My journey in plumbing started around 13 years ago with a local service and repair plumbing company in San Luis Obispo. Following years of experience in repairs, I moved into new construction plumbing. I was involved in plumbing for residential track and custom homes from the foundation up for several years and later ventured into commercial and industrial plumbing. I participated in numerous projects, including hotels, wineries, and shopping centers across the central coast. Eventually, I took my plumbing skills to Colorado and spent a season at South Pole Station in Antarctica. I have returned to my roots, proudly serving the San Luis Obispo community with high-quality work at reasonable rates.

Brian Hoffman provides superb service. He has done several repairs for me at my house and a rental unit and has always done a great job. He shows up on time, charges a fair price and does the job with professionalism, courtesy and a positive can do attitude. Really nice to have found someone that you can count on every time!!

Brian was really great. Answered the initial call was able to come at 9am the next morning. Arrived on time, worked efficiency on removing and replacing my garbage disposal, cleaned up and efficiently got my toilet unplugged. All within an hour! Unfortunately when his plumbing Agar pole dropped, it chipped the floor molding on the threshold and I didn't see it till after he'd gone but when I texted with a pix of it, he promptly called and arranged to come by and he took care of it, no problem. Thank you Brian! Will definitely a tell call them again when I need their services.

Brian Hoffman is an Outstanding Plumber.

Each time I have called him for installations or to fix problems, he is quick to respond & does a fantastic job. His pricing is very reasonable.

He is also happy to fix the incomplete ""fixes"" that I have started, but I have screwed up. He also has no problem with me suppling my own choice parts....

like Toto Toilets from Amazon.

Who knew that Amazon sells this stuff at great prices

...with Prime, the well packed THRONES comes right to your doorstep....intact
with not a crack, nor chip!

BTW- I had done a shit load of research several years ago about the best rated, non-doo-doo clogging/staining Gravity flow Johns available in some parts of the US. I guess some would call me OCD or Anal.

I found a study done in Canada....forget those stupid golf ball ads for some Toilets...
Toto Drake is the real shit. The extra wide 4"" diameter makes a world of difference.

I had self installed 3 of these babies 10 years ago in my other house, & they are still great. I even had a fancy electronic heated, blow-drying Japanese-style Bidet upon one of them.

So far he has installed two Toto Drake Toilets, a new drain, removed an ancient water softener, fixed a garbage disposal leak (that was mis-diagnosed by both a $475 home or a $80 pest inspector).

Brian is willing to help me do a partial renovation on this Condo that I am currently renting & trying to buy....if I can survive

MORTGAGE HELL without a Realtor on either side of the transaction....
A FANNIE MAE CONDO WAIVER!
A REAL ESTATE ATTORNEY!
INSPECTORS!
BROKERS!
ESCROW!
29 Year OLD SMOKE DETECTORS!
WORRY ABOUT MY Wife's., Mom's, In-laws, Neighbors, & my HEALTH!
LEAKS!
QUICKEN LOANS MOAN!
EARNEST MONEY!
MORE FRIGGIN MONEY!
CASHING IN OLD 401k & 457's FOR THE DOWNPAYMENT!
ETC
ETC
ETC
ETC
ETC
..........blah blah blah!

IN other words a crash course in Real Estate Finance...WTF did I get myself into?

The place is in one of, if not the best areas in the US, with a great Ocean view, great weather, great safe neighborhood, & you can even ""forget"" to lock your door.

BUT this 29 yr. old Condo is still in the 1970-80's era & definitely could use some GRANITE instead of crappo white tile with grungy GROSS grout. Some nice Porcelain Vessel Sinks with some Waterfall faucets.

& maybe a DIY bookshelf/bar around the Kitchen with LED backlit Onyx Panels...

complete with a French Champagne tap?

Maybe I will ask Brian?

One can dream?

At least I will once I get back & recover from a manic very brief trip from SFO to JFK via JetBlues new First Class Mint airflight, on Thanksgiving Day
(to visit my poor old sick pre-Nursing-Home-bound Mom). I will be going from 70-80 degrees to 29 degrees with snow....OMG! I will then rush back a few days late to fight through jet lag, my job, & closing on the Condo....

Once they had me the title, the my diabolical renovation DIY projects will go into full force....my poor wife!

Anyway,

This honest local family owned business is a pleasure to deal with.

It is so rare to find people who take pride in doing great honest work.

You would be hard pressed to find better.

Brian is on the right in their pic.

I called and was able to have someone come out to snake my main line within a few hours. Brian was prompt and efficient. He quickly cleared the line and indicated on our receipt what he thought the problem with the pipe was. A couple of weeks later I had the same problem and called again. I scheduled an appointment the next morning. When he did not arrive between the quoted times, he called and let me know he was running late. Brian was able to clear the line and offered to inspect the line with his camera since he was there already, at no additional cost. He worked over an hour and showed me the video screen where the old clay pipe was dislodged by roots grown into where a gasket should be located. I was prepared to pay the fee again, but he did not charge me. Brian stated that the roots must have been missed last time when he could not get a larger line in the pipe. He even took a photo and text-ed it to me along with a description. We have used this company before to repair old pipes from the tub, which turned out to be a huge project involving removing a piece of the kitchen wall. They were always efficient and straight forward. I will be calling them again and recommend their services as well.

These guys are great! Had a problem on Sunday, called on Monday morning and got an appointment at 1. Brian showed right on time at my place (although I was running behind) and was totally patient with my lack of punctuality. Identified what he would need right away and before I know it, shower drain was fully functional! Great service with a real pro! Definitely suggest giving these guys a ring if you need any help! Thanks once again guys!

Another emergency at my household (that's what happens when you buy an older home) and another fantastic job done by Hoffmann Family Plumbing! Super fast and price ended up being exactly what was quoted. Gives me a peace of mind knowing that I have a plumber I can always count on.

Brian replaced out leaking water heater on 1/2/13, the same day that we called. He was friendly, polite and professional. I would recommend this company.

I called for a plumber to look at some drain backups we had and Brian was out within the next couple hours and the job was diagnosed and finished in no time. We had yet another (unrelated) issue the within the next week or so, I called Brian later in the afternoon and he was able to make it out early the next morning. Since we were having some leakage issues the first time around Brian was gracious enough to check our meter and calm our minds of possible existing leaks. Good work, speedy service, I highly recommend these guys!

I had a serious pluming emergency at my house last night. A pipe under the bathroom actually blew apart and the water literally covering the bathroom floor. I found Hoffman's on Yelp and they sent a plumber to turn off the water right away before serious damage was done. Thank god because I would have never known where the shut off was. The guy said that we might have to go without water for the night but he would go under he house to see if it was something that he could fix tonight. He went under and said he found an old pipe blew apart and would need to be rewelded he showed me a picture of it. I was thinking how bad that sucked because now we would need to wait until the next day and go without water but he said he could take care of it right away instead! After fixing the pipe he recommended checking the water pressure on the pipe because its not common for pipes to blow apart that way. He found the water pressure extremely high, over 100 pounds when it should be much less! That meant a special valve that slows down needed to be replaced but because it was not an emergency he could come back the following day and save us money. This is one of the better company's in the area that I've felt with, the plumber went above and beyond what he could have. I will be passing on their phone number to all my friends and family! :)

I am impressed with the plumber that came out from this company last Friday afternoon. He did an great job of finding a way to fix our problem without the need for us to take out a second mortgage.

I was sitting in my living room unwinding and watching reruns of Star Trek when I heard a loud pop and the sound of gushing water coming from my bathroom. I ran to the bathroom and there was water spraying out of the middle of the wall.

I called their office at 4:00 Friday afternoon and had a plumber at my house within a few minutes. I guess the shower faucet had a fitting break so he gave me the option of fixing the leak or replacing the faucet entirely. Being on a pretty strict budget right now I opted for the simpler fix. I thought it was really cool that they didn't try to coerce me into spending a lot of money though. I got a card for myself and a couple extra for some friends. These guys are legit
