Inadequate Service Home Choice came out and installed a new water heater. Months later, I had the house inspected. The inspector wrote """"Exposed romex at water heater (conduit too short). Recommend having a licensed electrical contractor make repairs as needed."""" I called the company 6 times (spoke with agent and left voice messages). Never heard back from them. My understanding from this company was that they have installers that are capable and licensed to do the job. - NOT!

Service scheduled well in advance, and then time window of 4+ hours still pushed back after taking half the day off work in order to be home, and then try to call and get automated answering giving you the wrong orders for pressing numbers! Poor customer service all around! Still waiting for the plumber to get here today....

I have called these people several times to get them to take payment via some other way than cashapp. They were sent thru AHS. Communication is scrappy and they came out to identify a leak that cannot be seen using no equipment or anything. Ridiculous company and AHS doesn't care. What reputable company doesn't take credit card.

Horrible customer service. They came to fixed a couple of my toilets ordered the wrong parts and closed the work order even though I was told they were going to come back with the correct parts. When I called them to check the status of the job they said it was all taken care of. I explained that they ordered the wrong parts and were supposed to order the correct parts and come back. I received no response and when I called them to get an update and was told that I had to pay $180. I ended up going with another company that took care of my issue right away.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Contacted them for drainage and water heating issues. They diagnosed it by saying we would have to replace the whole system. They said the pooling was due to the drainage cap so they removed it and said that would alleviate the problem short term. Once it was removed, the shower still clearly pooled. Upon calling them back, they kept saying it was the cap and that we would have to pay another service fee for them to come out. Do not care about solving the problem and only care about causing headaches and taking money.

This company is a """"hatchet man"""" contractor for American Home Shield. I disagreed with my first plumber, and demanded a second opinion. So they sent home choice services plumber who was great, he agreed with me on everything. But then the home office got a hold of everything and falsified what he said. By the time they sent the report back to American Home Shield, it was almost verbatim with the first report. That first company was Circa services. When American Home Shield doesn't want to pay a claim, they send out a company like circa services, to say exactly what they want to hear. Then when you get a second opinion they send out another plumbing company like Home choice to agree with what the first company said. I'm sure that it wasn't the plumber, but the home office of Home choice services that did the dirty deed. Live and learn. I am dropping American Home Shield, and I plan on taking them to small claims court to pay for my water heater. Keep me once shame on you, cheat me twice shame on me. I had to pay for it myself. I'm also planning to check with the lawyer to see if I can include circa services and Home choice services in the lawsuit. Can you guys tell that I'm a little pissed off? Too bad I can't give them less than one star

Worse customer service EVER. STAY AWAY WILL NOT FIX PROB.!!!! Can't resolve simple issues and takes days to come to your house. Save your money and go elsewhere. WORSE COMPANY EVER

Company was hired by American Home Shield to replace 80 gallon water heater in my home. They claim that it's not possible to replace with a 80 gallon water heater because of energy saving so they will replace with 50 gallon water heater and put an exchange value but the modification will require $300+ extra that is not covered by AHS. After much struggle dealing with the company by phone to schedule the appointment and dealing with the language barrier with them, they arrive to complete the job. The technician would not start the job until he receives a check for the additional fee for the modification of mixing valve. The technician was left working in my garage for about 1 hour in which time he had cashed the check into mobile deposit to the company. The job was completed without the mixing valve or any necessary modification. The technician refused to reverse the money difference because it was unnecessary and the 50 gallon replacement was covered 100% by American Home Shield. I have since been unsuccessful to get my money back and the work was not done as promised. Also, the 50 gallon is not enough to operate hot water for a house with square footage above 3500 sq feet and we continuously run out of hot water after full day of operations with multiple people in our household. I have then hired a plumbing company for a second opinion and an 80 gallon water heater is definitely a recommended replacement for a house of that size. NEVER again will I use this company and I hope no one else falls for their traps. I guess the 1 star rating from all their customers explains it all. Maybe American Home Shield can stop contracting with them.

Wish I could leave zero stars!!! Terrible service. I have now had an appointment with them for different times and they are a no show and don't have the courtesy to call and even let you know they are not going to make it. And you can only leave them a message or text. You cannot get a live person on the live. Do not do business with this company!!!!

Home Choice Services was dispatched via my American Home Shield Home Warranty Service for a clogged toilet. The technician came with a plunger and a short 6-ft snake. He felt confident that it cleared the clog, but if not, he suggested to recall and they would use a 20-foot snake to fully clear the clog. Within a few days the toilet clogged again. The second technician came and flushed the toilet and told me it's fine. I said it was a partial clog and the only toilet in the house so of course I'm going to plunger and snake it myself to at least be able to have a functioning toilet in the household. He just left without snaking or doing anything other than flush it. I have since been trapped in a hamster wheel between AHS sending recalls and the company either doesn't answer my calls and is reporting that there is nothing wrong with my toilet. Obviously, if I have to plunger my toilet a dozen times within a month, there is something clogging somewhere along the line.
