell in November...this time it was apparently due to a problem with the installation, incorrect auxiliary heating ""strips"" and/or power panel breakers...the repairs covered by warranty, fortunately, but...

The several service calls (performed promptly and expertly by Dylan, Joe, Eduardo and Allen) which followed were frustrated by a single issue: completely inadequate transfer of 'intel' from one shift to the next.

The repair saga began with 3 hours of expert diagnostic and analytic work done by Dylan, who passed the baton to the installer team. Dylan's diagnosis and recommendations did not get relayed in full to Joe, the repair tech who followed Dylan, who had only half of the problem conveyed by what little information he did get.

I tried to explain my understanding of Dylan's recommendations (which included problems with the recently installed accessory breaker panel), but Joe clearly hadn't heard anything about that. Joe left our house after installing different heater strips, reassuring us confidently that all would be well. That night (another sub -zero night), the system failed again, inadequate heat during the night, a circuit breaker tripping and allowing the temp to fall to 62 --and the heater strips not operating when needed in the morning.

Another service call: next came Eduardo, who didn't have info or notes from Joe; he worked for several hours trying to sort out the difficulties, couldn't quite solve the issue, but found that something in the heater strip circuitry seemed to be causing a circuit overload, tripping the smaller 25 amp breaker after a minute or two...he reassured us that his impressions would be relayed to an Emergency Weekend Serviceman that would come the next morning.

So, Allen arrived the next day as promised--he told us he had no idea what had been going on these past 3 service calls, was unable to successfully contact either Eduardo or Allen's own supervisor, and therefore I (again) had to try to explain, as well as I could, what had been going on...and when Allen left he hadn't been able to reproduce the failure mode that Eduardo had noted, so he left without really accomplishing much, but not avoiding spending several hours tinkering with the system trying to make sense of whatever was supposedly the problem.

This is not good. These men are experienced, hard-working, intelligent, very personable people doing their best under circumstances that are making it IMPOSSIBLE for them to do their jobs efficiently, and wasting many hours trying to make up for what appears to be a total absence of an effective system for conveying technical information between shifts. I will vouch for their dedication and willingness to go the extra mile for the customer, but it has not been a good experience for my wife and I.

We understand the complexities that must be involved in creating a working COMM system that must span 3 different but related functional units in a single company, but I want you to know that, at the present time, that system is DOWN.

This company attempts to price gouge their customers. Though we signed an agreement with them to service our water heater, they said that service isn't actually covered under the agreement and asked for more money to do maintenance work. Even though this wasn't stipulated in any contract we signed, they are still asking for more money to do basic service they'd agreed to (and previously done before; it's unclear what suddenly changed).

Despite months of trying to resolve this issue, we're still stuck dealing with them. I can't stress enough: avoid hiring this company at all costs.

I hired HCA to install a 220V outlet as I was converting from a gas range to electric. They were timely and professional in completion of work. However, I later discovered they did not recess the outlet box into the wall, so the new range stuck out and blocked one of my cupboards from opening. When I talked to the electrician and asked if there was a reason they did an exterior install of the outlet box (trying to determine if it could be corrected), he said they ""always do it"" this way and his range sticks out too. I then left a total of 5 messages for the manager indicating I wanted to discuss the problem, and he never called back -- even though I indicated I would pay for the fix if necessary.
My takeaway -- they do the work based on what is most cost effective for them and they don't care about customer satisfaction at all. Very disappointing. I wish I'd read the reviews here before hiring!
