Hofmeyer Plumbing came recommended to me by several friends and came through for me in my biggest time of need just in time as a new customer for a reasonable price that was quoted up front. I discovered a flooded basement on a Friday afternoon after a heavy rain that continued for days. Calloway Restoration came out right away and verified the water was flowing in from the sump and the sump pump was not running and all of the emergency 24 hour plumbers were booked through the weekend and I had to stop the rising water and replace the pump ASAP so that we could start removing standing water, carpets and drywall and start drying out with fans before mold set in. Max answered first thing Saturday morning and was sympathetic to my needs even though I was not an existing customer when may people were in dire need for similar situations. He sent Jake out within the hour and he stayed as long as it took to replace my sump pump and evaluate and clean out the discharge line to keep more water from coming in the basement. Jake showed me what to look out for to keep the pump from getting damaged and keep water out of the basement until they could return to complete the work after taking care of the critical repair to get water pumping out of my basement before the next big rainfalls in the forecast. They returned the following week to complete and underground discharge line repair and extension and to clean gravel from the check valve and finish sealing up the sump/radon fan pit and confirmed optimal function of the primary and battery backup sump pump. They helped me out in my time of need and I never felt like they took advantage in any way with fair pricing and prompt and excellent service. I had been looking for a good go to plumber with leas than optimal service from past plumbers and Hofmeyer Max Plumbing definitely fits the bill and will be my go to plumber from here on and I would not hesitate to recommend them to any friends and family and I am grateful that they were recommended to me. Very nice trusting and honest people hard working with fair prices and excellent service!!

Hands down... if you need a plumber this company is the best. I remember using them in our old home because they were local. They did a great job with a pipe that froze and broke.
Years later in our new home we had an outside facuet handle break off. We had another company come out to fix it and I was NOT impressed, the tried to take advantage and do work not necessary and charged a fortune.. SO this time when a pipe froze and broke we called Hoffmyer again. The got here same day, very quick, and cleaned up afterthemselves, replaced the handle from the original company and overall it was less than the other company.
Just their professionalism, quickness, and honesty is why they have me for a for life customer. ( Hopefully I don't need to use them much)

I've had two jobs done by Hofmeyer now, first replacing a faucet and second replacing our water heater. They're very friendly and professional. Their prices are a little higher than some others, but they do quality work and get the job done fast. When we needed a new water heater, Max took the time to explain the different available models, which ones they recommend, and why. When I asked for a specific, upgraded model they didn't have in stock, they were able to get it from their distributor and install the next day. They showed up right on time, got to work, and cleaned up the area when they were done. When it turned out we needed an electrical upgrade for the water heater, they were able to contact an electrician and get him out right away to finish the job at a very fair price. I am extremely happy with the quality of work. Hofmeyer's service is well worth the price paid.

We stopped up our son and daughter in law's kitchen sink while babysitting. We tried the usual fixes but no go. Called Hofmeyer at 7:45 am and phone answered on 2nd ring. Promised us afternoon service and by 2 pm they were here and gone. Nice guys and super clean about not making mess. Very fair pricing, too.

Water was dripping through the ceiling from a second floor shower/tub. We called Hofmeyer to help identify the source of the drip and to fix the problem. When the repairmen arrived he was very rude, condescending and incredibly unhelpful. He said the tile was installed incorrectly which is why water was dripping. He didn't even turn on the water to investigate the problem. He left after five minutes. A few days later we received a bill in the mail for $79, which we paid.

We figured out on our own that water was dripping because the shower head was not on tight enough. Water was squirting back against the wall where the spigot comes and then rolling down the inside of the wall. The plumber would have noticed this if he had simple turned on the water. A simple tightening of the shower head solved the problem.

I will NEVER call Hofmeyer again and felt is was my duty to warn anyone considering this company for plumbing work. If I could give them zeros stars I would.

We have been using HOFMEYER plumbing for about 20 years. We have a house that is nearly 100 years old. We've tried a few different plumbers, but HOFMEYER has been the best. From small repairs to large, they've been awesome. Fair in their pricing, and great with their work and response time. They are attentive to the needs of an old house, without taking advantage of you. They are our go to plumber. As long as they are in business, they will be our plumbers.

Excellent residential AND even better commercial plumbing service company. We have worked with Hoffmeyer at our commercial office building for decades and they are the best. Today for example, we had a small leak in a pipe and they rearranged their schedule to be out within 90 minutes. Incredibly knowledgeable experts and highly professional. An amazing company that we will continue to use for years to come.

Great service, quick and very professional, people might complain they're busy - that's because they are good. I've had a lot of plumbers work in my apt, but Jake was by far the most courteous and professional I've ever had. Even took time to install an extra faucet after fixing my drain. Super efficient A+

Outstanding service. The plumber arrived on time . . . was fast, friendly and efficient, and I have a hundred year old house with some of the original fittings - very cool, but parts are no longer available. So he took the time to make sure he could fix the problems, and actually retooled some parts so they would work. And the price was less than I expected by half!

Plumber called to install shower faucet and cartridge provided by Delta.
Plumber attempted to remove the cartridge without a needle nose wrench because he had let another worker borrow his breaking the cartridge into pieces. He left and went to McCabes to purchase needle nose wrench returned with tool and you would have thought the entire wall was going to explode trying to remove the cartridge that he busted. Finished the job $150.00 labor only and faucet is still leaking he came back replaced 2nd cartridge took my new Delta cartridge said he would use at an apartment job because the o ring was split from debris from the 1st visit and said if it still leaks would have to replace everything cut the shower wall install new fittings approx $650 maybe take a little off the price since I had already paid for the 1st job.
I phoned office Kyle said the cartridge was old and sometimes this happens and would not acknowledge plumber did not use proper wrench. Spoke with owner Max Sr and asked him why would I have them complete a job that they created. Will send complaint to BBB and Attorney General.
