Home Choice Services was dispatched via my American Home Shield Home Warranty Service for a clogged toilet. The technician came with a plunger and a short 6-ft snake. He felt confident that it cleared the clog, but if not, he suggested to recall and they would use a 20-foot snake to fully clear the clog. Within a few days the toilet clogged again. The second technician came and flushed the toilet and told me it's fine. I said it was a partial clog and the only toilet in the house so of course I'm going to plunger and snake it myself to at least be able to have a functioning toilet in the household. He just left without snaking or doing anything other than flush it. I have since been trapped in a hamster wheel between AHS sending recalls and the company either doesn't answer my calls and is reporting that there is nothing wrong with my toilet. Obviously, if I have to plunger my toilet a dozen times within a month, there is something clogging somewhere along the line.

We have home insurance with American Home Shield and we had an issue with the garbage disposal leaking. AHS sent out these contractors within my area and if I had to choose I would have never went with this company. Absolutely an awful experience. The garbage disposal they replaced which is fully covered by my insurance was not the same one I had. They replaced with a different cheaper brand and worse the water was not draining from the sink into the pipes after the replacement. They refused to acknowledge that the disposal was not correctly installed. The water was kicking back and jamming anything going down. We reached back to let them know of the issue and they never respond back to us to fix the issue they caused. Infact I have the text where they are telling me to fix it myself. (Attached). They even lied to our insurance company saying they reached out to us and we denied the appointment. Total lies!!! They avoided and ignored our concerns. Very poor management and customer service. Save yourself the hassle. They are a fraudulent company! Beware! Never use this company. We have reported them to the better business bureau and filing other reports against them!! Absolutely terrible management!

Absolutely the worst customer service. Rude employees answering the phone, refused to let me speak to a a manager, refused to call me back. Literally gave me the run around when I have a pretty serious plumbing backup in my home. It's sad when you are willing to pay for a good company and then they behave like this. DO NOT USE THEM!

Does not call back at all. Had to go with a different company to fix my water heater plus they have bad reviews. First they said my water heater is covered by my home warranty because of wear and tear and then my warranty told me that they said it's not wear and tear and they did not cover my water heater. Sounds like this company and my home warranty working together so they don't have to spend money. They just took my $100 dollar service fee and for what? I could have gotten it checked or estimated for free.

Communication is a major problem. I can get the company to complete the job because they don't answer the phone or call you back. Even when you try to call their technicians back, it goes to voicemail. Just waiting to get a new company authorized tomorrow. If you can avoid having this company assigned to your work order, do so.

What a nightmare of a company. ZERO communication skills. Initally came out on Tuesday, diagnosed problem with hot water heater. Told me to hurry up and approve the claim with AHS and they could install Friday. Did so, because we need hot water. Thursday rolled around and now they say it will be at least 3 days. Then set the install for the following monday between 11-2:30. Then they call and say they can be there between 2-4 that same Friday. Then they call at 3:50 that friday to cancel because they need two techs to do the install. Now it's Monday and we have no hot water, and they can't provide a date of when they can do the job. Absolutely ridiculous. I guess AHS is the only way a company this poor can get work.

TERRIBLE service. They have kept us waiting to fix a mixing valve issue for two weeks. We patiently waited for the window for them to come fix the issue this week. Then, when the window arrived, they went to the wrong address, and instead of correcting their mistake, they said they would be rescheduling us for another day. We have yet to hear when the reschedule will take place. This is a poor company with poor service, and their apologies are empty and mean nothing. And their """"customer service"""" is essentially automated and robotic.

This company was sent out by AHS. They came out and let us know what was wrong and eventually came to fix it. The only issue I had was their lack of communication. There was not a direct line to call to get help. I had to leave a voicemail and hope they would call back. Over all my experience was ok. When they are present they do a great job however, if it's an extreme emergency it will take a while.

Super poor company. Never never never use them . They just waste your money and time.

they came out to repair a tankless water heater. the heater was not producing hot water. they reported back the inurance company that all it needed was routine maintience. however they told me it neeeded to be repaired and replace. routine mainetence would not repair this heater which they know but also if they repored to American home shield insuracne company """" routine maintence"""" they know coverage will be denied. they take your $100 service deposit fee and go on the next job. its a complete set up and rip off.
